In a small french town in the year 1565, the devil took possession of a young Catholic married woman named Nicola Aubry. He revealed himself as Beelzebub, "prince of devils, next to Lucifer." And the devil did not come alone. Twenty-nine minions accompanied the father of lies at one point. Several Protestant preachers tried to expel the devil, and they were quickly humbled. The devil even revealed the secret sins of those present at Nicola's public exorcisms. The battle to free Nicola's soul from many demons waged on until the devil came face-to-face with the Most Blessed Sacrament and one courageous bishop. In these pages, you will discover one of the most gripping true accounts of demonic possession in Church history, as well as why God permitted this battle to occur. More than just curiosity, The Exorcism of Nicola Aubry has many striking lessons for our own time, when the demons are seeking the ruin of souls with renewed vigor through the occult, sin, and disbelief in the Real Presence. Here, you will find a true story for the ages, a story where good triumphs over evil, where our humble Eucharistic Lord once again defeats His proud, ancient nemesis, the devil.

"Miracles, signs, wonders are still parts of the daily lives of these folks whose ages are enjoyed well into the eighties and one is ninety-two and another is ninety-five. All the stories shared within the pages of this unique little book are true and awesome. Surely mostly Christians, even many "regular" people, have had godly experiences that they explained away as being mere coincidences. But God is alive, and He takes delight in being among us and showing all of us his glory and mighty powers and healing and protection to those who believe. "What's natural to you is supernatural to the world; and what's supernatural to the world is natural to you."These authors are among those who were "blessed By God" during the revival years beginnings of the 1960s. Now even in the little happenings of their daily lives.

Growing up across from a ball diamond, in a middle class home with a brother and two parents that loved their boys more than they loved each other, all I ever needed was a ball, a glove, and a cadre of friends. I was a nerd, but I could hit. I made friends, but I could field. Perhaps a Jewish Richie Cunningham (with a sense of humor). Then life happened. Go figure. Still, through marriage, children, divorce, deaths, recovery, and true love, I not only survived --- but I thrived. These tales weave together a lifetime of heartfelt memories that climb to but one conclusion: that true happiness can't be bought; it comes from within. This is my story about the friends, family, and wondrous bounces that gifted my journey.

A highlight of every summer for Emory and his little sister Faye was their special annual visit to their grandmother. At Baba's house, the kids played by the streams, ate blackberries, watched deer, and ran through the woods to their heart's desire. This summer, Emory was particularly intrigued by the rumor of a magical Oaf living near Baba after discovering his dad's Ophir newspaper clippings. Emory was alert as he explored the streams and wandered through the woods. A flash of light up the hillside began the magical summer he hoped for. A voice floated through the air, the sound of wood twisting in the trees, and a glimpse of a ragged piece of cloth were the first hints of the Oaf. Baba was delighted by Emory's adventures and urged him to offer a sandwich along with a note to the mysterious being who was revealing itself for Emory. The Oaf revealed his magic with nature after Emory was mysteriously protected from a mountain lion attack. Baba finally shared her encounters with the irresistible Oaf and his ways in the woods. Tantalizing encounters ensued when Faye arrived and the Oaf slowly befriended the children. The Oaf helped them discover their own personal relationship with nature and their own innate gifts of magic with the plants, trees, and wildlife. The elusive Oaf sparks the imagination, leaving the reader wishing for more! Captivating from beginning to end, Linsteadt weaves an enchanting lyrical tale of a family's search for innocence and wisdom through their connection to nature. -Paula Peach, Teacher/Artist/Musician -Eric Peach, Author/Teacher The Oaf in Ophir rekindles the spirit of the forest for young and old to explore, trust, play and come back to time and time again. This children's story will prompt any age to grab a friend and go explore their surrounding ecosystem, one creek at a time. -Aimee Retzler, Sierra Harvest Co-Director Creating wonder for youngsters is not as easy as it may seem. To feed young and fertile minds and hold their attention with a fresh story requires not only skill but also authenticity. Dan G Linsteadt accomplishes this quite smoothly in his delightful book, Oaf in Ophir. Linsteadt's development of characters is remarkable-they come alive in just a few pages and they are bound to stay in the reader's imagination long after reading the book. The story is compelling and draws the reader along in a steady flow. It also contains an important message about our relationship with nature and its creatures. That message is folded neatly into the story without any preaching. Oh, to be a child discovering the magic of the woods and streams with the Oaf! I imagine anyone who reads this book will feel exactly that way. -John Bowman, Writer/Poet

