I take on a journey of different feelings about what happens to an average person in their life. My thoughts are written in poems I wrote. Being able to write my feelings in print and put them into a book is something special to me. As an author/poet, I find this book will entertain people from a teenager to an adult, senior citizens, and even a person from other countries around the world. When I started writing poems, I did not know I had the talent for it. This book contains unpublished poems from my personal collection. Each poem is developed and then created in my own style. Some of them will bring out your emotions as the reader reads them. My book could bring memories you lived throughout your life.

In March 2020, I scored a new job, turned forty, and the world shut down. I was out of work for about six weeks. About a month or so after returning to work, I learned that I was twelve weeks pregnant! While yes, the pregnancy was blissful, my job made existing while pregnant pretty damn difficult. In the midst of fighting for respect and a better position in the company, I started writing poems while commuting to and from work on the train. Later on, I started writing little musings to go along with the poems. These writings (and soon art pieces) continued after I resigned from that company to work for another who turned out to not be that much better about me being a new mother to a tiny baby. The little one was born by the completion of these pieces, but the anger that accompanied the treatment I received remained. The result is this collection.

My creation is about people's emotions during a relationship and possible outcomes. Despite our various backgrounds, we have an intriguing commonality--romantic relationships. Sharing smiles and cries with a partner on an intimate level is a familiar societal structure. This bond can be initiated with a stare, a laugh, or a simple conversation. Then it can evolve in the workplace, gym, nightclub, worshipping center, etc.Nobody truly wants to be alone. Human beings will tolerate disrespectful behavior from their supposed soulmate because of that desperation. However, companionship is a risk for everyone, but the reward can be joyous and priceless. Real-life relationships are not like the scripted television shows or movies. It can destroy and inspire at the same time.Although we will always have a beginning and an end, the journey can make or break you. Good luck!

There was no way I was supposed to come back from that dark place. Everyone I knew gave up on me. I was an embarrassment. Truth be told, I was embarrassed too. I was ashamed too. I hated me too. I too also knew that I had issues. The difference is, at some point I begun to ponder and question everything I had ever been told. In my mind, my heart and deep down in my soul I begged to differ. This groaning in my spirit only grew louder, as I dug, clawed and crawled, kicked and screamed, fought my way out of this god forsaken place. Now they can only stare in disbelief. I'd even go so far as saying, some of them are in awe. I'm convinced that we all have something inside of us that can fight it's way out of nearly anything or any situation. It simply has to be awakened, though it won't be a simple task. So long as we have breath in our lungs, there is always a chance for us to see the tides turn.

These essays reflect much of the essence of my life and thinking about what it means to exist on this planet. I hope they resonate with readers, as I put absolutely everything I had into them. That said, I still love chatting with people on the street, and fishing remains a passion after sixty years.

Today's religions find themselves in conflict with modern science. If the laws of physics always hold as science claims, how could the miracles have occurred that are reported in sacred texts? How could God intervene in the world today to answer someone's prayer? This book looks for evidence that there is a spiritual reality in addition to a material reality and finds ample evidence that both realities are part of the universe in which we live. It is the rapid development of science over the past three hundred years, and the much slower evolution of religious thought that is the source of today's conflicts. A satisfactory understanding of our universe requires a partnership between science and religion in which these major areas of thought and knowledge each learn from the other. This understanding must begin with mutual agreement as to what the major components of the universe are. The existence of material reality is not disputed. This book provides a survey of what else exists. For each nonmaterial entity considered, the evidence is examined for consistency with the findings of science. Many inanimate entities are investigated, including mathematical objects, laws of nature, love, and justice. Animate nonmaterial entities investigated include a supreme spiritual being and human souls. A supreme spiritual being need not be a personal god, and reaching that conclusion requires careful analysis of additional data from a variety of sources. Special attention is given to the relationship between Jesus and this personal God. Following the survey of nonmaterial reality, this book investigates some of the additional implications of science for religious belief and for religious practice. Topics covered here include implications of science as they relate to the effectiveness of prayer, revelation, religious ritual, the focus of religious life, and the afterlife.

On the coldest night in Florida, in January 2022, this book came alive as I was camping in a covered wagon with a close friend. It is intended to be a unique and creative way to understand how essential it is to find your passion and purpose, no matter how damaged one might feel, to live a life substance free. This is a true account of what it's like to be on the journey of recovery with a myriad of people. It is an outside-the-box perspective narrated by the couch that has been an integral part of each person's journey. A hopeful, emotionally captivating book to educate those on the disease of addiction that may otherwise not understand the dynamics of their loved ones struggling to live a clean and sober life.
