The cute and expressive Namuh tribe share a simple, but highly effective way, to avoid TALKING TO A PERSON (oh no!), but stay connected to your Buddies. The adorably fuzzy Namuhs know that everybody wants to be happy, to be loved, to be accepted exactly how they are, to have deep connections, and to belong. The Namuh tribe has watched the Humans use their screens to make up the life that they wished for others to see. They saw the Humans think that their made-up life story would endear others to them, have others like them, and to connect them to the tribe. They saw the Humans gradually get to where they:¿ Preferred texting over talking; ¿ Prayed others left a voicemail (or better yet a text) so they didn't have to TALK TO A LIVE PERSON (oh no!);¿ Hoped the cashier didn't small talk (or even look at them) so they could just put their credit card near the machine and leave;¿ Chose to communicate with others sitting right next to you via a screen;¿ Avoided eye contact with others;¿ Began to hate every other driver out there that was in their way, going too fast, or too slow; and¿ Had fewer close friends than they used to.The Namuhs saw that the more the Humans connected to their screen, the more fixated they became on the screen, the more disconnected they became from everything. The Humans stopped listening to their inner voice and their true nature. Their made-up lives were built on a lie, projected on the screen what they wished for others to see in us. In trying to protect their made-up story, to be liked and to belong, the Humans isolated themselves to the very screens where they made up their life story. Being playful and in the moment, the Namuhs build their lives on trust, vulnerability, and shared experiences as the very things that connect them to each other and all that is. The Namuhs live an authentic life and share their wisdom in simple stories to help the Humans connect more meaningfully. Screens entertain us, provide comfort, find us lovers and friends, and allow us to buy life's necessities. We no longer need to leave our homes or have access to other humans. Outside of (anti)social media, most of us would prefer to remain anonymous. Communication, like everything else in the life of a human, is a use of lose skill which is being lost. This book shares a cute and super simple technique to start to communicate again. In Buddy Check!, Oculos, the nerdy, thoughtful and resourceful Namuh, shares how two simple words via a screen can lead to more meaningful conversations. He teaches us how to Buddy Check!, who to Buddy Check!, and the benefits of Buddy Check! With the help of his buddies (Kallos, Satya, Crus, Skok, Klem, Bata, and Cubo), Oculos discusses the emotions and scenarios in which to us the simple message: Buddy Check! Join this cast of colorful characters as they teach Humans to communicate again. Buddy check!

As he rode in the boat traveling in False Bay, South Africa, he continued to look at the mountainous region that circled the coastline. Floating up and down, the mist of the ocean water sprayed around the sides of the boat as the hull pounded the waves against the vessel. Two men were up front driving the boat, they were both Wade's men that he had served with in the military. Wade was in the rear of the boat with a special guest sitting across from him. This distinct guest had his hands tied behind his back, his feet were bound, and under the black hood that shrouded his head was a ball gag placed into his mouth in order to keep things silent and peaceful. There was nothing that this special individual had to say that would change anything anyways, he was here for one reason, to die. Wade was good at his job, that is why the DIA used him as a contract killer. His work as an assassin evolved around being a savage, methodical, and heartless man. Wade let the cool air hit his face, a few thoughts ran through his mind as he looked around at his environment. The most prominent thought was the operation at hand. As the boat plowed through the rough waters Wade felt a calmness that he had not felt in a long time. This mission was not a tough one, but it was one that he had never done before, so Wade had to admit to himself that there was a level of excitement. The man wearing the black hood sitting across from Wade was a very important man, and not for his good deeds, but evil. The planned mission would overall involve enormous sea creatures, and the disposal of an animal of a man into the natural environment. The boat would travel to the hunting grounds of Great White's, located near a seal colony. Once the boat reached its destination it would drop anchor and the person with the black hood would step off the rear of the boat into the black water, and this is where the struggle for survival would begin for the former warlord. Normally, Wade would keep things simple and use a silenced pistol and put a bullet into the cranial plate of the person identified for execution. But, every once in a while, a special request for a little extra heavy-handed torture is requested on a target by the agency. This was one of those times.