As an educator in an urban area, I have frequently encountered females who have experienced abuse and neglect. There are many similarities in their stories: they were not believed when they first came forward, they did not get justice, and their lives were forever impacted by the experience.       I wrote The Life of the Honey Bee because it's important to share stories that highlight survival to teach and inspire the next generation.      Additionally, I wrote the story to show how generational curses and burdens can hinder and stifle people from growing and thriving in society. I hope readers can relate to the characters in the story. By God's grace this story will serve as a tool to support healing. I hope the story inspires readers to repair any fractured familial relationships, and engage in difficult conversations regarding sexual abuse.      Lastly, I hope the subject matter and content will intrigue and inspire young readers so much that they will want to read more stories. The book is short, so it won't intimidate reluctant readers. The subject matter is sensitive and of a mature nature, so it is imperative that parents read the book before letting young readers read the book.

From Lee Goldberg, #1 New York Timesbestselling author, comes the darkest, most hard-boiled work of his career...This hand-grenade of pure noir features two, never-before-published crime stories about Ray Boyd, an ex-con traveling the open road in a used, black-and-white, Ford Crown Vic Police Interceptor. Ray is the anti-Reacher. He doesn't help people in trouble. He helps himself.Fair warning, these two violent, sexually explicit stories -- Ray Boyd isn't Stupid and Occasional Risk -- mark a sharp departure from the police procedurals and fast-moving thrillers that Goldberg is known for, though they feature the same ingenious plotting, colorful characters, and outrageous wit of his best-loved work. They are, as he says in his lively introduction, a test run. If there is an enthusiastic response to the stories, he says that Ray Boyd will be back... In the meantime, Ray Boyd returns in "If I Were a Rich Man," a novella in the new collection Eight Very Bad Nights, edited by Tod Goldberg, now available in ebook and hardcover. Praise for Crown Vic "Diamond hard noir. No holds barred, no punches pulled. There's a whole lot of fun to be had. Clever stories that riff on the classics. Sharp, to-the-point, and briskly-written. More Ray Boyd please, Mr. Goldberg." CrimeTime FM "Crown Vic's stories are a marvelous mash-up of Dan J. Marlowe's early Earl Drake novels - The Name of the Game is Death, Endless Hour - and the erotic thrillers so popular in video stores during the 1990s. But Ray, even with all his failings, is a Lee Goldberg character: observant, witty, at times downright funny - for the reader at least - and a heck of a good escape for all of us drab work-a-day slobs." Gravetapping *****"A fun departure for Goldberg and a throwback to the thrilling and erotic men's adventure novels of the 1970s." Ellery Queen Mystery Magazine "And here I thought that Lee Goldberg was such a nice boy...I mean, the man wrote episodes of Diagnosis Murder! And its tie-ins! But in Crown Vic, Goldberg unleashes the beast with two violent, sexually explicit and previously unpublished stories that just reek of 1950s pulp paperbacks." The Thrilling DetectivePraise for Lee Goldberg's Books"Goldberg is a master of his craft." Library Journal"Thriller fiction at its absolute finest." Lee Child"Goldberg's thrillers are some of the wittiest around." CrimeReads"One of crime writing's true pros. Elmore Leonard and Donald Westlake would've loved this wild heist." Ace Atkins"Goldberg is every bit the equal of Michael Connelly." Providence Journal"One of America's greatest crime and thriller writers." Garry Disher"A cut above the rest." Philadelphia Inquirer""Lee Goldberg puts the pro in police procedural." Meg Gardiner"A cop novel so good it makes much of the old guard read like they're going through the motions until they can retire." Booklist"A heroine for the ages." Michael Connelly"Goldberg proves again that he is a master storyteller." Mystery & Suspense Magazine"Goldberg walks a tightrope between suspense and humor and never slips." Linwood Barclay"Goldberg's fast-paced prose should put this one on the radar of every crime-fiction fan." National Public Radio

The unprecedented movement of people in the 21st century is a central theme in mission circles. With this movement comes suffering and pain for people who must adjust to the reality of living in a new environment, away from the homeland. The experience of people in diaspora is not uniform with communities able to adapt well while others experience discrimination and social exclusion. In Canada, diaspora communities officially termed Visible Minorities bear the brunt of marginalization. As God has revealed his redemptive purpose to the nations through migration and immigration, then it is also imperative for missiologist to consider the role of diaspora marginality within His plan for the nations. This book is a missiological study of diaspora marginality. It seeks to provide a framework for understanding marginality beyond the social dimension and anchor it on the nature of the Triune God and his mission.

Buona lettura.
