Title of this booklet is: PREFERED VERSUS AUTHENTIC IDENTITY.¿It is the third in the Daughters of Sarah Ministry Eight(8) volume SPIRITUAL IDENTITY THEFT series, which begins with: INTRODUCING SPIRITUAL IDENTITY THEFT(Volume 1) and concludes with: THE NEED FOR TRAINING(VOLUME 8)SPIRITUAL IDENTITY THEFT SERIESVOLUME TITLE. 1 INTRODUCING SPIRITUAL IDENTITY THEFT ¿. 2 UNDERSTANDING MY CREATIVE IDENTITY ¿. 3 PREFERED VS AUTHENTIC IDENTITY ¿. 4 APPRECIATING MY RECREATED IDENTITY ¿. 5 TARGETED THREAT ¿. 6 WINNING STRATEGIES ¿. 7 THE EMPOWERED IDENTITY ¿. 8 THE NEED FOR TRAINING ¿It is very important for every person to know, understand and operate within his/her God given identity, yet the matter of true identity is one of the most ignored and misunderstood among Christians today. So many are making choices based on their preferences or feelings instead of the truth as revealed in the Scriptures.Amid the confusion in the world today, it is clear that the Christians; especially Christian youths are targeted. Many are losing their spiritual identity in the market place and operating in the flesh just as the unbelieving youths. We must focus on knowing our identity in Christ and training others to boldly stand with the knowledge of this unshaken identity in Christ in order to resist the pressures to conform to the mould of the world. This is 'True Empowerment'! The Church should be about the business of empowering the emerging leaders for the glory of God.

In this book, you will learn:- The various components of the human mind.- Their functions and inter relationship.- The power and influence of the thoughts in the lives of men.- The meaning of scriptural meditation.- How to engage in the scriptural meditation.- The part the word of God plays in effective meditation. And lots more. The mind is the store house of limitless potentials and possibilities. The new birth connects one with the mind of Christ. Such minds when engaged in active and productive use brings glory to the Lord God Almighty. The product of such mind is always in line with the original plan and purpose of God for humanity. If humanity will ever be liberated from pains and sorrows, the mind of the believer is the tool that will be used to accomplish just that. The mind of the believer is therefore the panacea to the numerous problems confronting mankind.Incisive and in depth explanation of the word of God. The content also challenges the readers mind as to certain realities relating to God's word. My first work, 'Mind of the believer' is aimed at addressing a misnomer that God created man as a creature to be remote controlled from the celestial speed. On the contrary, the book explains that God created man in God's image and likeness. God is a spirit John 4:24, so He created man essentially a spirit being. Man has a soul (he is not a soul) and lives in the body. God is a thinking or thoughtful God for He said 'I know the thought I think towards you, thought of good and not evil'. Again, He said, "your ways are not my ways neither your thought my thought." Same way He gave man the mind with which to think and sort out life issues.Going by the above, this book challenges the reader to put the mind into active and productive use in line with the word of God. By so doing, the reader will be able to discover secrets that will put him above life issues not just for himself but for humanity in general. This said, mind of the believer is therefore the panacea for the many ills confronting humanity for it is the mind that is filled with limitless potentials and possibilities. When put to proper use, results are inevitable.

Easter is derived from the German word Eastern. The origin of Easter is linked to the Jewish Passover when the Israelites escaped from Egypt. The date for East- er falls on Sundays between 22 March and 25 April after the Astronomical full moon. The following Monday is a holiday for many Christian nations. Easter is all about salvation for sinners who need a heart of flesh. God sent his son Jesus to loosen the callousness of our heart so we can repent and experi- ence salvation. Before God created man, he prepared Earth as a beautiful birthday present for man. Man was lured into sin and God again came through by sending his son Jesus to die for our sin. Easter was the fulfilment of Christ's destiny. He was born to save sinners. Through death we are given life and hope again on a platter of gold after the sin of disobedience. Easter is celebrated with Joy because Christ has conquered death and we are given another opportunity to conquer our human flaws. We are forever reconciled with Christ