On September 28, 2022, Hurricane Ian struck Fort Myers, Florida, ravaging Fort Myers Beach and Sanibel, Captiva, Matlacha and Pine Islands. Ian was just the latest in a series of storms that have influenced how the region has developed since the mid-1800s. In fact, it was an 1841 hurricane that followed roughly the same track as Ian that caused the Army to move its central supply depot to Fort Myers' present-day location, a site presumably safe from impacts such as storm surge, hurricane force winds and inland flooding. That was not true then. It is not true now. Of all the towns and cities that dot the coast of the United States from the Rio Grande to Eastport, Maine, the City of Fort Myers has the sixth most homes and fourth most multi-family dwellings at risk for storm surge in the entire nation. With more than 400 miles of canals encompassing 520 square miles, neighboring Cape Coral is America's most vulnerable city when it comes to flooding produced by tropical systems. The severity of these impacts and the associated loss of life and property damage are expected to increase in the future due to sea level rise, climate change and ongoing development of single family, multi-family and commercial properties in the shallow flood plains that drain the Caloosahatchee River and its tributaries. With Historic Hurricanes of Fort Myers, local historian Tom Hall blends a meticulously researched analysis of where and why Fort Myers is uniquely subject to storm surge, wind damage and inland flooding with old-time stories of how the region's early pioneers weathered storms as they built a town and an economy based on cattle exports to Cuba. For the historian at heart, Historic Hurricanes of Fort Myers transports readers to a time when rugged, enterprising men and women assayed to build a town in the footprint of an old Seminole and Civil War fort on the southern bank of the Caloosahatchee River. It chronicles the role played by iconic cattlemen like Jake Summerlin and Capt. Francis Asbury Hendry and the singular importance of the cattle industry in decades following the end of the Civil War.For residents and property owners, this book provides a street-specific road map that delineates each neighborhood's risk for mild to catastrophic damage from storm surge, hurricane force winds and freshwater flooding. It considers how these impacts are likely to worsen in a wetter, hotter climate. And with input from WINK TV Chief Meteorologist Matt Devitt, Historic Hurricanes of Fort Myers provides useful tips and concrete recommendations for how to survive a storm ... and when and why to evacuate in advance of one.Readers will glean a greater appreciation of the factors that led to the settlement of this part of Florida. But given the region's unique risk for storm impacts in a changing climate, Historic Hurricanes of Fort Myers serves as the quintessential tropical cyclone survival guide.

Amanullah Khan is passionate about Poetry. His previous book, Barefoot in the Rain, was a collection of villanelles. In Heaven in the Woods, he explores multiple styles of poetry, as he felt constrained by the villanelle format. He created a new means of expanding the expression of the villanelle's composition. Thus, a new style of poetry, the Ballanelle, was born. It allows for the extension of thought and stretched imagination yet keeps the reader focused as in a villanelle. In Heaven in the Woods, he writes about themes such as family, nature and life.

Science Is Not GreatThroughout the COVID-19 pandemic, politicians repeatedly appealed to "the science" to justify tyrannical policies, and much of the population passively complied. Such compliance stemmed from a deep, religious reverence for science in which people see science as an infallible god. But is science really that great, or is it doing more harm than good? In Science Is Not Great, author Colton Martens-a university professor who holds a BS in Biology and a PhD in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology-explores the political biases that dominate scientific institutions and call academia's politically charged conclusions into question. He discourages people from blindly putting their faith in science, citing problems with the scientific method, past failures of biomedical science, and past vaccine mistakes. The author also takes a somewhat unique stance against advanced biomedical science and discusses the long-term negative effects this will have for our species' health. The book shows how science has a surprisingly poor track record and should not be worshiped as the be-all, end-all solution to society's ills. In fact, the author argues that science is being used to create a highly undesirable dystopian future, and he offers suggestions on how to fix science and once again make it a force for good.

MUSICAL SCALES that "sing" THE MAYAN CALENDAR?? Could they really exist?Indeed they do! And anyone holding this book can not only READ about them, but EXPERIMENT with them, since full tuning data is included here. As to their creator, JEREMY HALADYNA, here are clear case studies of the original music he devised to fold around his scale creations, much of it now commercially released. Here are scales that "sound out" the delicate dance of Earth and Venus, which the classic Maya observed with the keenest eyes, making them possibly the greatest Timekeepers that ever lived...there is even a scale here for the heart-stopping moment that was December 2012! Within these covers, too, are photos from the author's 10 trips to the Mayan region (Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, Honduras)--alongside a wide range of monochrome musical examples... fully covering the gamut from Mayan sport, to Mayan flora and fauna, through their colorful roster of traditional deities, to their own reckoning of ancient history.

CELEBRATION OF THE FIAT OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARYThe MilAve Devotion is the recitation of 1000 Hail Mary's. We gather to celebrate the fiat of our Celestial mother. Thanks to her fiat, we have a brother, a Redeemer and the Eucharist. This devotion started back with Saint Catherine of Bologna, a mystic and a patron saint. As she expressed in her own words:"It was just a moment."The Blessed Virgin Mary's Fiat did change the world. The mission of this devotion is to lead the elects to Jesus Christ through Mary's spiritual strength and humility. It can be said individually or as a group in three to four hours or expanded to 25 days of 40 Hail Mary's daily.TOTUS TUUS MARIA!

