The concept of employee health has long been understood to represent a state of well being that goes beyond (merely) the absence of illness. By combining physical and mental health services, it is anticipated that prevention and health promotion activities or pertinent policies will be found to be advantageous. In addition to giving employees autonomy in their work and jobs, organizations must also encourage employee involvement and psychological support in order to reduce workload through occupational wellbeing. Greater employee appearance at work results from a pleasant environment, which helps management achieve better results and form a strong community. Organizations can increase employee welfare by adopting a humane strategy and aiding for the family's welfare in contrast to their financial requirements. People's problems are exacerbated when they lose their jobs, because as a result of the lock-down restrictions due to COVID-19, they are forced to cope with this every day. This clarifies a person's personality in terms of how they view themselves and respond to various life circumstances. This is essential because it enables the analyst to compare how people respond to stressful conditions before a pandemic and how they respond to them after one has spread over the world. The results show that middle-aged men with only a secondary education who live in rented housing and lose their jobs due to the COVID-19 pandemic suffer the most mentally. A complete analysis of the results that helps to understand what factors lead to happiness. Also, the significance of mental health in light of the widespread pandemic that has gripped the entire world.

Patterns are one of the fundamental subjects of mathematics. Therefore, it has an important place in mathematics teaching. It is started by explaining to the students with repetitive shapes from preschool or first grade. In the first years when students meet the patterns, they concentrate on the processes of continuing and finding the missing ones. Algebraic representation of general rules is also taught, as abstraction skills begin to increase from the seventh grade.Patterns are numbers, shapes, etc., created according to a certain rule, logic are series. Patterns with a constant increment are called arithmetic sequences. Finding the rules for 1st order patterns is easy. It's really hard to find rules for 2nd order patterns.

Many actuaries worldwide use Systematic Mortality Risk (SMR) to value actuarial products such as annuities and assurances sold to policyholders. Data availability plays an essential role in ascertaining the SMR models' accuracy, and it varies from one country to another. Incorrect stochastic modeling of SMR models due to paucity of data has been a problem for many Sub-Saharan African countries such as Kenya, thus prompting modifications of the classical SMR models used in those countries with limited data availability. This study aimed at modelling SMR stochastically under the collateral data environment such as Sub-Saharan African countries like Kenya and then apply it in the current actuarial valuations. This book has formulated novel stochastic mortality risk models under the collateral data setup. Kenya population data is preferably integrated into the commonly applied stochastic mortality risk models under a 3-factor unitary framework of age-time-cohort. After testing SMR models on the Kenyan data to assess their behaviours, we incorporate the Bühlmann Credibility Approach with random coefficients in modeling. The randomness of the classical SMR models was modeled as NIG distribution instead of Normal distribution due to data paucity in Kenya (use of collateral data environment). The Deep Neural Network (DNN) technique solved data paucity during the SMR model fitting and forecasting. The forecasting performances of the SMR models were done under DNN and, compared with those from conventional models, show powerful empirical illustrations in their precision levels. Numerical results showed that SMR models become more accurate under collateral data after incorporating the BCA with NIG assumptions. The Actuarial valuation of annuities and assurances using the new SMR offered much more accurate valuations when compared to those under classical models. The study's findings should help regulators such as IRA and RBA make policy documents that protect all stakeholders in Kenya's insurance, social protection firms, and pension sectors.