PRESENT day controversy that rages around the authenticity of the Scriptures and how human life began on this planet must pause to consider the Adam and Eve story. Where does it come from? What does it mean? The familiar version in Genesis is not the source of this fundamental legend, it is not a spontaneous, Heaven-born account that sprang into place in the Old Testament. It is simply a version, unexcelled perhaps, but a version of a myth or belief or account handed down by word of mouth from generation to generation of mankind-through the incoherent, unrecorded ages of man it came--like an inextinguishable ray of light that ties the time when human life began, with the time when the human mind could express itself and the human hand could write. The First Book of Adam and Eve details the life and times of Adam and Eve after they were expelled from the garden to the time that Cain kills his brother Abel. It tells of Adam and Eve's first dwelling-the Cave of Treasures; their trials and temptations; Satan's many apparitions to them; the birth of Cain, Abel, and their twin sisters; and Cain's love for his beautiful twin sister, Luluwa, whom Adam and Eve wished to join to Abel. This book is considered by many scholars to be part of the "Pseudepigrapha" (soo-duh-pig-ruh-fuh). The "Pseudepigrapha" is a collection of historical biblical works that are considered to befiction. Because of that stigma, this book was not included in the compilation of the Holy Bible. This book is a written history of what happened in the days of Adam and Eve after they were cast out of the garden. Although considered to be pseudepigraphic by some, it carriessignificant meaning and insight into events of that time. It is doubtful that these writings could have survived all the many centuries if there were no substance to them. This book is simply a version of an account handed down by word of mouth, from generation to generation, linking the time that the first human life was created to the time when somebody finally decided to write it down. This particular version is the work of unknown Egyptians. The lack of historical allusion makes it difficult to precisely date the writing, however, using other pseudepigraphical works as a reference, it was probably written a few hundred yearsbefore the birth of Christ. Parts of this version are found in the Jewish Talmud, and the Islamic Koran, showing what a vital role it played in the original literature of human wisdom. The Egyptian author wrote in Arabic, but later translations were found written in Ethiopic. The present English translation was translated in the late 1800's by Dr. S. C. Malan and Dr. E. Trumpp. They translated into King James English from both the Arabic version and the Ethiopic version which was then published in The Forgotten Books of Eden in 1927 by The WorldPublishing Company. In 1995, the text was extracted from a copy of The Forgotten Books of Eden and converted to electronic form by Dennis Hawkins. It was then translated into more modern English by simply exchanging 'Thou' s for 'You's, 'Art's for 'Are's, and so forth. Thetext was then carefully re-read to ensure its integrity.

This book re-affirms Christian commitment to Biblical truth, apostolic teachings, and the historic witness of the Church that Jesus is Lord. For tills reason, the book examines the Christian concept of the unique Christ for salvation within two modem societies: (1) Western concept of pluralism and secularism and (2) African traditional spirituality and worldview. The uniqueness of Christ was affirmed by using prophetic and apostolic witness based upon Biblical data. Western pluralism and secularism and African traditional spirituality and worldview are not to be accepted as valid religious arguments that negate the uniqueness of Christ but are indeed arguments of the non-Christian religions and cultures which are to be judged by the prophetic and apostolic witness and the Biblical data. For more than a generation Yusufu Turaki has been one of Africa's most distinguished and productive evangelical theologians. Here in two substantial volumes we have the fruit of his mature reflection on a principal crux of the African theological project, namely the appropriate way for African Christianity to understand and address Africa's traditional religious heritage. Since one cannot understand Africa without understanding Africa's traditional heritage, and since the religious dimension Africa's traditional culture affects all aspects of modern African life, Christian presence and witness in Africa cannot flourish within its context without a serious theological and practical engagement with these realities. This is not Turaki's first endeavour in this field of inquiry. He has been engaging these issues throughout his academic and ministry careers. And in doing so he has also been interacting with the considerable range of thinkers and literature in this field. Furthermore, within what otherwise has often been an ill-defined and poorly disciplined discussion, Turaki proposes a particular and fruitful way forward. In these two large volumes Turaki is both commending and demonstrating a biblically-grounded, theologically-responsible methodology for a Christian understanding of African Traditional Religion. He seeks to show how Christianity can best address African Traditional Religion with informed realism, with scholarly depth and integrity, and with biblical faithfulness. Having taken his first degree in Nigeria, Turaki then earned masters and doctoral degrees at leading academic institutions overseas. Thereafter he was long involved in the leadership of one of Africa's principal theological institutions, Jos ECWA Theological Seminary (JETS), and in the leadership of one of Africa's principal evangelical denominations, the Evangelical Church of West Africa (ECWA). In more recent years Turaki has also been engaged in international ministries and venues, including work with the Association of Evangelicals in Africa (AEA), the World Evangelical Alliance (WEA), and the Lausanne movement (LCWE), as well as in extensive writing and teaching ministries In the first volume of this major contribution Turaki provides an in-depth study of the African traditional religious worldview. He is convinced that a thorough familiarity with the religious mindset of traditional Africa is essential for any effective Christian presence and witness in modern Africa. He first surveys both western and African scholarly approaches to traditional religion. Then he undertakes a detailed introduction to the foundational theological, psychological, philosophical, ethical, and moral beliefs of African Traditional Religion, together with the relevant rituals, sacrifices, ceremonies, and festivals. He also emphasises how those beliefs pervasively influence religious attitudes, practice and social behaviour throughout Africa today. In the second volume Turaki then turns to outline a Christian and biblical approach to the realities of African Traditional Religion in modern Africa. He discusses each major component of an African traditional worldview from this standpoint. In doing so Turaki emphasises that the principal task of Christian reflection in Africa is not to understand Christianity from the perspective of African traditional culture and religion, but to understand African traditional culture and religion from the perspective of a Christian and biblical worldview.

Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth, II Timothy 2:15 I knew Teryila Solomon Addi as a young convert in Gboko more than two decades ago. He was quite zealous for the things of God and has maintained that fervency to date. Little did I know though that he was going to commit his life to the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ to the magnitude we are seeing today! We give all glory to God.We have many in the Church today, though educated in the things of God but show or take no interest in reading. This is nonchalance. Reverend Addi has challenged the church to sit up, to store scriptures by heart and to keep scriptures at the fingertips. He attempted to break the scriptures into smaller "chewable" bits. Thy word have I hid in my heart that I may not sin against thee. In difficult times or moments of sorrow, it is the word of God one remembers in one's heart that helps one. Our brother, in this book has taught one to study and to exercise ourselves in the knowledge of the scriptures. He has asked questions that will lead one to search the scriptures, simply put in his word "Sweeter than Honey". I wish to recommend this write up to the house - hold of faith. How do we navigate with precision, accuracy and clear vision so that we arrive at that expected end already predicted and provided for us by the infallible Word of God and the blood of Jesus? The author says: you must learn the strategies of victory. God has not permitted any devils, demons, wicked spirits, or even the powers-that-be of this world to rule over your destiny as a child of God. If they have been succeeding over your life, there is something you're yet to discover about their modes of operation. That is why this book has been put together. The author's emphasis and concern in this eye-opening and quite instructive prayer manual is that a person ought to participate actively in the making of their own destiny. Christians ought not to be passive to issues of life that seem determined and bent on swaying their other- wise colourful destinies, in an uncertain, obscure and confused direction quite contrary to what their Maker wants for them. Faith is now! You do not have to wait until you're close to the grave before you touch that glorious future. Your future is now. In this book you will learn how to identify the destiny destroyers, no matter how much they try to hide or pretend in order to deceive you. You will also receive powerful, proven and time tested strategies to destroy them out of your way. Grab this book, digest the secrets of experiencing the extra-ordinary, and begin to put them to use. Finally you will be on your way to a glori- ous destiny

Throughout the world, Christian groups meet regularly for bible studies, often within tight time constraints. Such meetings include what we call the Sunday School - typically before a Church worship service. A major challenge of these fellowships is the need to have a study that can be completed within the tight schedule, and yet leave participants with learning that they can apply to their daily lives. The Danite Group Bible Study (DGBS) series is a response to this challenge. The series have two objectives: First, they must lead to practical applications of bible principles to the lives of participants and to their environment. Secondly, each study material must be of the right length for a meaningful one-hour group study. Each edition of DBGS is based on a theme intended for a quarter of a year (3 months) and comprises twelve studies. The intent is that the group takes a one-hour study each week on the quarterly theme. To get the most out of each study, it is important that the study be participatory. Reading of the main texts should be shared among participants, after which all should read the key verse together. The paragraphs in the study, written in a teaching style, are read by individuals nominated by the leader while the questions that follow stimulate discussion. At the end of each study, a few bullet-point lessons are suggested. The study leaders should highlight these points as well as additional learning that may emerge from the discussions. While the materials are aimed at group bible studies, individuals should also find them helpful in personal studies. Whichever way you use them, I pray that the Holy Spirit will enrich your life through them.**Raphael Sunday AwoseyinFounder and AuthorLagos, Nigeria

