A kid-friendly, illustrated, educational, and emotionally-supportive workbook to guide parents, guardians, and caregivers through the process of supporting children who have experienced the hospitalization, death, and/or the child's loved one becoming an organ, cornea, and/or tissue donor. The pages provide a step-by-step guide for adults to lead children toward understanding and give children an age-appropriate creative outlet and space to process their thoughts, feelings, experiences, to learn, and to get their much-needed answers to tough questions. It's written in age-appropriate language to help children ages 5 (with the help of an adult) to 12 (who can use this as a self-guided workbook). The author and artist have collectively over 30 years of experience working with children, teens, and their families dealing with grief, illness, and/or organ, cornea, and tissue donation. The author has served on several national boards as a specialist in these fields and has 1000s of hours of direct service with families both in and out of hospitals, home-based, community-based, and out-patient office settings.
