The Art of Sherlock Holmes-USA Edition 1 is truly unique. While there have been literally hundreds of Holmes pastiches written (even a few of mine), before our first volume, The Art of Sherlock Homes-West Palm Beach, there had never been a volume where Holmes short stories were interpreted by such accomplished artists. In this first USA edition, thirteen world-class artists who live and create in the United States have each had a story assigned to them - specifically dependent on the particular talent of each artist. Whether the interpretations be from the forms of surrealist, contemporary, realist, digital, minimalist, symbolism, or an amalgam of various forms, each piece of art created is unique, hypnotic, mesmerizing and unforgettable. Each created specifically to express the essence of each incredible Holmes story. The thirteen stories herein range from the impossibly baffling (except for Holmes) to the humorous, paranormal, or simply intellectually intricate. You're presented with murder, theft, treason, betrayal, love, loss and greed. All the ingredients to make delicious Holmes meals of mystery. But please remember, art is in the eye of the beholder. So we hope you'll appreciate each creation for what it is: an inimitable interpretation of a truly unique Holmes story. And for those of you who get lost in abstract art, our abstract artists have provided an explanation of what their art means in relation to the story they've interpreted.

The eleven stories gathered together in these two volumes share their own common feature. All have connections to the world of belles lettres, the world of literature-some to celebrated authors in particular, others to themes or stories associated with specific writers . . . . Let others plumb this collection for more subtle themes. From Maupassant to Stevenson to Fitzgerald, the authorial giants who populate these pages are explanation enough for its title. As interesting as such literary associations may be, of course, one can never forget that in the finest tradition of all the other adventures of Sherlock Holmes, these sketches depict a series of heartless criminal acts-some more gruesome than others.

The Elephants in the Classroom talks directly to parents and teachers, providing a much-needed new perspective on the explosion of learning difficulties in our classrooms… and empowering them, with simple skills, to make many aspects of learning easier. Complementing Bridges to Success, this book explains how unlocking the use of mental imagery in a child's thinking can enable them to maximise their learning experiences. The challenges faced by neurodivergent thinkers and learners (for example, those with Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dyspraxia, ADHD, Asperger's and Autism) in today's conventional teaching settings could be addressed by a better understanding of how students learn visually. This book explores how some of the most talented creative children, with unrecognised and tremendous potential, can be the ones who struggle most in school. Hundreds of thousands of children are growing up, plagued by poor literacy, poor numeracy, the inability to concentrate, sensory overload and other problems that hold them back and may seriously affect their behaviour. Although committed to multi-sensory teaching and learning, schools often don't know how students employ the critical thinking skills of mental imagery - this is visual learning. The Elephants in the Classroom explains how these students, often with gifted with exceptional creative skills, can learn to control their mental images to make learning easier. Visual learning skills can be explored by parents at any age and easily taught, especially in primary school. Slightly adjusting how we educate children will allow them to maximise their learning experience. Although mental imagery is a natural skill for everyone, its contribution to learning is often overlooked.

Part XV: Mark Mower, Thomas Fortenberry, Robert Perret, Tracy J. Revels, Robert Stapleton, Peter Coe Verbica, Maurice Barkley, Edward A. Enstrom, William Todd, Roger Riccard, Kelvin Jones, Arthur Hall, Jack Grochot, David Marcum, Dick Gillman, Will Murray, Tim Symonds, Mike Hogan, Leslie Charteris and Denis Green, Nick Cardillo, and Darryl Webber with Two Poems by Christopher James and Forewords by Will Thomas, Roger Johnson, Melissa Grigsby, Steve Emecz, and David Marcum. 66 Stories New Holmes Adventures in 3 Simultaneously Published Volumes. In 1881, a weary doctor, wounded while serving in the military in Afghanistan, returned to London, only to be introduced to a most unusual young man who was already making a name for himself as the world’s first consulting detective. At that time, they were just in their late twenties, unaware of their legendary futures. They would go on to become two of the most famous and recognizable figures in the world: Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John H. Watson. In 1887, Holmes and Watson’s first investigation as a team, A Study in Scarlet was published. The Sign of Four followed in 1890, and then, in 1891, the world was electrified with the publication of The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes in the newly-formed Strand Magazine. And the world would never be the same. Through the rest of the Nineteenth Century, and all the way through the Twentieth as well, Holmes and Watson’s fame would grow. The Twenty-first Century is no different . . . . In 2015, The MX Book of New Sherlock Holmes Stories burst upon the scene, featuring stories set within the correct time period, and written by many of today’s leading Sherlockian authors from around the world. That first anthology, spread over three huge volumes, contained 63 stories and was the largest collection of its kind ever assembled in one place. Response was immediately and overwhelmingly positive, and soon there were calls for additional collections. Now, we proudly present Parts XIII, XIV, and XV, breaking the record of the first three volumes with 66 new adventures of Holmes and Watson. Over 150 contributors (so far) to the accumulated volumes of The MX Book of New Sherlock Holmes Stories have joined together from around the world to produce over 330 new Holmes adventures, each donating their royalties to the Stepping Stones School and the continuing restoration of Undershaw, as well as to honor Sherlock Holmes, the man described by Watson as “the best and wisest . . . whom I have ever known.” All royalties from this collection are being donated by the writers for the benefit of the preservation of Undershaw, one of the former homes of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
