Of all the planetary bodies anywhere in our cosmos, why is it that the human race is so conflicted, so out of synch with majestic order on a colossal scale? By now, should we not have harmonized with the elliptical rhythm, the grand cadence and uniform elegance of a functional and ever expanding universe? This work is my contemplative journey through the human Dis-ease of our unlawfully restricted awareness and cosmic irresponsibility. Our realization of this state should illicit right actions, the transformative husbandry of our superpowers of willful individual and cumulative accountability and responsibility as sentient, spiritual beings. We must yet earn our citizenship as tenants in limitless space.

Preface:It has not been that long ago that I took ballroom dance lessons. I had a blast and took copious notes as I was determined to understand the theory, the practice, the science, the art, and the pageantry of dance. What quickly arose on my dance journey is that dancing emerged as expression of humans living, loving and experiencing life itself! It can invoke warlike hostility, promote team solidarity, reveal happiness or stir romantic passion. You may have noted in your own experience that dancing can reveal marital unity or discord. It's sad when couples don't dance together anymore, in more ways than one. I don't think it's a coincidence dancing is universally integral to every major societal function were music is involved. Hence, life itself is a dance that must be properly choreographed in the theater of unspoken rhythms. Each of us then, must study, observe and, as perfectly as possible, practice the proper steps. Don't hesitate to acquire the proper knowledge and coaching as "All" of the dance greats had coaches. We must also continue to develop an ear for music, especially good music that motivates us to get up and get into the dance, in synch with the best moments and opportunities that life has to offer. What follows are a series of poetic "Acts" that each of us may have played roles in throughout our life either as a dancer, choreographer or spectator. Three, two, one…and…. ACTION!!!!

I want to say up front that I am not on any psychiatric medications, yet, though my wife thinks I need something. It's that whole fine line between genius and insanity phenomenon playing itself out, maybe? Any who, I do believe that food speaks to the very core of what makes us humans. We emotionalize it, humanize it, demonize it, spiritualize it, romanticize it, psychoanalyze it and in so many ways impute to it far more than our ancestors did.Our forebearers ate to survive only and now at the other end of the spectrum food, for some, is the center of life itself! I am merely advocating a somewhat balanced middle ground where one can derive pleasure, humor, satiety, from finely prepared dishes that elevate the dining experience. Beyond that, a psychiatric consult could be in order.As you read on you will encounter puns, spoofs, prose and any other literary device I could employ. I am not sure what I had more fun doing, experimenting with and tweaking the recipes or cooking up these poems, you decide. Also, at the back of the book I attempt to thank absolutely everyone that I could think of that I took poetic license with. Thank you all for your support.
