Horn antennas and waveguide tapers are important devices that used in many applications like, communication systems and laboratory purposes. Standard horn antenna is used to evaluate many types of antennas, since they are used as a reference to any type of antennas within the microwave frequency bands. While RF Waveguide taper, have a significant role in joining two waveguides that have different cross sections, where this difference may be in dimensions of cross section or in the shape of it. The tapering may be from rectangular to rectangular waveguide (i.e. each waveguide operating at a certain frequency), or transition from rectangular to circular or elliptical waveguide. This project proposes the fabrication process and tests of standard horn antenna operating at X-band frequencies as well as fabricating and testing rectangular to rectangular waveguide taper. The fabricated devices passed through multi stages of processing of its parts until assembling the final product. These stages are (milling, bending, fitting and welding). The assembled devices are subjected to many tests to evaluate their performance.

A robot manipulator is a movable chain of links interconnected by joints. One end is fixed to the ground, and a hand or end effector that can move freely in space is attached at the other end. This book begins with an introduction to the subject of robot manipulators. Next, it describes about a forward and reverse analysis for serial robot arms. Most of the text focuses on closed form solution techniques applied to a broad range of manipulator geometries, from typical industrial robot designs. A unique feature is its detailed analysis of 3R mechanisms. Case studies show how the techniques described in the book are used in real engineering applications. The book will be useful to both graduate students and engineers working in the field of robotics.

Reading is one of English language skills considered more important in this modern world, so reading gets more emphasize than other skills. Although receiving more attention than other language skills in English classroom, the result of students¿ reading comprehension achievement is still far from expectation. To help students comprehend English reading texts and have better achievement in reading skill, reciprocal teaching method can be an alternative to offer. The reciprocal teaching method as an instructional activity that takes place in the form of dialogue, which is structured by the use of four steps: predicting, clarifying, question generating, and summarizing. Students learn to use four strategies to increase their understanding of the text being read. This method is useful for improving students¿ reading effectiveness, in addition to help students better remember what they read. This paper highlights the reciprocal teaching method and its use as an alternative to improve students¿ reading comprehension achievement.

If you want to know why ..... the Nordic model has proven its superiority over Neoliberal market fundamentalism, the Eurozone is a technical and political failure, Iceland recovered faster and better from the Financial Crisis than most others, the European Left has failed to offer a viable alternative to the Neoliberal nightmare, an Alliance between the European Left and the Environmentalist movement is the rigth way forward ..... you should definitely read this book!

A language is a window to the worlds of its language community, and its morphology is basically the essential frame that marks up its contours. The varieties of a language are the best manifestations of its growth and evolution, reflecting linguistic and cultural deviations characteristic of its speakers. Ibb variety is a dialect of Arabic spoken in Ibb region in Yemen. Its features encode not only the diglossic nature of Arabic speakers throughout the Arab world, but also provide interesting insights into a path of evolution of Arabic language on basis of its morphology. Using nonconcatenative templatic morphology, this book presents detailed morphological examination of this variety in terms of the major parts of speech: verbs, nouns, pronouns, and adjectives. It is hoped that this study, along with parallel studies of other varieties of Arabic, can provide much needed descriptions of the current linguistic scene of Arabic language and can also serve as database to form projections on the evolution of Arabic in general.

The book was developed as a sober response to a certain professor¿s remark on Prime Minister Melese Zenawi during a panel discussion presented by BBC Radio 4 on 28 Nov. 2011. The professor who was introduced as Ghanaian by origin has written two books on African issues and used to work in one of the African Desks within President Obamäs administration. Initially, the manuscript was compiled as a small, angry and quick response to the professor¿s unpalatable remarks. However, taking into consideration the gravity of the matter, Alex decided to confer the matter with his good friends. Subsequently he included other non-partisan individuals such as members of the ECNF, at least the current chairperson & secretary/co-ordinator of the radio programme. This ad hoc committee agreed to take this initiative and responsibility to organise this discourse as a ¿mini project.¿ Cooling down, as the days passed by, the ad hoc committee realised that Alex¿s profound knowledge on this matter was too valuable to limit it to a small audience. Thus, they decided to turn the interview manuscript into a small book, rather than disseminate it via internet outlets.

Being part of the world leading milk producer country and also in which major population depends on milk for its protein requirement. Riverine buffalo (Bubalus bubalis) is a major milk producing species in many Asian and Mediterranean countries and its genetic improvement ranks high among agricultural research needs of these countries. Buffalo milk contains highest fat percentage compared to all milk producing animals. The motivation of the problem was looking for the genes involved in the milk fat synthesis during lactation.

The research was aimed at discovering the use of Peer-Assisted Learning Strategies (PALS) as learning strategies for improving students¿ reading comprehension ability, and the students¿ responses to the use of Peer-Assisted Learning Strategies (PALS) as learning strategies. The learning strategies in this research is Peer-Assisted Learning Strategies (PALS) and the students in this research are second grade senior high school students. The both qualitative and quantitative method was delivered in order to collect the data with test, observation, and questionnaire as the instruments of the research. It was believed by applying Peer-Assisted Learning Strategies (PALS), the teacher is able to enhance students¿ reading comprehension ability. It can be proved that there is significantly development in the result of the students from the Pre-Test to 2nd Cycle Post-Test. The result also revealed there were high percentage of students who agree that PALS as learning strategies improve their reading comprehension ability.

The increased acquisition of goods and services from external suppliers has augmented the dependence of buying firms on the capabilities and performance of their supplier base. The relationships between a buying firm and its supplier have been traditionally characterized as adversarial and emphasis has been placed on competitive bidding, short-term contracts and multiple sourcing. Such an approach focus on short-term view of relationship without considering the long-term capabilities and outcome, it is the aim of every organization to achieve sustainability and operational excellence. For this reason organization adopt various strategies which include traditional arm¿s length relationship and or strategic supplier relationship. The purpose of this study was therefore to analyze the influence of strategic supplier relationship management practices on the procurement performance of State Corporations in Nairobi County, Kenya.

In high voltage (HV) electrical power systems; varieties of materials (solid, liquid and gaseous) are used for insulation purpose to protect the early failure in High Voltage power equipment. Most of the insulating materials are not perfect in all respect and contain some impurities. The presence of air bubble is one of such impurities in insulating materials which is highly undesirable. Insulation of the HV power equipment gradually degrades due to the cumulative effect of electrical, chemical and thermal stress and aging. Due to the high voltage stress, the weak zone inside the insulator causes partial discharge (PD).This deteriorates the insulator. In this paper, an electrical circuit model of the solid insulator with void is used to study the PD activity leading to breakdown inside the insulator. Among the models (namely the capacitive model and induced charge concept model), the capacitive model is adopted in present work. The Simulink capacitive model implemented, effectively demonstrates the partial discharge process. The model is used to study and demonstrate the effect of the permittivity of cavity/impurity and breakdown inception voltage level of the impurity.
