My 19-year-old niece Aly disappeared. Car, keys, cell phone, and laptop were abandoned at the airport. The Last Boat tells the story of Somoni, an Ijaw fisherman who lived in Old Bakana, an island community in the Niger Delta area of Nigeria. She worked as an international finance broker arranging funding for projects from high-rise offices to resorts, and lives with her family in Queensland, Australia.