The principal objective of the present work is to experimentally investigate the timeresolved spray characteristics. Droplets data in a dilute region of a high-pressure diesel spray were obtained by employing the PDIA (particle/droplet image analysis) method with double pulse laser illumination. Eulerian specification was adopted to describe the transient spray microscopic behavior within a fixed test window at ten representative instants after triggering the injection. The experimental results indicate that the transient spray evolution can be characterized in three distinct stages. During stage I (the latency stage), the spray tip develops and reaches the test location, but no discrete droplets were clearly observed. During stage II, the spray passes through the test window, from which discrete droplets are observed to disperse in the dilute region and the SMD of the droplets increases rapidly. During stage III, bulk spray disappears in the test window and only discrete droplets were observed. The SMD of the droplets is decreased to a ''steady-state" value. Based on these sampled and processed data, the droplet size distribution functions were obtained and compared with the Rosin-Rammler and the Nukiyama-Tanasawa function. Finally, the Stokes number and the Weber number of each droplet were determined, and the movement of the droplets were analyzed. The measured time dependent droplet behaviors are believed to provide important data for spray modeling and simulation.

In the last decades, Higher Education has undergone an ever-increasing trend of digitalization. Universities have already been working for years on adapting to the digital era, with new technologies and increased accessibility driving educators towards adopting new teaching methods. In this context, the sudden outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic enforced changes that would have taken years to happen in just a few months. Now that digital education is no longer optional, universities have been urged to adapt to an online environment, using a wide variety of approaches. This book aims at centralizing all the scattered knowledge that has been generated in the emergency-focused response to the pandemic, to turn it into a collection of best practices for educators and STEM universities. This study was run on a pool of 50 universities from 28 countries, by conducting interviews and workshops with students from each institute, analyzed through content analysis and thematic analysis techniques. These interviews covered 5 main areas: Teaching methods adapted to the online environment; Digital tools used for online lectures; Online laboratories; Online assessment methods; Personal interaction between students or students and educators in an online environment. The book finally recommends techniques that educators can use to create a more effective and digital-enhanced learning experience for their students, with the right balance of digital content and in-person interaction. It also advises actions that universities can take to support educators in achieving this goal, and to digitally enhance interaction between their students and educators

En el presente trabajo de investigación vamos a desarrollar la especial situación en la que se encuentran aquellas personas que no son heterosexuales y que al ser de igual sexo se encuentran impedidas de unirse legalmente así como todos aquellos derechos que se adquieren al casarse, entre ellos están los siguientes: heredar, adoptar, comprar bienes así como venderlos etc. Como sabemos se han realizado encuestas a la población a fin de coadyuvar a los legisladores; empero la población aún no acepta el matrimonio gay por múltiples factores existentes en nuestro País. Los parlamentarios en el año 2016, han tratado sobre una serie de proyectos relativos a la unión civil de los homosexuales; fueron presentados por congresistas interesados en el reconocimiento de las uniones de los homosexuales y que generaron una serie de controversias sobre la posibilidad de su reconocimiento legal. Ante esta realidad es que se planteó como objetivo de este trabajo el analizar si es viable, fáctica y jurídicamente la aprobación de dichos proyectos, para llegar a nuestras conclusiones y sugerencias.

Compared with traditional products, the connection attributes and intelligence attributes of the smart product are their differentiated competitive advantages. In order to understand how smart product attributes affect consumer attitudes and the influencing mechanism, we carry out this study. In the framework of psychological empowerment, this paper explores the relationship between smart product attributes and consumers' adoption intention. We consider that companies can launch a range of smart products, where the probability of success is related to the degree to which intelligent and connection attributes stimulate consumer motivation. Smart products with intelligence attributes and connection attributes can improve consumers' cognition of the four motivations consist of meaning, ability, autonomy and influence, which activate consumers' psychological sense of empowerment, and thus improve consumers' willingness to adopt. In addition, we also find that consumer heterogeneity influences this process. This paper mainly reports the moderating effect of Consumer domain-specific innovation. We find that the connection and intelligence attributes of smart products stimulate consumers' adoption intention effectively. The findings of this paper complement innovation management literature related to smart product attributes and provide suggestions for enterprises to introduce smart products.

Queuing theory has become most important discipline of Operation Research. In real world we are facing queues everywhere around us. Sometimes we see very complex type of queue networks. This book includes three complex types of queue network models. These queue network models has been analysed in stochastic environment with the facility of revisit for customer's satisfaction. Practical situations are also given at the end of every chapter. The applicability of these models is not limited to a specific situation; they are applicable to various fields. This book will be helpful for the researchers, who are working on queue network models in stochastic environment.

