Commonsense - Wisdom - Leadership is an informative and valuable read that will help new and experienced managers sharpen their leadership skills. Hiss uses his 30 years of management and coaching experience to present the interesting and important reality that having a basic understanding of management principles is something very different from knowing how those principles can be applied effectively to workplace situations. Hiss presents important insights into why so many dedicated and hard-working managers struggle with repetitive operations and personnel problems despite their best efforts. He combines fresh perspectives, solid management philosophies, and refined application techniques with the management principles we already know and shows how they can be applied effectively to address some of the most troublesome situations, such as conflict management, handling multiple projects, time management, interviewing candidates for line and management positions, and employee errors, among others. This is a smart must-read that includes case studies and critical thinking that gets to the heart of how managers can develop a more positive relationship with their employees, reach for higher workplace performance standards and efficiencies, and experience less on-the-job stress. With more than 30 years of experience managing both small and large complex operations, Stephen Hiss observed and is familiar with the intensity and effort organizations must employ to be successful in a highly competitive, ever-changing, and complex marketplace. He has also observed and learned to appreciate the personal stresses and commitments employees must juggle while performing their assigned tasks and responsibilities so their organization can achieve its essential business objectives. He has published journal articles, presented programs nationally on management techniques and customer service, taught college-level courses on leadership, and mentored and coached managers.Hiss combines and uses those diverse experiences to build a set of unique and powerful leadership perspectives and management techniques that can be applied successfully to address a wide range of workplace situations.

How would you feel if someone wrote a biography on you and they completely misrepresented you and what was important to you? How would you respond if, when confronted, they just shrugged it off or said that was how they wanted others to interpret your life?Or what if you wrote an autobiography and someone came along and completely changed it? And what if they told everyone that their version was the one you wanted everyone to believe? For half a century, the progressive, secular modernists have been doing just that with history. Mirroring their new religious and philosophical mindset, their standard of values has been superimposed on the past. The old ideas of truth, morality, and spiritual destiny have been erased.Follow as adventurers as they go back in time and rewrite history to change the past. With careful attention to the actual lives of those in the past, Seven Score and Four paints a picture of what may have happened should humanity have time-traveling capabilities.

Art Shay: "In a world obsessed with the aggressive explorations of other countries and cultures, it is sheer delight to recommend a classic internal search: "Savvy Me...(NOT)" a Comedy of Errors and Successes is an entertaining tour through the life of a bouncy country girl who developed her passion for music - especially singing- into the esthetic centerpiece of a normal life, - with, alas, many pitfalls -which she conquers with style and pizzazz.Readers will marvel how, at long last, this empty- nester who had accepted a kind of second-class life at the hands of other people- finds her true self by searching for, finding, then utilizing all her hidden assets- and putting them into play. This is a talented woman's story for women- for women who sense there is more to their lives- if only they could tug at the right threads to undo the tangle of their former days.Judi K somehow manages to inspire in others the feelings she found in herself- and to enrich what she calls her "late in life" overcoming of hardships and obstacles that would have daunted many lesser women.Having produced more than 60 books over the past half century, I'm happy to recommend "Savvy Me (NOT)" - A Comedy of Errors and Successes to as many of my readers as I can. All you wanna-be late achievers- this upbeat book is for you"! Art Shay: Most recent books :"Nelson Algren's Chicago", "Couples", "Animals", "Album for an Age".Scott Yanow: "Judi K is a superior swing and jazz singer who is always a delight to hear. Her memoirs, "Savvy Me"- A Comedy of Errors and Successes", display another valuable skill. She is a colorful storyteller with a strong memory, and she has a memorable story to tell. Her evolution from a young farm girl to a sophisticated singer, and her lifelong battle against her unwillingness to do something for herself as opposed to being a constant caregiver, makes for fascinating reading about universal topics."-Scott Yanow, veteran jazz journalist and author of ten books including The Jazz SingersHarry Mark Petrakis: "From a ride on a tractor, to the building of a house, to living on a farm and the taste of newly plucked apples in an orchard, the memoir is precise and poignant in evoking the smells, sights and sounds of a beloved past." - Harry Mark Petrakis; novelist, short story writer.Shelley Wruk Finke: ""In recent years Judi K has produced sensitive and intelligent profiles of jazz personalities for the Mississippi Rag. Now she puts her insight -- and her trademark sense of heart to use in this memoir from the front lines of personal trial. Every woman who has braved unexpected setbacks will identify with Judi's journey from joy to tragedy and back" - Shelly Wruk Finke; Scriptwriter, NPR International, "Riverwalk, Live from the Landing" Writer, editor & publisher Jazz E-weekly

