This is a story of a seventeen-year struggle with being addicted to power, self-doubt, and a life in the shadows that people don't typically leave willingly. The biggest problem with addiction isn't the addiction itself but the recovery process, trying to find your place in this "normal" society. Trying to adjust to a life of rules and ultimately trying to live a full life knowing that a piece of you was lost long ago, and you can never get it back.

Life starts out as a plan in becoming someone or somebody. But plans can be interrupted, broken, or changed when making bad decisions due to some of our choices as youth and the situations that we allow ourselves to be put in. Most of the time, things are not turning out the way they should. This is the real meaning behind the title of my book, It Was Over Before It Started. I would just like to help and inspire those with depression, drug addiction, and learning disabilities to not give up just because they have problems or are not smart or the best athletes. At the end, there is a place for them. We as human beings will fall short of our goals and dreams. If not, then job well done.

Full of events that will inspire priests and laypeople alike, God Is Able will encourage all to trust God and step up when guided by His nudging. This book tells of how God things happen almost every day if we remain in Him, listen to His promptings, and have the courage to proceed. This is a narrative from a humble Irish priest in America using examples from the early calling into the priesthood through his first few parishes and while at Blessed Trinity in Florida, where he has served for thirty-five years. It includes recounts of a dynamic and diverse career of prison ministry, campus ministry, helping relocate refugees, keeping contact with Irish Travellers, and many helpful points from a life of priesthood.Among the stories in God Is Able is of the amazing growth of a small parish school in Ocala, Florida, due to the spiritual concept of living the Stewardship Way of Life. The enrollment increase was more than doubled during a time when Catholic schools faced shutdowns all around the country.Another astounding result of this parish commitment to the Stewardship Way of Life has been a monstrous outreach to Nalweyo, Uganda. The continual commitment to this area has led to thirty-two village churches, twenty-two schools, an orphanage, a medical clinic, and more! The amazing thing is, this parish is located in one of the less affluent counties in the state of Florida.Journeying through these stories, the reader will be convinced that God is calling him to be His mouthpiece. This book should be uplifting and inspiring to all who read it.

In this informative book, Dr. Elaine Williams-Morgan explores social media, one of the greatest innovations of our time, chronicling its development from the early beginnings to the current time when there are over two hundred social networking platforms. The book highlights the disruptive character of social media and its commonalities with other disruptive technologies. The disruption is being experienced across a range of industries, including music, advertising, and the traditional media, as journalists, educators, and businesses take advantage of the critical mass that this innovation delivers. It outlines the avalanche of social media platforms available to users, led by Facebook, YouTube, and WhatsApp, and provides a roadmap for the development of an appropriate social media policy and strategy for navigating the digital era. The power inherent in the adoption of social networking tools to reduce marketing and promotional costs, facilitate efficiency and effectiveness in communication, and drive collaboration and innovation is underscored. These trends predict an increase in the number of social networking platforms and a broadening of the scope of these platforms. There is also an indication that as Internet access expands globally, a higher percentage of the global population will go online using their mobile devices and, specifically, for social networking. These developments, Avalanche of Leads emphasizes, make it imperative for individuals and businesses alike to take the steps necessary to develop a winning social media strategy that employs tools that have become important for life and business. A failure in this regard could mean being left out of the social media ecosystem, an environment rich with opportunities to thrive!

From Wag to Swag: A Coffee-Table Tribute to Bird Dogs was born out of finding a dog stranded on an old country road one afternoon in February of 2022 (and the calling Steve had from his beloved Katie who died of cancer a year prior). The dog found on that old country road is now known as Abby (Abbie). Steve named her Abby after the country road he found her on (Abernathy Road). A dog who was given the title "unadoptable" after spending less than a week in a local shelter. A dog who might have been a product of euthanasia if it wasn't for Steve, his beloved Katie, and the help he received from a nonprofit rescue organization called Ripple Effect Animal Project in Napa, California.Steve's hope, through this book, is to help dogs that are abandoned and left to die, dogs that are sent to shelters, or dogs who have lost their forever homes, not by choice but by human intervention, to never have to worry about their lives ending because no one wants them. He doesn't believe anyone can truly look into one of these dogs' eyes and find that they want this to happen to them. Please help him help them.If you purchased this book, you did.Thank you, and God bless the dog, for they have given us more than we can ever give back to them!