We discovered an electronic noise is generated in human brain from iron accumulations. While this noise increases with human age, we show that in brains with Alzheimer disease, this electronic noise interferes with cognitive functions.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of oil price shocks on credit and insolvency risks for the banking industry within specific banking specializations (conventional, interest free "Islamic", and conventional banks with Islamic windows), from 2000 through 2016, at both the aggregate and country levels in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).Design/methodology/approach We utilized fixed effects panel regressions to assess credit and solvency risks due to declining oil prices. Our final sample included unbalanced panel data for the banks operating in GCC including Conventional Banks, Islamic Banks and Conventional Banks offering Islamic products.Our findings show that falling oil prices, during our sample time-frame, increased credit risk for Conventional Banks and Conventional Banks with Islamic windows but not for Islamic Banks. Credit risk also increased for banks operating in Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. Utilizing both accounting-based and marked-based proxies for the insolvency risk, our analysis shows that oil price plunges did not increase insolvency risk of the banking industry regardless of country or bank specializations.Our findings and insights will be of interest for various stakeholders such as bank managers, corporations (borrowers), analysts, investors and specifically regulators who rely on empirical evidence to develop sound banking polices in sample countries and similar oil dependent economies.

The current study examined how COVID-19 phobia affects mental health, burnout, and work-related stress as well as investigated the moderating of work-related stress. The influence of burnout as a mediator in the relationship between COVID-19 phobia and mental health among healthcare workers also was examined in this study. Data was gathered for this cross-sectional study from several healthcare facilities in Punjab, Pakistan, including public hospitals and healthcare clinics. The data for this study were collected between December 2020 and November 2021 using the purposive sampling method. Online data for this study was gathered through email as well as social networking sites including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and WhatsApp. The 103 men and 197 women participated in four tests that were designed to assess the mental health state and psychological wellbeing of healthcare workers during the COVID-19 epidemic. COVID-19 phobia was found to be significantly negatively associated with mental health while significantly positively associated with burnout as well as work-related stress, whereas burnout was positively associated with work-related stress while negatively associated with mental health. Burnout was also identified as a key mediator in the relationship between COVID-19 phobia and mental health, according to the findings. Work-related stress was also found to be a significant moderator in the relationship between COVID-19 phobia and mental health, as well as COVID-19 phobia and burnout.

Light is one of the constant abiotic factors on the planet and practically all living organisms present some type of response to the light stimulus. An important aspect after light reception is the gene modulation; this mechanism involves stimulating or inhibiting the expression of certain genes that, possibly, have the purpose of adaptation to different environmental conditions. In fungi, light response has a very important effect on the genes involved in circadian regulation; in this process, the products of the frq and frh genes regulate the activity of the White-Collar Complex (WCC) in a time-dependent manner.This phenomenon is widely studied in saprophytic organisms, however; the study of the molecular components and the mechanisms involved in chronobiology and photobiology in entomopathogenic fungi is relatively new. In Metarhizium there are reports of phenotypic effects caused by the light stimulus, including growth in constant light or photoperiod; but there is no complete description of the mechanism that leads to these photo- dependent phenotypic characteristics.Based on the broad distribution of light response genes in filamentous fungi, we performed a bioinformatic analysis on the sub genomic context of said genes using the software Mauve and RStudio. We found that the light response genes appear to be constant in the genomes analyzed demonstrating a micro-syntenic conservation among the Metarhizium genus, except for the wc2 gene. To better understand the possible transcriptional regulation, we analyzed the promoters of the light response genes searching for putative cis-regulatory elements, finding conserved motifs in all the Metarhiuzm species analyzed; this approach allowed us to identify other possible genes for response to light and circadian control within the genome of this genus.Finally, we propose different light-dependent mechanisms, in addition to its putative molecular components and the genes involved in these characteristic phenotypes.

