Finely crafted by a current academic researcher and espionage enthusiast, A New Vision of Spycraft provides insight into the techniques, methodologies, and attitudes characteristic of Anglo-American intelligence agencies as well as their continuing aim to be largely free of parliamentary oversight. As a rising academician who has studied spycraft and espionage in several universities and think tanks, Daniele-Hadi Irandoost brings the full power of historical art and science to bear on this mercurial, frequently invisible, and generally misunderstood subject. Certainly, distinctions between desk-bound intelligence analysts and far more romantic field agents are explored, although only as a means to unearth a number of unsettling facts about this particular side of national life. As such, this eye-opening book is a must-read for anyone interested in the gritty realities behind intelligence agencies worldwide.

A History of Esotericism - From the Paleolithic to the Axial Age introduces the history of esotericism, the theoretical study and attainment of mystical, occult, "inner" reality. It begins with an introduction to esotericism and gnosis as a fourth way of knowing alongside reason, spirituality, and science. Rather than situating esotericism and gnosis in a timeless, ahistorical world, it is embedded in history as a human phenomenon that contains a transcendent element within society in keeping with historical circumstances. The story of gnosis is, therefore, also the story of the awakening of consciousness, and hence this review begins at the very beginning, in deep time with the origin of consciousness. From there, it progresses to early humans. The development of spiritual and transpersonal consciousness and the understanding of inner reality is followed through ancient and modern shamanism, the Neolithic revolution, megalith builders, the Great Mother archetype, Proto-Indo-Europeans, Mesopotamian Gods and epics, and Egypt with its God-Kings and profound knowledge of the afterlife. The book then examines the great Axial Age revolution: The Persian development of morality-based spirituality and 'good vs. evil.' The Indian metaphysical revolution with themes such as reincarnation, karma, and spiritual enlightenment. The Chinese philosophy of the I Ching, Taoism, and the polarity of yin and yang. The Abrahamic discovery of monotheism. The culture, philosophy, cosmology, psychology, and proto-science of Bronze Age, Ancient, and Classical Greece. Additionally, A History of Esotericism discusses topics such as the relationship between faith, reason, and gnosis, the evolution of consciousness, the spirit world, the association between myth and archetype, the afterlife and the nature of Gods, Earth energies, the imaginal world, the Jungian unconscious, symbolism, and egregores. The associations between magical, mythical, and metaphysical thinking, the nature of the soul, and consciousness, are also considered. A comprehensive glossary is included.

Lennart Svensson is back with the ground-breaking and innovative publication entitled Astral War. This war does not entail physical combat; it is an immaterial war for the soul, wherein the soul is the battlefield.Svensson delves deep into the mysterious world of esoteric traditions, drawing on the wisdom of mystical spirituality, revealing the secrets for navigating this cosmic realm and proclaiming victory.Astral War explores the concept of spiritual energy, a potent life force known to mystics and occultists for centuries. Svensson examines the history and mythology surrounding this mysterious form of energy in both science and spiritual traditions, showing how these seemingly disparate fields are intimately connected by concepts such as zero-point energy.Astral War follows directly from Lennart Svensson's philosophy in Actionism. The book also explores topics such as Nietzsche's Ubermensch, turning one's life into a work of art, and how these relate to the concept of spiritual warfare.

In the words of eminent Philosopher Cornel West, Tomaini's Encyclopedia of American Idealism: Toward a Novel Method and System of Philosophy attempts to "encompass the insights of intellectual giants," both contemporary and past. Tomaini's Encyclopedia, which is named in the Hegelian sense of that word, primarily calculates the scholarly question: how might G.W.F. Hegel's system and method be overcome? Flipping the Western canon on its head in order to counter the behemoth scope and density of the Hegelian system, the Encyclopedia revises innumerable fundamental tenets of philosophy, producing at its onset a new method of philosophy - Reconstruction, contra Derrida's Deconstruction -, and instituting by its conclusion a new philosophical system assembled atop Kant and Hegel's school of German Idealism. Beginning with dialectics, Tomaini outlines an approach to rival Hegel's and develops this system further. The Encyclopedia of American Idealism also incorporates epistemology, metaphysics, cognitive science, phenomenology, psychoanalysis, metalinguistics, aesthetics, ethics, and politics. Finally, it culminates in a theoretical model for International Relations rooted in Immanuel Kant's concept of Perpetual Peace.

