It is a masterly creation in observation of the annual festivities, while retaining the author's signature of original humour throughout. This book describes a model of existence, including consciousness, based on the totality of records created by the actions, thoughts and speech of the individuals who comprise the human race.It relates the inanimate to the animate and the conscious, reality to belief and imagination and the objective to the subjective. It explains the relation between order, disorder and the random state. It accounts for the world of objects, the conscious world and the world of ideas, the nature of intelligence both human and artificial and the entire range of human philosophy, characteristics and activities, providing answers to questions that individuals continually pose. The model replaces the contradictory opinions of individuals or groups of these, however large, with a coherent description matched to the knowledge and belief of the human race as a whole.Accordingly, the existing dichotomy between reality in absolute scientific terms and imagination in absolute religious terms is replaced by a coherent and unified description of the unbounded processes necessary and sufficient to explain existence and the nature of consciousness within it.It is shown that this description is in effect the sum of the beliefs held by individuals regardless of their diversity.

Born into a world of many races, the Black Dwarf must come to terms with his own nature if he and his companions - Gavellan the wizard, Laleef the Light Elf and Twan of the Council of Grim - are to succeed in their quest for the Runestone of Mimir and defeat the Witch of Shroud, Minerva Spindleshanks. This novel was inspired by my own sons' interest in the myths of the Norsemen, and remains true to the spirit and characters of these legends. Here is portrayed an uncompromising struggle between the cold and dark of Nifleheim and the fire and flame of Muspelheim.

How the US lost its longest war in Afghanistan..... worth considering that it was America's own choiceto jump into the Afghan sand-grave. · The world media's FALSE cry: Pakistan, nominally a US partner in the war, had also been the Afghan Taliban's main patron. Now find the answer below - see the Washington Post of 27th September 2021 with a big caption:PM Imran Khan: Don't blame Pakistan........; adding that: · "America made no mention of Pakistan's sacrifices as a US ally in the War on Terror for more than two decades. Instead, we were blamed for America's loss. · Earlier, the US had once asked Pakistan to train certain Afghani groups, called Mujahedeen, jointly by the CIA and our ISI, to defeat the Soviets in Afghanistan in the 1980s. · Back then, President Ronald Reagan even entertained the mujahedeen at the White House. · Once the Soviets were defeated, the US abandoned Afghanistan leaving behind over 4 million Afghan refugees in Pakistan and a bloody civil war in Afghanistan. From this security vacuum emerged the Taliban. · Fast forward to 9/11, when the US needed us again - Gen Musharraf offered Washington logistics and air bases; also allowed a CIA footprint in Pakistan. · For the Afghan people, the United States was a 'foreign occupier' just like the Soviets, deserving of the same treatment. · Since 2001, US was repeatedly warned that the Afghan war was un-winnable. Given their history, Afghans would never accept a protracted foreign military presence. · Pakistan was now America's collaborator, but got attacked by over 450 US drone strikes on our territory, making us the only country in history to be so bombed by an ally.

Great is Your Faithfulness is the reflection of a father and grandfather looking back on his life. It is easier looking back to recognise the gracious hand of God's providence than it is to discern the right path at the time. The book seeks to motivate and encourage his grandchildren to aspire to what is best, beautiful and godly in life by providing a narrative of the family's recent history. The author takes us from his family roots in a small mining village in South Wales to retirement in Edinburgh. He traces a journey, despite initial disappointments, to achieving a successful academic career, in a life that is shaped by a Christian world view.

From the Elusive Muse's Lexicon is a second volume of poetry to accompany the earlier, "A Storm in Pandora's Tea Box". It touches upon a diverse range of subjects, from a homage to London's beloved River Thames, a trilogy of Coventry poems anticipating the City's role as UK City of Culture in 2021, tributes to departed musician friends, plus reflections upon sources of inspiration and sometimes consternation, as we navigate a course through life's amazing and often challenging journey.

Our world enables the sexual abuse of children.Children of all ages are abused in every country in the world, by members of every society, culture, religion, and socio-economic class. About 120 million children under twenty, or one child in ten, report sexual abuse. We often blame children for their own abuse instead of holding the perpetrators responsible for their crimes. When perpetrators are prosecuted, punishments are rarely severe. Remarkably, we sometimes justify child sex abuse, or even facilitate it, allowing it to continue, not only in hidden places, but even in the open. This book exposes the stunning extent of child sex abuse in today's world.
