I may safely promise you never to dance with such a vampire. Though not one-and-twenty, Elizabeth Bennet has shifted not once during a full moon, and even her youngest sister Lydia, a stout, well-grown lycan of fifteen, has already done so dozens of times. In the prosperous supernatural community in and around Harrowshire, the Bennets hope to find mates for their five daughters to temper their full-moon madness and effect Lizzy's shift. Mrs. Bennet will take anyone with an Arcane Acclivity of no less than four. Mr. Bennet is delighted as long as they are lycanthropes. Too bad the new occupants at Nethermoor are vampires, potent preternaturals though they may be. Bitten by the Vampire is a standalone Regency supernatural romance inspired by Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. If you like a feisty heroine, a bunch of beastly supernaturals, and a magical tale with fantastical elements, then you'll love this book by Emerson Rosewood. Note about this novel's content. This Pride and Prejudice reimagining is for those who love Jane Austen's original dialogue and narration, but with a twist. Not only does this novel contain the promised supernatural elements and additional plot, but the story is now mainly from Lizzy's first-person point of view, with a few tantalizing scenes from Darcy's. Longwinded passages have been divided and shortened, and emotion has been added. This makes the captivating story easier to follow and enjoy for Austen's fans of the original and makes the beloved classic more approachable to new readers. Over a quarter of the original story has been cut, but of this reimagined tale, over half of the content is new, including twenty additional chapters. This is most definitely not a copy and paste. The remaining original narrative has been reworked and improved upon, incorporating lycanthropes, vampires, and other supernatural elements, but will be left for you, dear reader, to decide in the end if you agree. The hope is that you will be able to declare the story above being just tolerable, maybe even that you ardently admire and love it. Grab your copy of Bitten by the Vampire today!
