This book summarizes the synthesis of Fe-Cu-NiMoO4 nanoflakes through the precipitation method. Fe-Cu-NiMoO4 nanoflakes displayed excellent photocatalytic performance and provided a good electron acceptor favoring the transfer of photo-generated electrons from the conduction band to the valence band. When 0.14 g/L of nanoflakes was used the degradation of MB exceeded 98% under visible light irradiation for 180 min with a dye concentration of 10 μM. The kinetics of MB photodegradation on the prepared nanoflakes follows a pseudo-first-order model. The Fe-Cu-NiMoO4 nanoflakes protocol is a simple, efficient, less toxic, low-cost, and suitable photocatalyst for the remediation of organic dyes in wastewater.

Jasmine is one of the oldest and most important ornamental flowering plant widely grown for its fragrant flowers. It belongs to family Oleaceae. In India, commercial scale cultivation of the jasmine is taken up in the states of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra. Intercropping is the cultivation of two or more crops at the same time in the same field. When two or more crops with different rooting systems, a different pattern of water and nutrient demands and a different above ground habits are planted together, water, nutrients and sunlight are used more efficiently. Therefore, the combined yields of crops grown as intercrops can be higher than the yield of the same crop grown as pure stand (sole). These advantages may be especially important because they are not achieved by means of costly inputs, but by the simple expedient of growing crop together. It provides insurance against total crop failure.

With the concept of computational thinking as a core element, the proposed paper critically inventories the main directions in the literature, focusing on the shift from psychology - pedagogy to mathematics - computer science.Redefined in 2006, the concept is now at the peak of research and applications for pre-school and school children. It is no coincidence that two years ago computational thinking was introduced as an operational element in the Shanghai Compulsory Curriculum; there it was based on the premise that societies are targeting a fulminating economic development through paradigm shifts in teaching and learning on the integration of new computational thinking skills alongside the basic skills - reading, writing and counting. Indeed, "computational thinking is a fundamental skill for everyone, not just computer scientists. To reading, writing and mathematical skills, we should add computational thinking to every child's analytical ability" (Wing, 2006).

In many countries, without exception to India, towns and cities are being developed nearby hilly regions also. Due to scarcity of plain terrains, construction of multi- storied buildings are extended to hilly regions causing vertical irregularities in such buildings. During an earthquake, the dynamic behavior of the structures on hilly slopes will be different in terms of natural time periods and displacements compared to those constructed on plain regions. Examples of severe damages or collapse of buildings, witnessed during 2001 Bhuji,2011 Sikkim and 2015 Nepal earthquakes, made researchers to study the response of structures standing on hilly regions. In the present study, a multi-storied building(G+5), resting on different slopes like 150, 300, 450 in hilly regions with stepped back configuration, is chosen for study. The response parameters like natural frequencies, time periods, base shears and displacements are worked out and the results are compared with those when similar building rests on plain region. The results obtained using "STAAD Pro" software are compared with those of results obtained from manual calculations and the variation.

Water using for mixing and curing of concrete or mortar should be free from deleterious chemical substances, which are likely to exert appreciable influence on hardening and strength development of cement mortar or concrete. In practice, very often, a greater control on the properties of cement and aggregate is exercised, but the control on the quality of water is often neglected. A popular yardstick to the suitability of water for cement mortar or concrete is that, if the water is fit for drinking, it is fit for making cement mortar or concrete also. However, this doesn't appear to be true for all conditions. Water containing a small amount of sugar may be suitable for drinking but not for cement mortar or concrete and conversely, water suitable for making concrete or mortar may not necessarily be fit for drinking especially if the constituents of water present at more than the maximum permissible limit. The concrete mixing water is generally required to comply with British Standards (BS: 3148 - 1980), standards of the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM Standard C 94 - 78a), or with the Indian Standards (IS 456 - 2000).

Flood frequency analysis involves the fitting of a probability model to the sample of annual peak flood recorded over a period of 30 years observation, for a catchment of a Prakasam Barrage. The probability plot and flood frequency curves by Gumbel distribution of Prakasam Barrage reservoir are prepared using three different plotting position formulas which are Weibull, Gringorten and L-moments. And reservoir capacity is determined by using the Mass Inflow curve and demand curve. The model parameters established are then used to predict the extreme events of large recurrence interval. Reliable flood frequency estimates are vital for flood plain management; to protect the public, minimize flood related costs to Government and private enterprises, for designing and locating hydraulic structures and assessing hazards related to the development of flood plains. Here by the study, the discharge of Prakasam Barrage during floods is more than the Prakasam Barrage original discharge. So to store the flood, a hydraulic structure is to construct to utilize the water during peak time which may be supplied to the irrigation fields or used to generate the hydraulic power by constructing.
