In Volume five of the U-N-I-VERSE series, author Salim Shabazz (formerly Saleem Little) invites Authors Dane Brown, George Hopkins, Shavar L. Thompson, and poet Eza to share their thoughts, poems, and social examinations in a collective endeavor to raise consciousness and awareness while preserving the art form of poetry and expanding the horizons of literature. It is said that too often only the paper listens. Too often great ideas, thoughts, stories, etc. remain confined in the mind of their creator. Be it Writer's block, a writer's fear, or a person's unawareness of their writing potential, stories and ideas too often never reach the consciousness of the masses. Writer's Block is one author's first step in a quest to inspire more to inspire by the pen.

Volume three includes a candid interview with inmate and author George Hopkins detailing the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on the prison industrial complex.

This series is intended to unify the human family and realign all with the cosmic symphony that man's ego and pride has disrupted.In Volume One of the series we will be exploring the often enigmatic character known as "Jesus", "Messiah", "Christ", "Yeshua", "Isa Ibn Maryam" and countless other names and epithets. One of the most monumental figures in human history, Jesus' life and teachings has been shrouded in mystery and confusion while still supplying ample light in regards to the distorted representations of his true teachings or Gospel (Injeel).Amidst the confusion of his life and death and alleged crucifixion, the true teachings of Jesus have succumbed to the degeneration of time and yet and still, the little that remains, has been enough to transform the lives of the poor and destitute, the forlorn monk, the debased drug addict and countless other lives. The remnants of his teachings have inspired the innocent youth and the cunning man; the simpleton and the sage alike. This fact alone should attest to the greatness of his Gospel (Injeel) for if fractions of his teachings have led to the spiritual transformation of many human souls, surely that which he brought to his disciples, opposers, and strangers through Divine Inspiration must have been even greater. Nonetheless, people from all walks of life share an affinity for the man and the myth, born to the Virgin Mary known as:"Jesus of Nazareth"

G.O.D. is the story of two men from two totally different background whose lives are correlated by the same plight; poverty and destitution. Though seperated by an entire ocean, their lives runs strangely parallel. Soon the lives of these two men clash in a bloody war erupted by the murder of a mutual acquaintance. Wally is an impoverished boy from the streets of Buffalo, New York. Hamid is raised in the destitute province of Helmand in Afghanistan. Both boys lose their fathers to murders early in their lives and their single mothers struggle to care for them, leaving the boys to fend for themselves the best way they can. After Wally is taken in by a local drug lord, he and his friends begin to climb out of poverty. After Hamid and his sisters are adopted by an Opium Lord from Afghanistan, he is sent to America for schooling and training for what his adopted father, Nasser, sees as his master plan to undermine America. Bigger than the lives of these two men, Wally and Hamid, however is the ubiquitous theme of individual perceptions of God that permeates the novel. This force's (God) presence, or the lack thereof, reflects the level of attrocities endured by each and every character. G.O.D. is the story of Gold, Oil & Drugs (G.O.D.) and the violent wars man finds himself in, in his worship of these vices.