  • - The Devi Mahatmya
    av Raghupati Bhatt
    196,-

The Devi Mahatmya is one of the most important texts in Hinduism and forms part of the Markandeya Purana. It is also one of the oldest texts in the world dealing with a Goddess-based Spiritual Tradition. The Devi Mahatmya tells us the story of a disillusioned king, a merchant in despair, and a sage whose wisdom guides them to knowledge and salvation. The sage does this by revealing to them the three glorious victories achieved by the Goddess over the asura forces. Raghupati Bhatt's latest book tells us How the Great Mother Goddess Emerged and how She keeps on emerging to save us. He also includes an introduction, subsidiary texts, and notes to assist the reader.

"The Kantian worldview, which always underlay all religion, philosophy, and art, could not have been the eternal truth if it did not emerge more or less clearly everywhere that the human mind penetrated into the depths, as this occurred, for example, in India through the Upanishads of the Vedas and the Vedanta based on them and in Greece through Parmenides and Plato. To consider both these phenomena in the light of the Kantian philosophy is the task that we have set ourselves here." - Paul Deussen Vedanta, Plato, and Kant is a new translation. The book presents a defense of Shankara's Advaita Vedānta philosophy as well as an elucidation of the Greek Idealistic doctrines of Parmenides and Plato. In all these schools of thought, Deussen detects a similar basic understanding of the world as a mere appearance distinct from Ideal Reality. He approximated this understanding to the Kantian notion of 'things in themselves' (Dinge-an-sich) and noted a degeneration of the original Vedic and Upanishadic worldview in the philosophies that followed, such as the Sāmkhya and Buddhism, just as there was a corruption of Parmenides' doctrine of Being in the philosophy of his pupil Zeno. Similarly, he believes that Kant's revolutionary Idealistic insights in Germany were also distorted by the post-Kantian thinkers and not generally understood in their original form except by Arthur Schopenhauer (1788-1860), who developed the doctrine of the world as a mere representation produced by the innate intuitive forms within the Intellect - Space, Time, and Causality.Includes a preface by Alexander Jacob (Translator)

  • - The Antichrist & the Antipolitical
    av Gwendolyn Taunton
    286,-

Friedrich Nietzsche has had an enormous influence on the arts, politics, and even the occult realm. Moreover, this influence has not waned in the contemporary era. Despite this, Nietzsche remains widely misunderstood, primarily when he discusses religion and politics. Nietzsche: The Antichrist & the Antipolitical highlights the finer points of Nietzsche''s opinions on religion, culture, and politics from an unbiased and neutral perspective. The first section of the book explores the specific significance of Dionysus in both Greek mythology and the works of earlier German authors. For Nietzsche, Dionysus is not just a pagan god, but a symbol of the Will, a primordial power that is eternally reborn, which Nietzsche identifies with the Antichrist. Nietzsche: The Antichrist & the Antipolitical then explains how Nietzsche''s portrayal of Dionysus is integral to understanding his opinions on religion and how it has altered Western culture. The second half of the book concentrates on how Nietzsche''s views on religion and mythology extend into political issues, and ultimately, his antipolitical philosophy. Walter Kaufmann once described Nietzsche as an "antipolitical individual who seeks self-perfection far from the modern world." However, Nietzsche''s antipolitical individualism entails much more than merely abstaining from politics and being an individualist. Nietzsche''s antipolitical stance is part of his broader cultural agenda, which Georg Brandes referred to as aristocratic radicalism.

