This author was surprised to learn that there was only one Catholic pilgrimage company in the United States that offered a pilgrimage to Japan, a country she longed to visit, not only to visit Catholic and other historic sites, but also to see, once again, a friend she had not seen for many years. Even though this Catholic pilgrimage was canceled twice due to low enrollment, she never gave up hope that it would come to fruition. It should also be noted that typical Catholic pilgrimages are carried out using a chartered bus. This pilgrimage was unique in that it would be mostly carried out using their high-speed bullet train. To be able to take the bullet train throughout this country enabled her to see what it was like to live not only in a city in Japan but also the beautiful countryside. Hopefully, in the future, more Catholic pilgrimage companies will offer more pilgrimages to Japan to increase their knowledge of the history of Catholicism in Japan.

This book is undoubtedly rich in different diverse sources and literature that are put together into a coherent whole instead of dispersed copious literature on the genesis of West African countries' integration into the world political economy and geopolitics of the drug trade. To the author's best knowledge, there is no similar book that has focused on the recent West Africa drug connection. The book is well-researched and documented. It fills the missing void in the discourse of West Africa drug trade arrangements. This book is one of its kind in the annals of West Africa's drug trade history. This thrust and the thesis of the book is to provide a plausible and sufficient explanation as to why West Africa has become international traffickers' transshipments and transits hubs and cocaine distribution and repackage centers for cocaine en route to Europe. This book is informative for a wide variety of readers such as students, social analysts from different social sciences disciplines, drug policy makers in West African countries, and elsewhere in the world. The book's subject matter is a global-wide problem that concerns all modern human societies worldwide. There are no human societies that are immune to the dynamics of the global drug trade industries that pose threat to human, national, and global security in its wake.

In this book, we acknowledge God's plan for mankind is not wrath but salvation in Christ Jesus. We will look at many attributes that must be found in a child of God. These include righteousness, holiness, redemption, praying, glorifying God, forgiveness, truth, and obedience. We consider the one item that can keep us from heaven--sin. We all sin, but the good news is that when sin increases, the grace of God abounds all the more. The Bible informs us hell was not made for mankind. We will look at grace, your account in heaven, the rapture, and the second coming. We will ask you to consider where you currently stand in relation to these topics and ask if your name is included in the Book of Life. We plan to meet you in the air at the rapture.

The "silent night" of Jesus's birth, as the popular Christmas carol would lead us to believe, is not so silent after all! In the account of the nativity of the Savior and what happens before and after that holy and blessed night in Matthew 1:18-2:18 and in Luke 1:5-2:40, there are twenty-one voices of individuals or groups giving their own perspectives on this sacred event. These twenty-one persons or groups form three circles of seven each who respond in significantly different ways to the nativity. This collection of Christmas poems is designed to give a voice to each of them and to encourage all of us to raise our own voices in praise of the newborn King!

Choosing peace sounds nice, doesn't it?You may be wondering, where can I possibly start? Here in this book, you will find your way.A path to humor and hope. A journey through challenges and balance. A feeling of love and joy. And in our sometimes "less than peaceful world," you will find peace if you choose peace.Peace will come in all sizes. Some of you are looking for world peace--love that choice. Some of you just want a little peace of mind, a little peace with yourself. Wherever you are in your journey, you can bring about peace one day, one step, one choice at a time.Peace will always be the more difficult choice, but that's what God has called us to do. God calls us to peace on many levels: peace with ourselves, our family, our neighbors, our community, and yes, even peace in our world. Where will you start? Are you ready to choose? So let's strive for the things that bring peace and the things that build each other up.--Romans 14:19 (CEB)

All this...the Lord made me to understand by the writing, by His hand, upon me--all the work to be done according to the plan. (1 Chronicles 28:19)The overall purpose for these scriptural writings and meditations, A Word from the Rock (Listening to My Father Makes My Heart Sing), is to selah!Selah is a Hebrew rendering, which represents "a stop, a pause, reflection, to think on, and to praise." Selah is translated as an "intermission" in the Septuagint, which is the earliest Greek translation of the Old Testament, was completed in second century BCE, and was quoted by Apostle Paul.To selah is to focus on the things that our Father, who is in heaven, might be speaking through His Holy Spirit to our hearts and what He wants us to think about.Selah:

The purpose of The Spiritual Self-Assessment Interview is for individuals to take a deeper look at their spiritual relationship with God and evaluate themselves on how well they are living out what they profess. This first-of-its-kind book will encourage you and provide you with a tool to help measure areas that can be improved upon. It will also give you a sense of accomplishment as you will vividly see areas where you have done well. This is a fresh perspective to challenge the way we think in our current culture. We are evaluated at our place of work and given a ninety-day review, a midyear review, and an annual review. We then strive to do our very best to improve in areas where we fall short for our employer. If we are willing to challenge ourselves to do better due to the critique of man, how much more should we be willing to do whatever it takes to improve ourselves for our God?
