This book has been written with great clarity and conviction to show that the facts of science do not support the popular theory of Evolution, but rather support the account of Creation given in the Bible. The book is written in four parts: Science and the Bible, Creation or Evolution, Evidence for the Flood, and Noah's Ark: Written that You Might Believe. In these sections we are shown what it is that fossils, mutations, dinosaurs, and radioactivity dating really have to tell us, and how the great Flood and its effects explain so much of the earth's history. In addition we are frequently challenged as to our faith, and our faithfulness to the Lord and His revealed will. And God said. . . is a book which will "give a new answer" to diligent enquirers and to vociferous critics alike. The view that science and the Bible are in contradiction is one that is without sound basis.

The emphasis of this character study is not so much in re-telling David's story, although some of that has been necessary, but rather in considering the lessons we can learn from the life of David for our lives today. Therefore, this book is devotional and practical in nature, rather than being expository.

Journeying through PaulΓÇÖs letter to the Ephesians is like mountain climbing in the Himalayas. We keep moving higher, scaling peak after peak, until we gain a panoramic view of GodΓÇÖs purposes, as from the heights of heaven itself. This is the third of a series, dealing with familiar Bible topics. Craig first covered The Ten Commandments and then The Nine Beatitudes. He now covers The Eight Kingdom Parables. Eight Kingdom Parables! Are we not accustomed to speaking of ΓÇ£The Seven Parables of the KingdomΓÇ¥ in Matthew 13? Craig contends that the reference to the householder at v.52 should be included, and so he speaks of eight parables. Although basically doctrinal, the book is incisive in the challenge it presents regarding our commitment to sow seed. Are we employing every avenue open to us to communicate the Word of God? Stress is laid on the fact that it is the only method whereby souls are reached for the Kingdom. CraigΓÇÖs expositions and conclusions are well backed up with a multitude of Bible references that demonstrate his wide knowledge of the Scriptures, even those parts that we might regard as obscure. In his introduction, Craig suggests that each chapter of his book can be read in five minutes. We recommend that you devote just a little longer to it! If you are going to digest all that is there, and follow up on the Bible references, it will need some diligent thought. We do trust that the little volume will be really enlightening to those of you who are exploring these things for the first time, and an encouraging refresher course for those of you who have known them for many years.

  • - Surgical Adventures in Chitokoloki Mission Hospital
av David Galloway & Jenni Galloway
    140,-

Chitokoloki Mission Hospital is a remote but remarkable facility in the North-Western Province of Zambia. This book comes from a compilation of daily reports about life in a remote African mission hospital. It is written from a personal and clinical angle and with a surgical emphasis because that formed the bulk of the activity that has been recorded. The detailed experiences of many patients has been captured and the author conveys the almost unbelievable reality that their experience reflects. Initially the reports formed a flowing clinical news blog and they have been assembled in book form to include the Christian context as well as insights into the reality of daily life in the local villages. Again and again these stories have been the focus of discussion and enquiry and it has been good to share the experiences to the point that others who become aware are ready to pray, support, give and even visit in order to contribute in some way to the work of the mission.