    av David William Parry

"Athos as a fortress against the trivial and a portal to the transcendent is a theme that has found its way into British arts and letters. Enter our guide to these worlds, our author, David Parry. David is a man of extraordinary erudition and artistic sensitivity. In this book, he offers to serve not so much as a guide but as a companion through the deep, dizzying, mystifying, heavenly-earthly reality that is Mount Athos, as it is found on a Greek Island and as it is found in the British artistic tradition." - Fr. Robert McTeigue"Almost a decade in the making, the radical research, meditations and experiences of Rev. David William Parry have culminated in a work that interweaves Mount Athos, the Arts, Religion, Philosophy, Theatre, Literature and Poetry in a delightfully fresh style of penmanship. Indeed, Rev. Parry's style is skillfully and sympathetically beautiful, whilst maintaining a firm grasp of expertise and knowledge through the eyes of some of the major figures from the Presocratics to the present-day." - Daniele-Hadi Irandoost, University College London (UCL)"Mount Athos is sacred like the Mount Sinai, Mount Hara and the Cave of Hera. Meditation in the isolation of the mountain releases the soul from the mundane and cultivates chastity and humbleness. Parry also relates some interesting parallels of habit and mores between the wise, old English-folk and these monks." - Dr. Zulfiqar Ali Choudhry Dr. Lit.Mount Athos Inside Me has been meticulously crafted by David William Parry, who writes with the skill of a master author, dealing in both facts and exquisitely structured language. He takes the reader on a journey to the Holy Mountain of Athos, a sacred bastion of the Christian Orthodox world, and beyond. Parry explains the symbolism of mountains in the wider context of perennial philosophy, exploring them as a symbol of the spiritual ascent to the divine. He informs the reader that:"…the lore, geography, and history of Mount Athos presents sympathetic commentators with a linguistic archaeology of pivotal events and previous peoples. In this regard, the enigma of Athos must surely remind Britons of the Matter of Britain. On one hand, it is myth. Substantially, on the other hand, it is history."Parry not only reveals a deep knowledge of Orthodoxy, he also enlightens us on a broad range of topics, including Swedenborg, Quakers, European Pagans, literature, history, and the arts.Mount Athos Inside Me is destined to be a literary classic for those interested in Orthodox Christianity and to anyone interested in perennial philosophy, literature, or the arts. The book is a treasure trove of knowledge on folklore and beliefs, spanning many countries and centuries. The sheer and staggering array of information makes this book of value to any reader.Mount Athos Inside Me also contains a preface by Dr. Bernard Hoose, Emeritus Lecturer in Moral Theology (Heythrop College).

The essays presented in this collection are based on Alexander Jacob's earlier works, ¿tman: A Reconstruction of the Solar Cosmology of the Indo-Europeans, Hildesheim: Georg Olms, 2005 and Brahman: A Study of the Solar Rituals of the Indo-Europeans, Hildesheim: Georg Olms, 2012. They expand on the cosmological and religious themes discussed in these books with special reference to the origins and development of the Indic and European spiritual traditions. Those familiar with the earlier works will not be surprised that Dr. Jacob's view of the term 'Indo-European' is rather more comprehensive than the more restricted term '¿ryan' that has hitherto been widely used as a synonym of it. And those interested in the ¿ryan ethos itself - chiefly on account of the German use of the term during the last war - may be surprised to learn that it does not consist in nationalistic virtues so much as in spiritual discipline and development - and that this development is characteristic of the religions of very extended and diversified branches of the Indo-European family. • - Myth, Magic, and Metamorphosis in the Western Inner Traditions
    av David Pantano
    330,-

The Magic Door is a study on myth, magic, and metamorphosis in the Italic (Italian) branch of the Western Inner Traditions. The Magic Door surveys a wide spectrum of esoteric traditions and explores the heroes, schools, and teachings that have provided the foundations for initiation in Italy, from Roman times to the present, in the broader context of an Occidental Tradition. The overarching themes that constitute this tradition include a perennial Western Empire (Hesperia), Atavistic Resurgences, Heroic Spirit, and internal practices specific to the Ars Italica: Magia, Amatoria, Memoria, Imaginatio, and Insomnium. Initiation in this context, from the Latin initiatus, refers to the individual inner journey to identify and integrate with the Principle (Self, Soul, Numen) and the corresponding Tradition (Olympia, Heroi, Aeneades). In this sense, initiation - like Aeneas' quest to reveal his future by finding the roots (principle) - refers to a process of self-discovery, identity, and tradition.Summary: Aeneas (archetypal hero of initiation) Heroic Initiation through the River Mnemosyne Spiritual Kingship Hesperia Myths and Symbols of Ancient Rome Vestal Virgins & the She-Wolf Golden Bough and the Italic Tree of Life Return of the Nostoi (Olympians) Pythagorean Brotherhoods and the Underground Basilica of Porta Maggiore Cicero and the Art of Dreaming Magical Realism of Virgil Ovid's Ars Amatoria Apuleius and the Art of Metamorphoses Symmachus, Last of the Olympians Macrobius' Commentary on the Dream of Scipio Dante and the Fedeli d'Amore Revival of the Platonic Academy in Renaissance Florence Marsilio Ficino on Divine Love Pico della Mirandola on the Christian Cabbala Julius Pomponius Laetus and the Roman Academy Francesco Colonna and the Strife of Love in a Dream Hermes Redividus in Ludovico Lazzarelli and Giovanni Mercurio Correggio Renaissance Origins of the Tarot Giordano Bruno on the Art of Magic Tommasso Campanella on the Practice of Philosophical Ecstasy Cesare Della Riviera on the Magical World of Heroes The Magic Door of Rome Chiron the Centaur Cagliostro and the Arcana Arcanorum Giambattista Vico and the Restoration of Ancient Italic Wisdom Domenico Bocchini, Giustiniano Lebano, and the Neapolitan Mysterio Sophic School Giuliano Kremmerz and the Fraternity of Myriam Julius Evola and the UR Group Ekatlos and the Great ORMA Viennese Circle of Kronos Marco Daffi and the Rite of Andromeda Giammaria and the Body of Peers Commentary on the Golden Verses of Pythagoras Recapitulation of Orphic and Bacchic Initiation

