Abuse, Shame and the Uncommon Journey to Freedom "I've eaten from dumpsters, and I've dined with kings; but neither is all that satisfying." In Forgiving a Good Man, Mark Goodman shares how his journey from homelessness was overshadowed by abuse and its aftermath; that is until he found freedom through the practice of forgiveness. Mark's journey began in an abusive home with his three older brothers. Mark's formative years were filled with shouting voices, flying fists, and sexual abuse behind closed doors. Life on the streets brought adventure and spiritual awakening but fresh trauma after a fateful night hitchhiking across the country. Everyone who has suffered trauma, abuse, or is struggling to overcome the emotional pain of life knows that false platitudes don't heal the hurt. Weaving its life-changing lessons alongside Mark's gripping narrative, this book offers actionable steps to discover your personal path to freedom. If you want to know how to forgive the unforgivable, this book is for you. Mark Goodman is the founder of 70x7-Path to Forgiveness, a nonprofit founded to promote the message of freedom through forgiveness. Mark's sharing of his very personal and poignant account in this book is part of a much larger campaign that includes a feature film, documentary, speaking projects, and curriculum designed to inspire people to pursue their own personal journey of forgiveness. This book documents my long and sometimes difficult journey of faith and service. It is a journey of my service to God, his Church here on earth, and to the body of Christ which includes us all. My hope is that in some small way it inspires others to never give up on their hopes and dreams no matter what difficulties they may encounter. God will oversee your journey and will be at you side every step of the way. For as the Lord told us, "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few." It's a journey of faith you will never regret. As an ordained Deacon of the Catholic Church, I wrote this book in the hope that my perseverance through adversity will inspire others to never doubt their faith and always know God is in charge and has a plan for their lives despite any disabilities that you may have.

This world is in need of hope. An assurance that the darkness we see in this present world will not triumph over all that we know is good and decent. There's an onslaught of evil being unleashed against our world that is shaking the very foundation of our Judeo-Christian value system. How will it end? Will evil take over? The book of Daniel shows us that the kingdom of darkness can only go so far, and no further, till the Ancient of Days steps onto the stage of human history, and God will have His day and His way. This book tells the story of the Jewish exile in Babylon in the sixth century BC. The last half of the book is an account of prophetic visions given to Daniel, revealing the destiny of the Jewish nation and the world, from Daniel's day till the end of the age. Ruth Waldner has been active in ministry for many years, as a Bible teacher, prayer team leader, children's ministry associate, etc. Ruth is a 1986 graduate of Rhema Bible Training Center in Tulsa, OK, and is currently a charter member of Billye Brim Bible Institute in Missouri. She and her husband make their home near Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

This memoir reflects the author's missionary notes written while assigned as a Special Assignment Missionary in Inaghi, Japan, northeast of Tokyo. Her son's engagement to a Japanese woman from Nagoya gave the author motivation to learn more about Japanese culture and why women are discriminated against in all areas of Japanese life. Being from an elite, wealthy businessman heritage whose lineage appears to go back as far as 800 A.D., the time of the Silk Road, the Japanese father revered the tradition that required the family lineage to remain 'pure Japanese' so as not to anger ancestors buried in the family cemetery plot. As a missionary, the author was conflicted and driven to uncover the Christian as well as the political history of Japan that influenced the actions of some Japanese toward gaijin (foreigners). Meanwhile, the tensions grew between the families leading to tragic consequences. Patricia Gee has been a Speech and Language Specialist treating autistic individuals for 40 years, both in the public school and in private practice. Patty has also been the christian education coordinator during those years in several churches and she served as a Christian missionary with her husband from 1996 to 1999. Patty has five children, 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She lives in Olympia, WA, on the family farm with her husband, three dogs and 15 cows.

Busy Little Izzy is such a fun read! Children and adults will enjoy the surprise and charm the story that Izzy brings to its pages. Much of Izzy's personality is reflected in the energy her Mother faces nurturing her child. This book evolved from a true story put to rhyme by Nelda Robertson. Faith's imagination brought Izzy to the page. Izzy's adventure is innocently mischievous, and parents and children alike will be taken in by her energy and how big the world seems to be at any given moment to a curious child. To tell much more about this book might risk spoiling its sweetness! Faith Robertson Schiltz is a freelance writer, speaker, Mother, Grandmother, and businesswoman. She has a background in education and art and loves a lively life. She and her husband live in a town west of Chicago. Spirited and lively, Faith has a quirky sense of humor in how she approaches life. Get ready to enjoy!