The purpose of our work is to study the consumers attitude in the fitness food market. A netnographic research was using during our study and investigation. However, firstly this thesis the previous existing literature related to our research topic in order to understand what is exactly the fitness food and to have an idea about the fitness food market in general .In the second part, during the application of the netnographic research we started by choosing instagram blogs and to make our research stronger we decided to work with more than blog, so we selected six blogs. These blogs share mainly contents about the home-made fitness food.Finally for the netnography research results, our collected data was so rich which enabled as to determine six dimensions which helped as to understand the consumers intentions and their attitudes. These dimensions are the health care, past-behaviour, personal standards- hedonism and pleasure, Self direction, Nutritional standards.

Gas analysis has been used in various fields such as industrial use, environmental measurement, forensic science. Analytical instruments, for instance, GC, HPLC have been used as precision methods. These methods are sensitive, specific, but their size and design are not suited for field operation and are costly. For these reasons, simplified gas detectors such as detector tubes and sensors have been used. In fieldwork, simple measurement methods may not be adopted due to the influence of coexisting gas. In such a case, the on-site operator needs to sample the gas and send the sample to the laboratory. In the literature, quantum mechanics is founded by a very abstract set of postulates. For several reasons I propose that this set should be replaced by straightforward postulates based on the notion of conceptual variables, a notion generalizing the statisticians' parameters: In his mind, any observer/ actor in each given situation may have several conceptual variables. Some of these are accessible, can in some future be given numerical values by measurements or experiments. The notion of a maximal accessible conceptual variable is crucial. This can be motivated by an assumption to the effect that all physical variables in the actor's context have parallels in his mind. Examples are given. Under weak technical conditions, basic postulates of quantum mechanics can be shown to be implied by a postulate assuming that the actor in his mind has two related maximally accessible variables. Some specific symmetry conditions are needed. The notion of being related has a precise definition. A parallel development can be based on conceptual variables shared by a group of communicating observers.

Women constitutes half of our population and contributes more than 60'% of world of work. Most of their work was not recognized in terms of economy but their contribution is significant in terms of reproduction and productivity. Their participation in the field of education and skilled manpower is increased in many folds. Similarly their participation in the Organized and Unorganized sector has increased leading to their significant contribution for the national development. Recognizing their role in economic development and to motivate them for their increased participation and retention in the organized sector the Maternity Benefit Scheme has been implemented. Later keeping in view of its success and relevance the programme was expanded to cover the women from all the sections of the society with different nomenclatures. In spite of this, the programme could not target all the women in to its fold.In the light of the above, the investigators made an attempts to through light on the Knowledge, Altitude and Utility of the Maternity Benefit Schemes by the women. Full accessibility for people with reduced mobility, applied to tourism, is difficult to achieve and should not be seen in an absolute way, but as a concern to make tourism services more accessible and focused on the specific and individual needs of people as tourists, and national and regional entities should adopt good practices in order to build a tourism of all, for all. In this study the Delphi method was used. The objectives were defined as to analyze the competitiveness of a destination for people with reduced mobility, to analyze if Lisbon is attractive and inclusive taking into account the infrastructures, services, hospitality, tourist attractions and accessibility, in order to answer the general objective - to verify the accessibility and attractiveness of the city of Lisbon as a tourist destination. This qualitative methodology was specified and supported with a quantitative methodology, where through a content analysis and the statistical data collected in the interviews, it was delimited, after a degree of agreement among the specialists, certain characteristics and fundamental elements to take into account for the accessibility of Lisbon for people with reduced mobility that influence its competitiveness with other tourist destinations. The results obtained in the study show that the factors and resources of Lisbon are increasingly accessible to people with reduced mobility. It was concluded that entertainment, general and tourism infrastructures, accommodations, the various activities and cultural resources and the quality of services, are the ones that present the greatest accessibility for people with reduced mobility.

