  • - Prophetic Medicine - Cure for All Ills
    av Shaykh Nazim Adil Al-Haqqani
    96,-

The Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, mentioned that for every sickness God made a remedy. When you go into seclusion under strong spiritual discipline, every type of illness will come before you saying, "I am this sickness and the remedy for me is this." According to the level of the one performing seclusion, prescriptions will be coming from heavenly sources for many difficult medical situations. Mawlana Shaykh Nazim al-Haqqani is carrying such knowledge of Prophetic Medicine, Tibb an-Nabawi, that he has inherited by means of his spiritual connection with the Prophet, peace be upon him, through his chain of saints from whom he took authorization (ijazah). Many have witnessed the countless patients cured through the remedies prescribed by Shaykh Nazim. These cures are derived from Prophetic Medicine that so many people use today under a variety of names: "alternative medicine", "Yunani medicine", "traditional medicine" and "natural medicine." This book is the summary of that medicinal knowledge in succinct form. It is sufficient to follow it with sincere belief to acheive the cures it contains.

"The Sunna is the first subsidiary source (masdar far`i) after the Qur'an among the sources of Islamic law. We describe it as a subsidiary source because it is the Qur'an that actually indicated that it is a source, and the basis of everything is the Qur'an. The Qur'an commanded us to follow the messenger of Allah: therefore we follow the messenger of Allah."~Shaykh Dr. Muhammad Sa`id Ibn Mulla Ramadan al-Buti "The meaning of the expression Binding Proof of the Sunnah is that the Sunna points to the judgment of Allah Most High, either as definitive knowledge (`ilm) or as as probable knowledge (zann), bringing it out and disclosing it for us. We understand the Divine rulings by means of the Sunna and it becomes binding upon us to put its content into practice, So the real meaning of the Sunna as binding proof is exposition and proof-inference necessitating obligatory practice of their results because the latter is the Divine decision."~Dr. `Abd al-Ghani ibn `Abd al-KhaliqThe book also contains the translation of Imam Ibn Hajar al-`Asqalani's explanation of the Hadith on Islam, Iman and Ihsan also known as Gibril's hadith from the Fathul-Bari.Shaykh Gibril Fouad Haddad is author of Four Imams and Their Schools, The Musnad of Ahl al-Bayt and The Muhammadan Light among other works. Among his translations to English from Arabic are: Qadi Yusuf an-Nabahani's The Prophet Muhammad's Knowledge of the Unseen, the acclaimed The Lights of Revelation and the Secrets of Interpretation: Hizb One of the Commentary on the Quran by Imam al-Baydawi, Ibn Khafif's Correct Islamic Doctrine, Ibn `Arabi's Doctrine of the Muslims, Shaykh Muhammad ibn `'Alawi al-Maliki's The Prophet's Night Journey and Heavenly Ascent and many other esteemed works.Born in Beirut in 1960, Dr. Haddad embraced Islam while a graduate student in French Literature at Columbia University in New York. "Sacred sound must not be read analytically for the sake of control or comprehension, but with the intention of entering a space of intimate sparks of Divine Reality. This prayer, the Jaljal¿tiyya, carries sounds and letters anchored in the Beautiful and Majestic Names of our Origin, sustenance, protection, guidance, and evolving journey."Imam Kamau Ayubbi"Among the countless knowledges that the Prophet ¿ deposited in the heart of Sayyidina Ali (r) are the spiritual secrets that connect heaven and earth, the breaths that undergird the sounds and voices of the Qur¿an, God's final testament and revelation to humanity. All of these can be found in the litany at hand: al-Jaljal¿tiyya. This prayer should be considered the source and origin of the countless supplications written by Muslim saints throughout history, many of whom were themselves descendants of Sayyidina Ali (r).Dr. Ali Hussain

"The best of this Umma is the age in which I was sent" (Hadith of the Prophet in Sahih Muslim). "The Messenger of Allah admonished us so intensely that the eyes wept and the hearts trembled. 'I exhort you to hear and obey even if your leader is a black Ethiopian. ... You must follow my Sunna and the Sunna of the rightly-guided, upright successors after me'" (Narrated from al-¿Irb¿d ibn S¿riya in the Musnad and Sunan). "The sequence of the Prophet's order to follow his Sunna and the Sunna of the well-guided Successors, coming after his order to hear and obey governors generally, is a proof that the Sunna of the Rightly-Guided Successors must be followed just as his own Sunna must be followed, contrary to the case of other governors" (Ibn Rajab). The best post-Prophetic 30-year generation to walk the earth constitutes, by consensus of Ahl al-Sunna wal-Jam¿'a, the most shining model of governance-and self-governance-for a just society of humble believers ever to be held up to the human ages. This glimpse in 110 chapters of their respective lives and deaths highlights the necessary qualities of true leadership which are personal sacrifice for the public welfare and dedication to the Prophetic model of trust, firm belief, constant remembrance, inspired practice and self-effaced vast mercy. Author Dr. Gibril Fouad Haddad has also writtten The Four Imams and Their Schools and The Musnad of Ahl al-Bayt among other works. He lives in Brunei Darussalam.

  • - A Guide to the Seventeen Ruinous Traits, the Ten Steps to Discipleship and the Six Realities of the Heart
    av Shaykh Muhammad Hisham Kabbani
    460,-

The Sufi master Abu 'l-Hasan al-Kharqani asserted that the human state contains seventeen chief ruinous traits, each of which resembles a great tree, with main branches, smaller branches, twigs and leaves, all laden with various kinds of negativity. At the same time, human beings were granted six tremendous powers from the Divine: the power of attraction; the power of manifesting God's blessings; the power of intercession for those who oppress themselves; the power of directing the heart of seekers; the power of guidance; and the power to move in time and space. The path from submersion in the negative traits to the unveiling of these six powers is known as the Migration to Perfected Character. Consisting of ten steps, it leads one from the ruinous aspects of the arrogant self, to achieve the state of satisfaction with the Divine decree and to achieve gnostic knowledge on the way to complete realization. Through a ten step program Shaykh Hisham Kabbani, a master of the Naqshbandi Sufi Path, describes the science of eliminating the seventeen ruinous characteristics of the tyrannical ego, to achieve purification of the soul. The sincere seeker who follows these steps, with devotion and discipline, will acheive an unveiling of the six powers which lie dormant within every human heart.

A Spiritual Commentary The subject of the present commentary is on Suratu 'l-Ikhlas or the Chapter of Single-Hearted Sincerity. The word ikhlas carries the meaning "to purify" or "to refine" from all impurities. The very concept of refining and purifying signifies the removing all impurities, leaving nothing but the very essence of that which was sought, which, in this case, is Allah. Thus, whoever knows Allah and affirms His Oneness reaches the level of purity or sincerity of heart. "Purity of heart," it has been said "is to will one thing wholly" and the one who achieves that level is described in Arabic with the adjective, "mukhlis," that is, sincere. The virtue of single-hearted devotion to Allah goes to the heart of the religion of Islam. So it is not surprising that tradition holds that reading this chapter three times equals a reading of the entire Qur'an, for the Qur'an in its essence is a totally uncompromising proclamation of Divine Unity.About the Author World-renowned author and religious scholar, Shaykh Muhammad Hisham Kabbani has devoted his life to the promotion of the Sufi teachings of love, peace, acceptance and compassion and has a long background of opposing extremism in every form.