For the last two years, a good friend of mine has read the King James version of the Holy Bible to me. He read for two hours every morning. I have gotten to know quite well our Father in Heaven, His son, our Savior and, last, but never least, The Holy Spirit. I now attempt to live within this Spirit - for He is great - rather than living in this fleshly beautiful, but ruined world. And this I will convey, throughout my book, just how wonderful my life is now, compared to the first sixty-eight years or so. And, if in sharing my story with you, I can bring even one person to know and gain Faith in our Father, His Son and the wondrous Spirit, I will be very happy, indeed. I am quite sure it will bring you Joy. Susan Barnes Robbins resides in Sanford, Maine, with a long-time friend. She loves antiques of all kinds and very old (18th century) homes. She enjoys all types of music and plays the piano often. Susan is the mother of two sons and one daughter. Her daughter and two grandchildren live close by. One son resides in Pittsburgh, PA, with his family, which includes two more grandchildren. The other son lives in Maine. A lover of movies, she finds old films especially fascinating. She recalls (with a laugh) that in the 1950's she collected autographed pictures of many movie stars from that era! She doubts if that is done now! Going to antiques auctions is another hobby; one that she says sometimes really pays off! Susan very much hopes to next write a book - a fiction with action!

My book has twenty-four chapters filled with real-life situations and the humorous outcomes that occur. For example, Melinda wonders WHY car engines are rated in horse-power and not cylinder-power. Or, WHY for instance, can't Melinda wear her "Calvin Kline designer shoes" while going for a hike in the woods. These and other questions like this will be answered inside my book. Stephen Mann excelled in his eleventh grade English class where he began writing stories. An avid reader of science fiction, writers like H. G. Wells, Edgar Allen Poe, Isaac Asimov, all helped to make him the writer he is today. He also enjoys comedians, like George Carlin, Red Skelton and Milton Berle. One time at a family gathering, he flabbergasted everybody by asking his mother if she "Followed the recipe" while making the biscuits? Stephen Mann and his wife spent their early years traveling the highways and byways of New England. Visiting places like Fort Knox in Maine, Wilson Castle, in Proctor, Vermont; Perry's Nut House, in Belfast, Maine. One year for Christmas, he gave his favorite brother-in-law an unusual present. It was five foot tall, twelve inches round, and painted fire-cracker red. It looked just like a giant stick of dynamite! IT WAS PRICELESS! In the summer of 1980, they started doing their family genealogy. Where they found out that besides being married, they both had a grandmother with the same last name. He has a lot of friends who are always asking if he has any new stories yet? SUMMARY

We daily make choices that affect our lives here and into eternity. Daily we follow a path that satisfies either our fleshly desires and wants, or a path that grows us spiritually and shapes us more into the image of Jesus. Which path will you follow? What is your moral compass? This Devotional references every book of the Bible to lead you into choices that result in a successful journey. No one makes perfect choices every day. Sticks and stones get in the way at times. Sometimes boulders trip us up. And an occasional dreaded but familiar serpent slithers across our footpath. Let this Devotional help you successfully navigate your path to a perfect destination. What do you do if you aren't an author, pastor, or biblical scholar, but you hear the Lord tell you to write a Devotional? You respond quickly and get to work on it! This describes my journey on producing this Devotional. Like many of you, I am a product of years of Bible reading, church attendance and prayer. I am the person you sit next to in church, at a concert, a member of your small group, or a fellow servant in a ministry. I don't walk in perfection. But I know who does, and I purpose to follow Him as best as possible, as I am sure you do. As I enjoy doing, I urge you to start your day reading this Devotional, to whet your appetite for the prime portion in His word for you-the Bible.