Cellulose is a linear, stereoregular, and semi-crystalline polysaccharide. Linear chains of cellulose connected by hydrogen bonds form the supramolecular structure of this biopolymer, consisting of elementary nanofibrils and their bundles, called microfibrils. Each nanofibril contains ordered nanocrystallites and poorly ordered nanosized non-crystalline domains. Currently, it is clear that the two main structural models, "fringed fibrils" and "fringed micelles", cannot explain many properties of cellulose and its derivatives. Therefore, a new structural model was proposed, which includes amorphous-mesomorphic non-crystalline domains and imperfect crystallites with paracrystalline layers on their surface. In this model, the crystallites and non-crystalline domains are located along the fibril and their alternation has a random character. Crystallites of various allomorphs are stable and inaccessible to most reagents, typical organic solvents, water, and diluted solutions of acids and bases. Vice versa, non-crystalline domains represent weak and accessible places of cellulose fibrils. To characterize the supramolecular structure of cellulose, it is necessary to know the sizes of crystallites, the type of crystalline allomorph, the degree of crystallinity, interplanar distances, parameters of the crystalline unit cell, and degree of lattice distortion, as well as the content, size, and packing density of paracrystalline and non-crystalline domains. Along with the supramolecular structure of cellulose, it is also important to know the structure of cellulose esters. This paper discusses novel data on structure and properties of cellulose and cellulose esters.

The contemporary refugee catastrophe of the Rohingya has exclusively concerned the world leaders and has been considered as the world's worst forced migration. The Rohingya issue had caused strain relationships between Bangladesh and Myanmar since 1970. A densely populated developing country, Bangladesh, had grieved the burden of millions forced migrated Rohingya refugees in the southeast part of the country. Rohingya refugees have, undoubtedly, no intention of going back to their home country owing to the socio-economic and political mistreatment at their homeland, Myanmar. Due to the current influx, Rohingya has instigated economic loads, social troubles, and safekeeping emergencies at the tourist district of Bangladesh. It has uncovered that Rohingya refugees have been making difficulties approximating illegitimate weapons, drug trading, and human trafficking in Bandarban and Cox's Bazar. However, the forced migration of Rohingya refugees has multifaceted and controversial grounds as there are multi-angle cliques. The issue might establish an inconsistent environment because of the tactical geopolitical attention of regional power bloc and the stringency diplomacy of Myanmar. This book has engaged seven chapters where the factors of the Rohingya crisis in Myanmar and the aftermath of the recent influx have been discussed from the perspectives of South Asia.

Two pedons on three different topographical positions (summit, shoulder and foot slope) on a toposequence were studied at Dundaye District, Sokoto State. The Summit was on relatively flatland with an elevation of 283m above sea level. It is located on latitude 130 071 N and long. 050131E. Shoulder was a gently slopy land with an elevation of 271m above sea level. It is situated on latitude 130 071 N and long. 050 141E, while foot slope was on a low land with an elevation of 262m above sea level. It is located on latitude 130141N and long. 050131E. Morphological properties of the soils revealed that soils of the upper slope were shallow and perfectly drained and were generally sandy in texture. Those on shoulder were deep and well drained while those at the foot slope have subangular blocky structure with evidence of biological activities at the surface. Physical properties of the soils indicate a relatively high bulk density and high porosity. The dominant exchangeable bases were Ca and Na. The soils were slightly acid in reaction with pH range of 5.3 to 5.4,5.2 to 5.4, 6.5 to 6.7. Organic matter content of the soils was generally low range from 0.33 to 0.37,0.08 to 0.16 and 0.88 to 0.93. The soils were rated low in nitrogen. The results of available phosphorus show an irregular distribution in the profiles. The soils were rated having very low available phosphorus. The soils were low in cation exchange capacity with high base saturation status. The soils were classified using the USDA soil Taxonomy system in which soils of the summit were classified as Typic Haplustepts, those of the shoulder as Vermic Ustorthents and those of the foot slope as Typic Endoaquents.

