My name is Oluwabunmi Funmilayo Akano. I was born on November 1975 to the family of the late pastor Johnson and mrs. Shijuade Famuyide. I am happily married to a loving husband, pastor Kayode Akano and blessed with three lovely children.I graduated with bachelor''s degree in Biochemistry, a writer, caregiver, and a counsellor. My audience are majorly youths and adults. I have written quite a few books, but this is my first book to be published.At a point in my relationship, while courting I almost quit because I was confused. A lot was happening to him and I within our relationship that I did not understand or know how to handle. I had a lot of questions in my heart that needed answers to what was going on in my relationship but thank God, at the point of quitting my solutions came.It is a great relief to me, that the information complied together in this book has helped me with maintaining my relationship and nourishing my marriage. This is about a fictional character''s struggle to extricate himself from the negative effects of easy credit/debit. It had a harsh psychosocial impact on his life. His journey was a rapid descent straight down into hell to the underworld of crime. He wound up with a house full of women, involved in vices, and over time became a broker of money. He managed their lives and resources and eventually got out of debt. He assent is questionable. However, he did rise above it all, with Ideas for his future, on avoiding the lour''s of easy credit.The author is a hybrid of street sense and knowledge, respectively. It was gained from the mean streets of St. Louis, other larger metro areas, and the University of Wisconsin (66,72, & 81). He was a privileged and credential licensed health care professional. He provided services in the community to a broad spectrum of people for 40 years - quietly touching the lives of many in the community. There was no quest for personnel recognition. Otherwise, he is a licensed collector, a jazz collector, pays a musical instrument (alto tax), likes old cars, and owns a 1964 Ford Thunderbird (in good condition).

Vol 1. is a collection of poems written between 1996 and 2010. I always had dreams of being a published author and one day having my words available to the world. Saying; "I''ll get to it tomorrow" or waiting for the perfect time wasn''t going to help me get to where I wanted to be. I had seen too many examples of how tomorrow wasn''t guaranteed. One day I woke up and put away the excuses, dedicated the summer to getting my book published. Life happens. Allowing fear to alter your focus and desire for something greater is a tragedy in itself. For the past 50-some years I have been threatening to write a book. I''ve written poetry, political essays, letters-to-the-editor and stories about my life. Some of these are included here. Originally I wanted the title to be "Accidental Tourist" until I found that there is a play and movie by that title. Because I''ve often found life events and direction somewhat random, it came to me as a good description. Then, because of a need for a new title, "You" emerged. As a young teen, I read the prologue poem by Auden from a Look magazine page. At first reading, it assigns life''s negative influences to another. As I "matured", I came to realize that my "Overfamiliar Dense companion" is me -- each of ours. I preserved and reflect often on that original page.

This book is dedicated to all the broken and hurting people that may feel they have no reason to hope.To the ones that feel unloved and unwanted, even by our Savior, Jesus Christ. Be encouraged! He loves and wants you so much that He died for you! The Good Lord gave us 10 commandments, with wisdom to find the 11th, and that one is gratitude the 10thcommandment 11th and gratitude is the bed sock for success. Take this example, we often sit down and pray before we eat but we do not pray to say thanks for the good meal. Success in life is based on gratitude. Other ward we must give and take. In our society, we take but never give back. Another example is our trees that their leaves in winter. They fall to the ground to turn into nutrients to keep the alive to bear fruits for us the next season. Our society is filled with people who take and never give back anything.