Imagine what you could do if you knew the future! No doubt each of you has plans for the future, plans for what you will do when you get on the outside. What does the future hold? We go to considerable lengths to find out what the future holds. For instance, we pay people to be meteorologists, so that we can know what the weather will be like in the future. They have limited success - they might get tomorrow's weather right but things get very inaccurate past 2 or 3 days. What they do is look at the past conditions, track the trend and extrapolate it into the future. But it only works if things continue on as they are doing - no one predicted an earthquake was going to hit. It was a one off, an unexpected event. Things don't always continue on the way they always have. Sudden, unexpected, out of the ordinary things take place. It is a fallacy to think that the past is the key to the future. The Bible speaks of those who mock the predictions of the Bible of a coming day of judgement: [2 Peter 3:3-4 First of all, you must understand that in these last days some people will appear whose lives are controlled by their own lusts. They will mock you and will ask, "He promised to come, didn't He? Where is He? Our ancestors have already died, but everything is still the same as it was since the creation of the world!"] Everything carries on the same as it always does - but this is not case. It is impossible to plan unless you know the future. The one who knows the future is at a distinct advantage - in the past rulers and leaders spent considerable resources trying to gain the advantage of knowing the future - they employed astrologers, men who could read omens, examine livers etc.

What do we mean by been wealthy? What do we mean by been financially successful? Are there indices, or things you can point at, to say you are financially successful? I think so, and may suggest a few: · Ability to be able to take care of yourself and have a comfortable lifestyle. Suffering and smiling is a choice· Ability to be able to have a balanced and profitable investment portfolio.· Own a house of your own.· Having a comfortable lifestyle after retirement· Ability to meet emergencies as they come, for example, medical bills, or sudden bills.· Having multiple streams of income.· Ability to do good to meet your desires and to be able to do that which you truly desire without restraint. How do you fare with these indices? If you feel a sense of having fallen short, you are not alone. Acknowledging a problem is having it half solved. But the other half may not be so easy. That's why after many seminars and "how to" books on financial prosperity, many are still so far away from being financially comfortable!! This book may be your answer.

Today, not much goes for follow-up in Christendom. Yet, it is the heart of the matter or better still, it is the heart beat of God. Year in, year out, there have been familiar patterns of crusades, conventions, seminars, revival meetings, meal functions etc. All these efforts are aimed at bringing into the fold the lost souls i.e those yet to embrace the faith. But where are the fruits to show for all the resources so committed for these efforts, both in terms of time and finances? In John 15:16 Jesus puts it succinctly thus: "Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that you should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever you shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you." Let us consider a few hypothetical situations that will be relevant to us. A typical example of this situation is a couple who have cried to God for the blessing of the fruit of the womb for over 11 years of marriage. On the twelveth year, the Lord gives them a child and three others as the years go by. This should have brought the river of overflowing joy into the family, but something else goes wrong. From the first to the last of the kids, not one can walk i.e they are all crippled. So unhappiness still engulfs them and you can understand why. In like manner the host of heaven rejoices when a soul is won into the king- dom of God but unhappy when he never matures to the level of a saint. Again, a mother who keeps having babies year to year with none surviving is indeed not a happy mother. If anything, she is full of agony and pains. These will not be your portion. But it goes to show that just as in the physical realm, God is concerned about bearing profitable fruits in the spirit realm. The Lord concluded the earlier verse ( John 15:16) with great promise that if we establish these converts, our prayers shall receive answers from the Father in His name. What else can be more rewarding or promising? In line with that promise John 15:7 says: "If ye abide in me and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will and it shall be done unto you".

