To cease a man's independence, privacy and self-respect is a heinous crime. To commit him to slavery and use him to one's advantage with the motive of fulfilling their own desires is even more horrendous. Such heartless barbaric clans did exist in this world and were predominantly from the European countries. The beginning of the 16th century has a recorded history of human slavery which lasted through the 19th century. These European countries invaded other countries and established their colonies. They swindled the riches of these nations for their own personal gains. And they did not stop there, they subjugated the local population to enormous misery and hardship. They were ill-treated into submission by force and torture. One such classic character was Oroonoko. The colonizers extracted favours from him only to torture him and put him to death. The pathetic life of Oroonoko was seen by Aphra Behn, who recorded the happenings in the form of a novel. This poetry book rendered in the Tamil language, depicts the heartwrenching story of Oroonoko, which would stir readers and inspire them to rise up against injustice.

Even in the first half of the 20s, some epics were written, but by the time of Jaishankar Prasad's 'Kamayani', the tradition came to an end. The novel took away almost everything of the epic, but the sentiment was still left, and by incorporating this feel, the Mahapraana invented a new style of poetry which had a full esense of epic feeling but limited description. Now the variety and completeness of the sentiment were put aside, but its intensity and depth increased, which the novel could never have. In such a intense feeling, Mahapraan Niraala wrote many long poetries which are still a benchmark of literature.

Political analysis is an age-old process and practice by world thinkers and statesmen. The concept of politics specifically, the type of political system, governance, Liberty equality, and law implementation process always play a pivotal role in carving out a holistic system that unleashes the betterment of the entire human community. The needs of the human community are shaped and reshaped by the political system in the modern era. Nonetheless, political systems such as democracy aristocracy, dictatorship, and different versions of democratic governance are prevailing from the age of antiquity. Albeit of the nation-building process and concepts, scholars pointed out that there is a decline in political theory. Moreover there exist also skirmishes between value- Laden and fact- inclination. One school of thought bolsters the cause of a purely scientific approach to political science where as another school speaks about value Laden. It is in order to convert political science into pure science attempts were made and the outcomes are behaviouralism, post-behaviorism systems theory, structural-functional theory, communication theory, game theory, decision-making theory so on and so forth. In this junction, this book on modern political analysis attempts to fathom varied versions of the scientific methods in political science and the value crisis indeed. Obviously, writers believe that this work may quench the thirst of students of political science in Tamil and also aspirants of different competitive examinations which includes NET/SET/TNPSC/UPSC.ed Spreadsheet

From one of the most significant figures of the Harlem Renaissance comes a narrative defining book chronicling his life from Jamaica to New York CityClaude McKay’s long odyssey from Jamaica to Harlem, Europe, North Africa, Russia, and back to America is chronicled in this autobiography of the most militant writers to emerge from the New Negro movement following World War I. Whether in the intellectual circles of Harlem and Greenwich Village, the docks of Marseilles, or the inner circles of post-revolutionary Russia, McKay’s contact with such figures as Frank Harris, Max Eastman, George Bernard Shaw, W.E.B Dubois, James Weldon Johnson, Charles Chaplin, H.G Wells, Sinclair Lewis, Trotsky, and Radek all served to advance those views which would be so widely accepted in the 1960—Black Pride, self-determination, and the necessity for Black culture to define itself.