  • - The 'Sadist' Who Nearly Saved the British Empire
    av Edward Dutton
    356,-

Winston Churchill is Britain's national hero. His prep school headmaster was a sadist who almost ruined Churchill's life. This first ever biography of Churchill's headmaster pulls these myths apart. Churchill emerges as an intelligent and inspiring Narcissist who took Britain into a needless war, bankrupted it, lost its Empire and set off a process culminating in traditional British freedoms being lost and the country being Balkanized.Churchill's headmaster fought for the traditional Britain which Churchill's war was central to destroying. And as this book painstakingly documents, almost everything we think we know about Churchill's prep school headmaster is wrong. Herbert Sneyd-Kynnersley was less sadistic and severe than many headmasters. His arrested development made him no different from a large minority of such men. His beatings did not exceed anything at Eton or at reform schools. Churchill was not taken out of his school because of these beatings. The sources providing the worst accounts of the headmaster are the least reliable. The collapse of the school was not due to rumours of Sneyd-Kynnersley's brutality. Sneyd-Kynnersley was highly educated, contagiously enthusiastic, and intent on preserving a traditionalist Britain and making Churchill into a responsible leader of the Empire built on these traditions. If Churchill hadn't been withdrawn from his school, then Britain would never have gone to war, may never have lost the Empire, and may never have descended into the nihilism and Balkanization we see today. This 'sadistic' headmaster came very close to saving the British Empire and Britain itself.

  • - Why the Collapse of Civilization is Nigh
    av Thorfinn Skullsplitter
    330,-

Zombies are big business, worth around US $5 billion to the US economy and rising. Products range from video games and top rating television shows through to special ammunition and weapons to dispatch zombies. However, social critics have agreed that zombies and the zombie apocalypse are symbols for the existential fragility of contemporary civilization. Bestselling zombie genre author Max Brooks has said on his website that zombies represent social anxieties about our "crazy scary times," and that through the medium of the zombie people are able to confront "societal breakdown, famine, disease, chaos in the streets" and still sleep. This work is a contribution to collective insomnia. It is argued that the zombie apocalypse is an apt metaphor for the real, coming collapse of techno-industrial civilization - our world. There is a considerable body of scientific literature indicating that our world is not sustainable, as reflected in the existence of an environmental crisis embracing problems such as resource depletion, global climate change, water shortages and degradation, peak oil and "peak everything." The collapse of civilization-thought to be as close as 2030-will lead to the great die off of the bulk of the human race. The runaway meltdown of the Earth's nuclear reactors may seal the fate of life on the planet. This book presents the case that the zombie apocalypse is already underway and is unstoppable. Although the human race in general may be ultimately doomed, individuals and tribal groups may still strive to survive to the bitter, radioactive end.

  • - The Criticism of the Idea of Historical Progress
    av Daniel Branco
    290,-

Emil Cioran is known for both the complexity of his views on philosophy and his exquisite literary style. Perched on the boundary of literature and philosophy, Cioran deftly commands both subjects - at times with a spartan, haunting beauty - and on other occasions with stinging criticism.Daniel Branco provides a scintillating and insightful explanation of one of Cioran's most complicated themes - the connection between time, utopia, and historical progress. Branco's meticulous study of Cioran not only examines his published works, but also explores Cioran's personal life and how it influenced his writing, along with Cioran's affliction with severe insomnia, a factor which also bestowed him with lucidity. These experiences not only had a profound experience on Cioran, they also had an impact on his perception of both time and the concept of utopia. This in turn, demonstrated to Cioran that the notion of modern progress is false, and that the essential essence of humanity does not change throughout the passage of various epochs and civilizations. This, accompanied by the complexity of time and emptiness, also demonstrated to Cioran that modern philosophy itself cannot progress.Dr. Daniel Branco holds a Licentiate Degree in Philosophy from UECE, a Bachelor of Philosophy from UECE, a Bachelor of Theology from FATIN, and completed Specialization in the History of Brazil by INTA. He also holds a Master's Degree in Philosophy from UFC and a Doctorate in Philosophy from UFC. He is the author of several articles published in academic journals.