RIP. Rest in peace. Why is it that when a loved one passes away, the family and friends say, "Rest in peace?" Are the dead really in peace? The dead know nothing, so how could that person be in peace? So, what is the truth behind this saying? God makes it clear in His word where people go after they die. Is there such a thing as life after death, or is death the end of life? People have different opinions about this. People need to know the truth about where they will spend eternity when they die, and not just someone's opinion except the fact that no one wants to know the truth, and if they did know the truth, they would not tell the deceased person's family that their deceased loved one is spending eternity in hell and being tormented daily. Imagine this: You are at your loved one's funeral, and you say, "Rest in peace," and then someone says to you, "Why are you saying that? This person lived a life of wickedness, cheating, hurting people, lying to people, and stealing from people, and you say, 'Rest in peace.' Why should that person be in peace? What did they do to deserve peace? That person is going to hell, and in hell, there is no peace." Is this something you want to hear at a funeral? Too many people are being deceived by this saying only because it helps those who are hurting to clear their minds. Yes, granted, that person's body is dead, but are they dead? Or are they living beyond their grave? The spirit is very much alive. So once again, is that person resting in peace, or how would a person even know? What about you? Where would you spend eternity if you were to die right now? Read this book and find out. All knowledge of this book has been inspired by God and is backed up by the word of God in it.

Hope for Weary SoulsWhat does it mean to be soul-weary?Maybe you already know the answer far too well. And what is Hearts-ease? Literally, it is a small, cheerful flower which resembles pansies and violets. In flower meanings it represents peace, rest, healing. Ease for your heart-ache, your heart-break. Jesus is the true source of ease for our hearts. He makes this special promise to every weary soul:"Come unto Me, all ye who labor and are heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am gentle and humble of heart and you will find rest for your souls."-Matthew 11:28.I hope this little book of true stories, dreams, and humorous anecdotes from my own very personal journey will give you Hearts-ease. I pray that in its pages your soul will find rest."There is so much peace and joy in Lynn's writing. It's almost liquid right off the page. She wants us, the readers, to truly know His love, to rest in His work, to look forward to Heaven, and so much more."-Rev. Laurie Langley, Evangel Cathedral"The story on page 15 alone is worth the price of the book. I wish I could respond to harsh people just like Lynn did!"-Rev. Arthur Holt, Spartanburg, SC.Author of "What I Have Come to Believe" and "People of My Journey""I personally read Lynn's book many times. Her down to earth writing reads as comfort food for the soul. I unfortunately was incarcerated when first I read it; but it quickly became the most popular book among our daily prayer group. Three men were moved to fully accept Christ as their Savior and myself finally accepted the calling God laid on me. Read the book and may God bless you and keep you."-"Preacher" - former inmate of Madison County Jail.

When I wrote all my books, it felt as if I were immersed in the scenes, watching a vivid movie unfold. I made a conscious effort to convey the content in a fictional, dynamic, and empowering way.Our hope is that someday, an individual or entity with financial resources, perhaps even from within the government, will undertake the development of a medical computer as described in these three books. This advanced medical computer would possess the capability to diagnose illnesses, identify optimal treatments, and halt the spread of viruses such as COVID-19. The most challenging aspect for us was the editing process, for which I sought assistance. Nevertheless, the journey of crafting the three books has been immensely enjoyable. The author has a degree in Aerospace Engineering and has worked for some of the biggest companies in the world. He has worked as an Engineer, a Programmer, a Manager, and an Executive. He is now retired and enjoying the fruits of his labor.I am motivated to write this book due to the positive reception of my previous works, namely "The Medical Project" and "Self-Help and Mental Health Path to Wellness," which inspired me to write this book. Additionally, the lack of progress in the medical industry in harnessing the available computing power, along with other global issues that could benefit from computer technology, compelled me to undertake these projects. While this book is fictional, it contains numerous projects with ideas that have the potential to improve the world. Given the interest in adapting the first book into a movie, I decided that it would be prudent to write a second and third book in anticipation of a potential series.Nicholas LicausiNow that I am retired from my positions as an engineer, programmer, manager, and executive in several large companies, I have decided to pursue writing. It allows me to explore ideas aimed at truth, justice and a better tomorrow. Given the fictional nature of this book, I can envision and bring to life the transformations from within the government and into society that I believe should occur.

Deofoe's plan was flawless. Nothing could stop him now. The land was in turmoil, its people starving. Years of oppression had made their lives worth little more than death. Holding out would only delay the inevitable. In the end, they would be his...But not if Benton had his way. With no strength, no army, and no grain to feed the people, he was determined to deny Deofoe the victory if it meant dying to do so. Or maybe even doing the one thing he vowed he could never do.Melissa Shockey grew up in the farmlands of eastern Nebraska, where her love for books began. As a child, the highlight of her week was often the Saturday morning drive to the small-town public library, where she would bring home as many books as allowed. Through her reading, she developed an early interest in real-life characters, the friendships they formed, their loyalties, and how they responded to trouble. Her time spent in inner-city outreach and working among the homeless gave her plenty to observe. Yet, while she appreciated the uniqueness of the individual, she ministered to each with the realization that all are equal at the foot of the cross. The King's Measure was born out of the belief that no matter how diverse our backgrounds are, God's same offer of grace is extended, without measure, to all who are bold enough to receive.
