She then attended Harvard, graduated cum laude, and went to live briefly in Los Angeles. Returning to New York, she worked at any number of office jobs and received her masters from Columbia University, going on to get a Ph.D. from NYU in English.

The poems have great power of observation and originality of imagination. The poems reveal consummate artistry and wealth of imagination and fancy that will certainly appeal to the readers' own feelings and stimulate their imagination. No doubt, in this poetry collection we find fruitful, varied and memorable poems. BIOI live in Wisconsin with my beloved wife, Manijeh. The simple lines I write attempt to express those promptings of the soul that well up from time to time. They originate from unexpected but welcomed insights, reflection on the more profound aspects of life, or everyday experiences. Poetry has the power to take flight to the high heavens and beyond; turn to the earth of the familiar and caress her gently; then dive deep into the bowels of profundity. It is this quality of poetry that allows it to walk the shores and enter the seas of receptive hearts, therein to swim, plunge, and ultimately, dive for the coral and pearls of some deeper meaning. It has the ability and power to express essence, beauty, love, and a host of other qualities. For this I continually strive. I hope some day to attain it.

This is a book of what I call miniatures. They are short form poetry. They are anywhere from two to twenty lines long, although the longer pieces generally consist of several shorter sections. Most of these poems are only a few lines long. The vast majority of poems I write are longer than those found in this book. These poems began, about thirty years ago, as an attempt to achieve as much compression as I could in a poem.

The great significance of these poems for all readers is due to neat phrasing and verbal condensation. We find here an immense diversity of poetic thought that will surely attract readers.

Sarah Crabtree has been writing on and off for over twenty years with varying success. She had a novel longlisted in a fantasy competition a number of years ago. Real life got in the way of any literary dreams, but recently she seems to have got her writing mojo back.