It takes a look at American history from the Civil War to the Gulf War by telling the stories of the generals commanding the wars - from Lee to Schwarzkopf.Written as popular history, each general is individually described. At the end of the book there is also a chapter examining topics such as the mirroring of American wars in literature and film.As Svensson says in the introduction: "these are war stories, told by the fireside with a glass of whisky in the hand".The study includes the following generals: Robert E. • - A New Reaction for 2018
    av Rachel Haywire
    246,-

The New Art Right: A New Reaction for 2018, takes us back to a time before the woeful dominion of contemporary politics - a time when art served as the impetus to drive political forces, not the vulgarity of the masses nor banal populism. It also points toward possible futures, such as transhumanism, and higher forms of humanity. The New Art Right is not just a second edition of The New Reaction, it is the culmination and the final refinement of Haywire's thought. The New Art Right sets itself squarely against the vulgarity of modern America, a place where both the Right and Left have devolved to into a state of perpetual squables and a race to the bottom. Haywire savages the bourgeois Left and the Right with equal disdain, often in the form of satire and sardonic wit.The New Art Right, however, does not take us into the 'safe' realms of art. Instead, it leads one on a dark journey, through the underworld towards the enlightenment of Dark Bohemia. Along the wayside, Haywire attacks both the intellectual inadequacies of the feminist Left and the patriarchal Right, leaving no 'safe spaces' left behind.Haywire does not draw her philosophy from within the isolation of the ivory towers of academia, her wisdom is one of the real world, and she takes inspiration from her vast experiences in music, art, and American counter-culture.Rachel Haywire is also the author of Acidexia.

  • - Chthonic Gods, Oneiromancy, Necromancy in Ancient Greece
    av Gwendolyn Taunton
    446,-

The Path of Shadows escorts the reader deep into the hidden subterranean world of the chthonic traditions of ancient Greece. The word chthonic refers to the interior of the earth, from where life is born and to which it returns in death. The chthonic traditions represent the paradoxical complexity inherent in life itself, which venerate the earth, the afterlife, final judgment, and the occult. The Gods connected to these primordial forces exist in all traditions - sometimes they are represented as benevolent figures, and at other times malevolent ones. The Path of Shadows concentrates on the Hellenic Gods, but also explores their relationships to other religions and cultural influences. Hades is presented as the brother of Zeus, and an Indo-European God who is identical to Yama. He is portrayed as both the King and Judge of the Dead. Although not antagonistic to mortals, the visage Hades presents to humanity is nonetheless terrifying, because he instills in mortals the ultimate fear of the unknown and the existential dread of a dark, fathomless, void without end. Dionysus is revealed not only as the son of Hades, but also as the 'Black Sun' and counterpart to Apollo in both the philosophy of Nietzsche and Greek Myth. Persephone is described as the Queen of the Underworld, and the mother of Dionysus. Persephone reigns as a queen beside her husband Hades, and occupies a prominent role in the Rites of Eleusis, along with her mother Demeter. Together, as a trinity, these deities rule over The Path of Shadows. The Path of Shadows also looks at the forms of the occult which are exclusively chthonic practices. This is introduced first by a brief explanation of the Mantic Tradition, which specializes in all forms of divination, and how it occupied a position of prominence throughout the religions of antiquity. The Path of Shadows then looks at some of the specialized aspects of Hellenic magic, concentrating on oneiromancy (predicting the future through dreams), necromancy (summoning the souls of dead), and curse tablets (utilized for occult purposes), narrating how these practices relate to the chthonic traditions and the hidden aspects of human consciousness.

  • - Unitarian Europe - From Brest To Bucharest
    av Jean-Francois Thiriart
    186,-

Jean-François Thiriart (1922-92) was, without doubt, one of the most significant pioneers of the project of a united Europe that has been espoused by several contemporary European geopolitical thinkers such as, for example, Alain de Benoist, Robert Steuckers, Claudio Mutti and Aleksandr Dugin. Rather like the American political thinker, Francis Parker Yockey (1917-60) before him, Thiriart was one of the first to pivot his entire political project on the precondition of a liberation of Europe from the control of America, which he considered the principal enemy of Europe. And his two works on united, or Unitarian, Europe published in 1964 and 1965 are important manuals for all European national revolutionaries who wish to continue to fight for the independence of Europe - which remains to this day a vassal state of America.