ENDORSEMENTSI have found this book, a very resourceful material for acquiring and retaining sound Biblical knowledge which will lay a solid-rock foundation for a fulfilled life. Jesus, our Master himself learnt by asking questions. Every disciple of his, young or old, should therefore use this master-piece for both academic and spiritual development. Lyop Gloria Mang Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth, II Timothy 2:15I knew Teryila Solomon Addi as a young convert in Gboko more than two decades ago. Reverend Addi has challenged the church to sit up, to store scriptures by heart and to keep scriptures at the finger tips. He attempted to break the scriptures into smaller "chewable" bits.Thy word have I hid in my heart that I may not sin against thee.In difficult times or moments of sorrow it is the word of God one remembers in one's heart that helps one. Our brother, in this book has taught one to study and to exercise ourselves in the knowledge of the scriptures. He has asked questions that will lead one to search the scriptures, simply put in his word "Chew the Word".I wish to recommend this write up to the house - hold of faith. Prayer, especially, mission praying has never been sustained through merely or- ganizing mission programmes. Some Christians out of emotion would shout and jump during such meetings but at the end, they never pray again for the un- reached until, may be, another year when they gather for another programme. We must trust God to catch the spirit of prayer. This however, is a personal thing. The reason is because a programme may kindle a prayerful spirit, but can- not sustain a prayerful spirit. Catching the spirit of prayer is what sustains a prayerful spirit. The will to spend time with God alone and to pray for the na- tions on a consistent basis often leads men to catch the spirit of prayer, and ulti- mately the spirit of missions. My prayer is that you catch this spirit as you read through this little book, and pray, pray and pray! The copies of the first edition, titled, "Prayer, A Christian Response to the Missions Challenge" had exhausted. A Christian brother who read the book vis- ited and told me how he took a copy of the book to his church and read some excerpts to the audience as he challenged the church on the matter of prayer. And he requested for more copies. I told him we did not have them again, except a few. He asked what it would cost to do a re-print. This revised edition with some excerpts from two previous editions of Occu- py, centering on the theme Prayer & Missions has been reproduced, courtesy of the generosity of this brother. It is my prayer that through this book our eyes will be further opened to see the incredible power prayer has in throwing wide open, the gates of hell when His Church takes mission praying as business. Painfully today, prayer, a great weapon for revival, national rebirth and turn- ing nations to Christ is being misused and abused. When a church, which is sup- posed to be a house of prayer for all nations, is turned to a house of prayer for self and personal vendetta against perceived enemies, it jeopardizes the purpose for which God has established the Church. Prayer, the Christian's Airpower, is a call for Christians to go back to selfless intercessory prayer for church revival and the evangelization of the nations.

"The author remains an inspiration to me and many others who are in constant need of new information and revelation for ministry to the children of Ishmael and Missions. This book is fresh from the throne of grace, for me, knowledge has just been unveiled to us and when I found it, I devoured it. The book to me is first and foremost a healing balm. It exposed the hidden and silent anger and hatred in my heart towards Ishmael. It made me to understand that my responsibility is to wage warfare of peace on them, and the instrumentality of my warfare is the gospel of peace. I can wage this warfare of peace everyday and anytime with every part of my body.I now know better that the Ishmaelites are in desperate need of peace and I am the peacemaker who has been endowed with the ability to give them peace. Whenever I wage peace on them, I am blessed in return (Matthew 5:9). I must see them as they are (perishing sinners in desperate need of what I have to offer-the gospel of peace). I recommend this book to all believers who want to see the will of God done on earth as it is in heaven; believers who are in desperate need of solution and guidance on how best to approach evangelizing the children of Ishmael.Let us arise and wage peace on Ishmael."Godwin Aluge, Missionary, Nigeria. "I have had the privilege of reading books published by the author and have been immensely blessed and spurred into actions by them and by the life and commitment he blazed. Waging Peace on Ishmael is a timely material that can bring healing to the hurts and answers to the mind-boggling questions. This book, in my humble opinion, is an attempt to bring the church into a correct perspective of where God stands NOW as far as Ishmael is concerned and to bring the church to stand with God on this prophetic time of harvest. I sincerely recommend that every believer in Christ read this book and take action and that churches use the material as a Bible study resource in equipping the saints for ministry among the Ishmaelites."