The legitimate right to higher education in the mother tongue is guaranteed by international acts, however the journey to the practical realization of this right within the public system in the Republic of Moldova was difficult and in this direction concrete activities that have been undertaken will be added to the work. starting from the civic initiative to the officialization of higher education in the mother tongue. Initially, importance is given to a history of the development of higher education in general in the Republic of Moldova, but the position of Albanians in this system is also examined. What was the commitment of the Albanian cadre in higher educational institutions, the time when the representation of Albanian students began to flourish. But, unfortunately, this flourishing lasted very little, since after the demonstrations of 1981 in Pristina and beyond, the exclusion of teachers began to slowly emerge, which later resulted in the closure of all courses where teaching was conducted in the Albanian language. Further in this topic, we elaborate on what has to do with the beginning of the opening of higher educational institutions such as UT and then UEJL, where Albanians for the first time in the country where they live, that is, in North Macedonia, were given the right to education in the Albanian language, the legalization process and then the challenges he faces today.

Research on mentoring in India is still in its nascent stage. Not many studies are conducted on the efficacy or need for this system in the Indian context. Organizations which are using one form or other of mentoring find it increasingly difficult to get the process to move beyond weekly or monthly one-on-one meeting between the protégé and their respective mentor. Based on the history of mentoring relationships and its associated benefits, the primary objective of this paper was to study the impact of mentoring on job satisfaction of bank employees in India. The impact of mentoring was studied after accounting for the demographic variables and job burnout. Banks are the backbone of our country and they need to be operating at an optimum level. Despite the increase in mentorship research and practice worldwide, in the Indian context, little data is available to understand and analyse the direct impact of mentoring on Job satisfaction of bank employees. The present study attempts to bridge this research gap and examines the impact of mentoring on job satisfaction of bank employees after accounting for the demographic variables (age, gender and sector of bank) and job Burnout components. The primary data for this research study was collected from the three hundred and ninety-three Indian bank employees across different sectors using questionnaires and informal discussions. The sample respondents for the study were identified using convenience sampling followed by snowball sampling technique.

In cardiac monitoring, the Holter monitor plays a major role in the monitoring of critical heart defects over a long period of time. Once the recording is taken it needs to be analyzed to find the abnormalities in the waveform for the search for arrhythmias and aberrations in the heart. The time that is taken to analyze the waveforms by the medical professional demands to be larger and is not an efficient method that consents to be a drawback during critical hours. By using Biosignal Processing in Matlab Applications the efficiency of detection of Arrhythmias is increased and monitored. The process that follows in this method includes Parameter Extraction, Baseline Correction, Denoising, and Arrhythmia Detection. Future works of irregular waveform detection can also be used in other biosignal applications such as EEG, EOG, ERG, and EMG monitoring to increase the efficiency of analyzing aberrations in irregular waveforms.

Alvin Toffler (1928-2016) advanced the idea of unlearning in 1970. He noted the illiterates of the 21st century will not be those who cannot read and write but those who cannot "learn, unlearn, and relearn". The implication of unlearning is that you make an effort to forget your usual way of doing something so that you can learn a new and sometimes better way of doing things. For instance, globalization has become the critical means for gaining competitive advantage, and as such, e-learning has become a crucial element of knowledge acquisition, application, and creation. UNESCO supports national institutional policies on curriculum and curriculum delivery reforms to incorporate information communication technology. Kenya, being a member of the UN, had to domesticate international protocols on education. Therefore, Universities in Kenya are expected to have clear policies on e-learning. With the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, all learning institutions in Kenya closed down. Teaching Universities had to adopt e-learning. Therefore, the current study sought to investigate the unlearning aspect of the use of online teaching and learning.