The Trees and the Land of Other Waters is a fantastical tale that brings to life the majestic trees of God's land, Serenity. It is a place filled with peace and wonder, as every tree there is made perfect and is never thirsty because they are all rooted in God's waters. But one day, an ominous voice begins to threaten that peace and begins leading some of the trees away from Serenity by promising better waters, and a better life away from God. Whisper is a young tree loved by God, but struggles with loving and accepting herself the way God has made her. Will Whisper give in to the temptation of this voice and travel to the Land of Other Waters? Join Whisper on her journey as she learns how to trust God. You may find yourself quite surprised by what this little tree can teach us all. Andrea Dial is a woman on a journey with Jesus. Allowing Him to mold her into who He created her to be, has brought her through doors she never thought would be open to her. So, when God called her to write this beautiful story for Him, it was just more proof of His plans for her. Teaching her own four children the word of God always took great imagination. She now sees that same imagination displayed in this book. She enjoys reading, gardening, and spending time with her family and friends.

Many Christians believe in God but may not have answers when challenged by skeptics and by their own doubts. Nonbelievers claim that there is no scientific evidence that supports and verifies that God is real or that heaven and hell exist. T Hakanson confirms the truth of God and illuminates the legitimacy of Christianity in his book What is Truth? Using logic, scientific law, and the timeless truths of the Bible, T Hakanson justifies the rational thinker's basis for having an unshakeable belief in an Almighty God. This is a book for Christians who are being bombarded with falsehoods in a disbelieving world. This book is also for those who are searching for truth and purpose in these senseless times, when what used to be wrong is now right and what used to be right is now wrong! Readers will have their faith in God reinforced as they learn how to be prepared to face any doubt or distrust. They will understand how to align mind and spirit in order to identify God's plan for their lives. The author points to historical and biblical events to demonstrate the patterns that prove that God is always present. Turning to God, regardless of their past, will allow readers to recognize their need to be forgiven so that they can lead a holy life and have eternal life! T Hakanson is a carpenter, song writer and musician. He is a graduate of NAU in Network Management. He served honorably in the US Army and traveled extensively throughout Europe. He knows what it is to be forgiven and wrote What is Truth? while in prison for a past crime occurring in the late 1990's. He shows that God can remake any person who is willing to see their wrongs and then turn from them. Contact: joetclayton.com

Neal clinging to the rough bark of a tree, water rushing underfoot. He could recall not even an hour ago, he was with his brother Kenny. With the Lightning crackling across the sky with its thunderous booms the mighty Mississippi roared. Cold, wet, and worried about his family he clung to the tree, white-knuckled as tears streamed down his face, he questioned himself. Will he ever see them again, would he live to see another day? Born in a small rural town in the countryside of Kansas, and being the youngest of her family with three older brothers she was no stranger to dirt roads or honest work. Moving to Oklahoma in her twenties she enjoyed the country lifestyle. Raising horses, and cattle all year round, with a summertime garden. When she wasn't working or living the lifestyle, she spent time writing stories, painting, and traveling across the United States learning all kinds of history. Many people have a problem reconciling the differences found in the first chapters of Genesis of the Christian Bible with the definitive scientific proof of the origin of Life and Evolution. This book explains that there is not a conflict but a beautiful melding of the Biblical Genesis Creation and the scientifically supported Theory of Evolution. Instead of a conflict, this book explains how both Genesis and Evolution compliment each other in a beautiful manner and shows the Greatness of God, who created the Universe, the Earth, and Mankind. Wallace J. (Jack) Savoy grew up in DeQuincy, Louisiana and attended McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana, earning a BS degree in Zoology, then entered active duty with the US Army as a second lieutenant in field artillery. He married Barbara Ann, and went on to make the Army a career, serving in Vietnam (1967-68), retiring in 1986 as a lieutenant colonel. While in the Army, he earned a Master of Military Arts and Science (1978) at the US Army Command and General Staff College, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. Prior to retirement, he earned a second Masters Degree in Information Systems from Central Texas University (1986) He retired from the Army in 1986 and began a second career at the Veterans Administration Austin Automation Center (AAC.) You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives." Genesis‬ ‭50:20‬ NIV Karl died and would have been buried, But God! After he coded, he was confirmed dead for over six minutes. We prayed, we believed and we received the miracle as Karl arose from the dead. The enemy tried to shake our faith, but what he didn't know was that all his nefarious plots would have been foiled, as our faith in God grew to greater leaps and bounds. "For we know that all things shall work together for good to those who love the Lord and are called according to His purpose." (Romans 8:28) In every situation, God always has the final say. "The Story of Kings" will let you know that God is still doing what man cannot: the miraculous. God does the impossible, the incredible, the immeasurable, there is nothing that God cannot do. What He cannot do does not exist!
