The transition to renewable energy is essential for ensuring energy supply, and to mitigate environmental effects of fossil fuels, particularly climate change. However, because renewable energy resources do not provide a constant supply of energy and they are not sufficiently portable for many applications, the development of energy storage methods is necessary. This book provides an interdisciplinary analysis of the sharenting phenomena, while discussing the various stakeholders involved, e.g., the portrayed children and adolescents, (grand)parents and other family members. Sharenting, i.e. parents' disclosure of personal information related to their children on social media, is increasingly the subject of public debate. Moreover, some parents participate in influencer sharenting, where they generate revenue by featuring their children in professionalised and commercialised social media content, often in collaboration with brands. However, while sharing personal information of children has become common practice, concerns arise regarding its risks. Consequently, sharenting has been studied in several disciplines, including communication studies, psychology, marketing, criminology, law, sociology, and health sciences. This interdisciplinary approach, adopted by this book, generates several suggestions for future research, alongside practical implications for parents and policy makers. Michel Walrave is Full Professor at the Department of Communication Studies of the University of Antwerp, Belgium, and head of the research group MIOS. His research is centred on online self-disclosure and privacy. One of the topics of his research examines (grand)sharenting motives and consequences,  as well as how children and adolescents are impacted by and respond to these sharing practices.   Liselot Hudders is Associate Professor in marketing communication and ethics at Ghent University, department of Communication Sciences and director of the Center for Persuasive Communication, Belgium. Her research is dedicated to the desired and adverse effects of social media on children and young adults.Emma Beuckels is working on a FWO (research foundation Flanders) postdoctoral fellowship at the department of Communication Sciences, Ghent University, Belgium. Her research centers on the interactions of children and parents with digital media, with a specific emphasis on influencer content and its impact on their daily decision-making processes.

This book explores the use of evidence in different government ministries, and how it affects policy success and failure in Denmark. There have been many books about the doctors of the Third Reich and their atrocities. Most of these books neglect the contribution of women in the medical profession. In this book, they are the focus of attention.The first section of the book explains the background of the Third Reich in general and medicine during this period in particular. It addresses the situation of female doctors and why there were relatively few of them.It goes on to detail the forms of transgression that occurred under Nazi rule-involuntary sterilization, euthanasia, and mass murder of Jews and other groups considered undesirable.The second part of the book is a collection of 38 alphabetically arranged biographies of individual female doctors who participated in these activities. It reports on the actions they took and what happened to them after the war. The final chapter draws some conclusions, which can be briefly summarized as follows: 1) the female doctors' role remains under-researched, 2) generally speaking, female doctors were also guilty, but their transgressions generally less gruesome than those of their male colleagues, 3) many of the deeds of female doctors are nevertheless shocking.

Dominic Ongwen was abducted in 1987 when he was 8 or 9 years old  by the Lord's Resistance Army ('LRA') in Northern Uganda and trafficked as a child soldier; he made multiple unsuccessful attempts to escape, and finally succeeded in late 2014.  He turned himself into the International Criminal Court in 2015 and was prosecuted.  Mr. Ongwen's defence was that he was not responsible for the crimes of the LRA, based on his mental illnesses and duress, stemming from his abduction and subsequent coercion and indoctrination under Joseph Kony within the LRA. In February 2021, the ICC's Trial Chamber IX convicted Dominic Ongwen of 61 charges and two modes of liability and he was sentenced to 25 years incarceration.This work critiques the judicial racial and cultural biases and blindspots in the Ongwen Judgment rendered by the ICC, as related to the affirmative defences of mental disease or defect and duress and to sentencing, from the perspective of the author who served as a defence counsel in the case.BETH S.
