Un dÃa Juanki y yo fuimos a la casa de una de mis amigas y unas chelitas después, me convenció de que postule a un Instituto de HotelerÃa con ella, era una carrera de 3 años y luego podrÃamos empezar a trabajar juntas. Parte de la curricula de la carrera eran 2 años de educación en cocina y es ahà cuando me doy cuenta de lo mucho que me gusta la cocina. Todas las semanas esperaba con ansias la clase de cocina, donde la chef preparaba distintas recetas y al dÃa siguiente cada uno debÃa de prepararla en el Instituto, era increÃble. Luego llevaba el plato que habÃa preparado en la universidad a mi casa y me encantaba ver la cara de felicidad de mis papas, hermanos y de Juanki. Durante esa época en la universidad, creo que tenÃamos 20 años, tuvimos la suerte de preparar un buffet de pastas para 60 personas, para celebrar un cumpleaños de mi suegro, asà también muchas veces nos encargamos de preparar los piqueos y cenas en la casa de mis papás. Ya con la ayuda de Juanki, nos encantaba que confiaran en nosotros y la mejor parte era ver sus caras de felicidad al probar nuestros platos.Al poco tiempo de cocinar juntos, entendimos que no hay sentimiento más lindo que preparar un plato delicioso para las personas que amas. When Doubts Arise... what does it mean to still believe? How do I remain faithful even when I doubt? What if the ascent of faith is not a journey away from doubt, but one in spite of doubt? What would it look like to lay all I have, including my doubts, at the feet of Jesus? How do I faithfully wrestle with my uncertainties while I wait for the Lord? These are the questions I seek to explore as I meditate on the Psalms of Ascent (Psalms 120 through 134). Each chapter includes my own translation of the psalm from Hebrew. I then provide a proposed literary structure--a section that can be skipped for those bored by such things. The meditation follows as I write about doubt, faith, waiting on God, his promises, trusting him, seeking him, and his presence with us while we wait.