Mr. Zamorano hits hard on issues that plague our society today. He has lived through each of the issues described in the book and has come up with suggestions to correct the inequities that pervade this country. He does not take sides and hits each issue head on.He takes a close look at the crime that has increased in frequency and severity and is rampant across the country. He addresses the reasons why it has increased with suggestions to correct it. He assigns responsibility to the police for overreach when thought to be necessary but also assigns responsibility to the parents of teenagers who commit crimes and suggests payment for their retribution. What a novel idea! We will see how long it takes parents to pay strict attention to the social conduct of their out-of-control children when they are hit with restitution for damages made by themHe looks at issues that are very sensitive like abortion and takes a stand for each side of the issue. There are no politics involved in the solutions made and he is respectful of each side. Of course, someone is going to read this section in the book and, regardless of the suggestions, he or she is going to have his or her own ideas of the issue that may conflict with the author's. Because the author is a military retiree, he is involved with veteran issues that should have been corrected long ago. In many instances, military, who are injured while performing combat situations and must be hospitalized, are entitled to disability pay. When it is a military retiree, he also receives compensation, however, when he is receiving retired pay along with disability, he is required to have his retiree pay diminished dollar for dollar to compensate for his disability pay. In other words, he winds up paying for the injury resulting from a combat situation or is service connected. Mr. Zamorano has written several letters to congressmen and to the president concerning this issue. He has never received an answer to any of his letters. The Democrats continue to defend the policies that have turned this country in the past two years into a smoldering, angry and divided country. America has a history of division. We have endured deep divisions between its political parties, with over industrialization; suffering a civil war; allowing illegal immigration; civil rights and anti-war protests in the 1960s, gay rights, abortion and numerous other battles that plague this country. The author cannot reconcile hypocrisy by the government that projects one version of the truth to the world when it knows the projection is false. Let's take the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier located in Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, D.C. Some brilliant political mind determined that it would be a good idea to construct a building, place the remains of an unknown soldier and provide military security to that structure on a 24 hour basis. Have video cameras to document to the world America's sense of honor and respect it has for its fallen soldiers. Project that image to the world. To that end, the United States Army provides sentinels to protect the tomb, changing of the guards every 30 minutes, twenty four hours a day, three hundred an sixty-five days, come rain or shine. Video cameras record the pomp and circumstance; the cameras panning out to the tourists viewing the ceremony. That is the image that we want to world to see and give the sense of our commitment to our military. Nothing can be further from the truth. We desperately need change in this country or we are on our way to becoming a third world country. We cannot let that happen. The author is making a plea in this book to readers to wake up and take a stand for this great na

Society's foundational stories, key to uniting us, are under attack because they are judged as unhistorical biblical myths. What if that judgment is wrong? In that case, debunking these attacks would be important. Which is why this book is important! The history of the universe from the beginning to the creation of man on earth is a real history, just slightly different than as described in the bible. The cognitive revolution is a real event, just slightly different than as described in the bible. The Garden of Eden is a real place and can be pointed to on a map today. But what about the heroes? The key to identifying biblical heroes in secular sources is to synchronize the chronologies. By answering a simple question with a simple answer, this narrative is based on an alternative chronology that unmasks identities of many heroes...and they are REAL! Noah's flood was a real event and can be linked to the most catastrophic volcanic eruption of the Bronze Age. Abram was a real person, and a mayor of Jerusalem wrote and complained about him to an Egyptian Pharoah. Joseph was a real person, and his story has been known for centuries in Egypt but misidentified due to poor chronology. Moses is in the Egyptian records once you look in the right time period! And the histories of these hero's matter. They matter because the record of their history in the Bible records the maturation of an explanation for the fundamental question everyone wants to know the answer to: why? Experience the thrill of quickly and easily learning the Bible and discovering how accurate it really is while staying true to the latest modern science. The majority of the Old Testament is thoroughly explored in less than 250 pages, and they are explored as they occurred, within the larger history of man! History, alternative history, biblical history, Ancient Near East geography, military analysis, mathematics, metallurgy, the Bronze Age Collapse, archeology, linguistics, even climate change, all these topics make their appearance in these pages to help explain what the latest scholarship believes to be true about the Bible.Although this book is clearly written by a modern scientist and mathematician, it is truly hoped that it is seen for what is intended to be: a modern-day apologetic. To serve that role, it was written in a way that is hopefully easy to read and not filled with dense notes. It hopefully includes enough information to get the curious started on their own investigations. And it is hopefully clear that the author respects and is in awe of the biblical authors.

This book is meant to shed light onto areas of our existence that deserve more recognition. We as humans would ultimately reach our full potential if we unified. Due to indoctrination and a dash of Willie Lynch, we all have turned a blind eye to our neighbors and potential friends. We have been taught to accept the bare minimal as humans. We have learned to promote systemically oppressive system that we are ALL subject to. Systems that some of us do not survive. My fear is that through all of this division we may have actually come to believe that there is no other way to live. Nothing could be farther from the truth. We are all one and derive from the same energy source. That is a scientific fact. So be brave! Join me in liberating yourself from our societal norms. Tear down the boundaries that have kept us from being our best selves. We can only do this together and with love.