When a killer dog and a toddler are found sitting precariously near I-65 in Kentucky, they are taken to what appears to be a working farm, or is it? To the neighboring town, the farm is business as usual, Hay and cattle, but something more is also going on within those fences. The people there, mostly former or retired military working just outside federal and local jurisdiction, had an interest in the idea that to better the lives of people, even fierce enemies, could perhaps be accomplished if each was living in the reality of the other. The phrase winning hearts and minds had been used in military campaigns with some success, so they worked with individuals to study this premise applied on a much smaller and more personalized scale. Could changes be made one person at a time? Would it work and be lasting? Finally, would it make a difference. Once the unlikely pair arrived, it was quickly apparent that the people who had been responsible for their care needed to be found and brought to the facility as well. No one working at the facility could have predicted this would test them to their limits. Baby's Breath is a novel that explores bias and how our human nature plays out from one person to the next. Have you ever found yourself wondering why a person treats another the way they do? If roles were reversed, would they view their actions differently? The characters in Baby's Breath allow you to enter their lives and perhaps gain a better understanding of the why.Bias against someone seems to be the norm and we've forgotten that a person may be reacting due to any number of recent or past experiences just to survive. Certain characters in my book I imagined were sitting with me and told me what to write. I now see them as dear friends who could have done better with a seasoned writer, so I ask their fictional forgiveness. My wish is that you enjoy my first novel. If you come away with anything, come away with the understanding that a preconceived notion of how a person appears in life is only the surface. Treasures may be discovered if you dig a bit deeper.

This book reflects my feelings throughout my journey. True expressions have been a challenge for me. This book gave me the opportunity and encouragement to express feelings from within.By the time I was in middle school, I begin to realize that I had mild depression and low self-esteem. I always kept my feelings and hurt built up inside of me. I didn't want others to say I complain too much or "Every time I turn around, she's having problems." I was telling myself that if I talked to anyone, they wouldn't be able to understand me. I began to express my feelings on paper, releasing some of that pressure and buildup. I wrote something, "How Can This Be?" In that writing, I talked about me and the feelings that I felt. Now that I'm older, I thank God allowing me to overcome those feelings.

In The Uprising, the third book in what many are now calling the Heartland trilogy, Bunk Russell continues to entertain his readers with his unique writing style. In this writing, patriotism takes on a new meaning as Mike Lane, the leader of the now Patriot Party and the Newly Born Patriot Movement, creates an alliance between strange bedfellows--the patriot militias, the United States military, law enforcement, and a discontented populace. The country has an openly lesbian president and a Muslim vice president, and they have appointed socialists and socialist sympathizers throughout their cabinet. The New World Union has troops on American soil, and the president has plans to completely remove what little is left of America's constitutional republic and nationalist structure to become the president of this New World Union. The United States will essentially be dissolved, and all the government, including the military and the national and local law enforcement agencies, will be subservient to the NWU.This becomes the unifier of Mike Lane's coalition, which will attempt to take our country back and to reestablish the constitutional republic of the Founding Fathers. The Uprising plays itself out all across the heartland in a way that only this author could create with a blend of today's news, history, and science fiction. This book reminds us all that freedom is not given but is taken.--Patricia BrownThe author's choice of words and literary expression were very moving and stimulating.--Edwardo Patel on The Wind in the TreesI have been looking for a profound book such as this my whole life, and to think that I would get it in my hands so soon. Great job!--Jamarcus Holmes on In the HeartlandIn the Heartland would certainly make a great movie.--Unknown

Aaron in the Snow is a book about how someone who is so set in their ways can be changed by God's love. It also deals with someone who thinks they know everything and is all too smart to learn something new.In this day and time, when the only thing you see on TV is borderline stupidity, or promoting some kind of sex theme, the world needs to get back to the Word of God.Nowadays, everyone is a hero, or trying to be a comedian. The world thinks that if you watch and live by the actions portrayed on TV, you're "cool," or if you display the way they act, you're as "tough" or as "popular" as the actors are.Aaron in the Snow is a book that should be read by everyone from grammar school up.I have had older people, as well as young, read the book and cry, trying to understand why the world can't be more like the story it tells.I don't look for my book to change the world, but if it reaches just one person, just one life changed, then the work was all worth it.I just ask that you read my book and put yourself in Ashley's place. Try to imagine how her life was and how the Lord has brought her up to where he could use her for his work and his honor and glory.

Knock! Knock! It started in the living room. The sound.I heard heavy breathing with a gentle shuffle of footsteps. I was terrified. How could I not be alone in my house? That breathing. That shuffling.Closer.Closer.I tried to see what I could. I saw nothing. By the speed it approached, it would reach the light switch at the same time I would. What could I do? Where could I go?I wondered what it was capable of. Making noise? Yes. Of course. Making a sound like it is getting closer? Yes. It can do that.Touch me? Nah. Ghost can't do that. Can they? Can they? Can they? This is not a fake story. This is a true story. Can they?I know the answer.

Even inside a house, adventures are possible. What child does not like to play hide-and-seek? Every child does. They begin at a tender age by hiding their faces behind their hands as they play peekaboo. This book is intended to show the different personalities of children and how they can blend together, despite differences, and enjoy each other's company. Challenges await as each child comes with his or her own ideas, but it is a beautiful thing when children can compromise and when they can respect each other's ideas. Every child's ideas are important, and compromise is a way of saying that despite differences, goals can be achieved, and everyone can be satisfied. Nonacceptance of a child's idea does not mean the rejection of a child, and this is where the adults in their lives take the opportunity to inform them of how important they are and how equally important other children are. Hide-and-Seek with Kimora is a good, anytime-of-the-day storybook that a child can enjoy whether they are going off to bed or enjoying the day with a good book in hand.
