What do you get if you send out glory-seeking Vikings, swilling magical ale from a bottomless keg, to scour for loot and enjoy a sex romp through the ancient cities of Russia and the East? Blood on the Axe is a jolly romp from the shores of Lake Malaren to the fantastically rich cities of the east. My Viking heroes (well, anti-heroes) encounter gods, harlots, shysters, thieves, and imbeciles. They bang elbows with emperors, khagans, and despots on their way to the glory of Valhalla - or at least many romps with harlots. Did I mention them? Along the way, laughs and bawdy times are had by all.

When an accident gets covered up instead of being reported to the police, it can tear an entire family apart. What starts out as one small lie to hide the family secret turns into burial plots in the family house's basement. Don't miss the newest novel by Alan Sakell. It will keep you turning page after page.

This collection of poems was written as a result of addiction counselling. My psychologist suggested that when I felt like I was going to relapse, due to strong emotions, to find something I was passionate about to distract me. I have always had a passion for photography, so I combined that with getting my emotions down on paper. There are so many people with mental health problems and I want them to know that everyone does in some way, and that's OK.

The turbulent chaos that reigned during the last quarter of the nineteenth century in the Old West was no more dramatic than in the Indian Territories of pre-state Oklahoma. Bass Reeves, the first African-American deputy marshal employed west of the Mississippi River, was assigned to the wild Indian Territories. Bass became famous for his aliases, ambidextrous shooting, clever disguises, and stylish fashion. In 1907, Oklahoma was granted statehood. In a twist of tragic irony, the newly adopted Jim Crow laws turned against him, forcing Bass to retire to Muskogee, Oklahoma, to serve as a police officer in the segregated area of that small town. Although there is no documentation to prove that Fran Stryker, creator of the fabled masked man, The Lone Ranger, was inspired by the true-life character of Bass Reeves, the similarities between the fictional hero and the real-life Bass Reeves is fascinating. This inspiring and insightful historical account of one man's survival and success, despite appalling injustices, is a fascinating account of the remarkable and eventful life of famed lawman of the Indian Territories, Bass Reeves.
