Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a chronic metabolic disorder of impaired metabolism of Carbohydrates fats and proteins, characterized by hyperglycemia resulting from decreased utilization of carbohydrates and excessive glycogenolysis and Gluconeogenesis from amino acids and fatty acids.
