A Passion for the Living Christ: The Gospel of John, Play Scripted with Exposition, lays out the entire gospel verbatim (NRSV), with its scenes intertwined with exposition. This unique approach to a study of the Eagle's Gospel reaches out both to those who are well versed in this beloved book of the Bible, and to others who feel led to deepen their understanding of the Fourth Gospel. Both groups are encouraged to be in prayer agreement with the author of this book that we all may deepen our passion for the living Christ through the presence of the Holy Spirit. During the past half century while William Yanney has maintained a memorization of the Gospel of John (RSV), he has dramatized Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol to over 300 audiences. Motivated by his impression that both works feature a logical sequence of scenes under the control of a Narrator, he has play scripted the gospel so that a reader may visualize the episodes as a drama, indeed as the greatest nonfiction play ever written. Though not intended for theatrical production, individual scenes lend themselves to group Bible study, segments of corporate worship, and sermons. Beyond the vividness of the gospel's scenes with the Narrator's guidance, exposition of the episodes is vital to an understanding of the nuances of the Johannine writer and his selection of the scenes. Not intended as a commentary, the exposition focuses on the uniqueness of John as compared to the vocabulary and historical content of the Synoptics. The I AM sayings and signs are emphasized. In it all and through it all the purpose of the Fourth Gospel is emphasized, "e;These are written so that you may come to believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that through believing you may have life in his name."e; (20:31)

For a little girl learning about life from parents and family, the effect that the indian agent had on everyones life would not be noticed. Their life would be 'normal'. Later on that influence would be seen as a controlled environment. The closeness of family and friends and our spirituality provided the strength to endure and make a life as best we could. These stories act as a window into the joy and pain of those early years. While the stories are true I have included some childrens stories told to me by my grandparents which were used as teaching tools.

Traveling in a race car along the track of life, experience yourself living in a poem. How does it make you feel? Has it happened to you? How did you react? Did you learn something from it? Does a poem change your life?Box with "The Greatest" Muhammad Ali; Win with Tom Brady and The New England Patriots during their championship seasons; Fight with Cowboys and Indians during the 1860's; Chant Hare Krishna with the Lord; Play guitar with George Harrison and experience, Liverpool; Enjoy the pleasure of Alice Cooper.

Every Christian longs and prays for a revival. Every pastor dreams of a revival coming to his church. However the old proverb "Beware of what you pray for" is never more true when it comes to praying for a revival. Before a revival can ever come, God will take you through the fires to purify your motives. This is the story of one young pastor who experienced those cleansing fires and when revival finally came all he got was a hug from God. That hug, however, made all the tears he cried, acceptable, justified.

Lady G wrote:Chapter after wonderful chapter. You did a great job on this book. And I know one thing for sure, I will hate to see it end. All in all a fantastic book. Way to go my friend. Shaotzu wrote:I must comment on the writing. Comedic writing is often the most difficult thing an author must do. Dialogue is in the top five. Combine the two and ask an author to present comedic dialogue- it's not easy. I like the work you did here and the timing was great. Keep up the entertainment. Kromag wrote:The whole story was great, you set the tone in the first few lines. It was a fantastic bit of comedy that served to further define the characters, and it was damn funny too. Boja wrote:It has been a long time since I have read something so touching. I did not know when to cry or laugh. I wish there was an emotion to do both at the same time. What a great book!!Dark Garment wrote:Excellent in every way. Great style, reminds me of David Eggers. Great emotion, great humour. That is, I must say, one of the best stories on this site. I applaud you. Lyricl wrote:FANTASTIC!!! You have kept me quite entertained with your words. Plus, that humorous only made it all the better. Highly enjoyable. Though I've yet to read all you have written, I can guarantee you THAT will certainly only be a temporary thing for me. Simply saying, I think you happen to be extraordinarily gifted at this writing thing. I look forward to checking out more of your work. Very interesting reading all the way. Keep up the great work. THANK YOU!

It's one man's story from childhood to his mid-fifties and counting. He never went looking for adventures or answers to life but because of timing, coincidences, synchronicities, (call it what you will) that started early and have never ended, he has been blessed with a lifetime of stories and then some. He spent his first twenty years in small town Iowa before the U.S. Army decided that they had a need for him. It was February of 1968 and it proved to be a bad time to be entering the military. After a year in Vietnam he came home intact but a changed young man. He packed up a van and headed west with everything he owned. (Except for the baseball cards that his parents had already thrown away. Damn!) After joining Vietnam Veterans Against the War (John Kerry was their president) he went to D.C. and threw his medals away on the Capitol steps with a thousand or so other vets who realized that as a country, we could make mistakes and this time we had. He was thrown in jail in Denver with 78 other vets for simply trying to march, as an organization, in the Veteran's Day Parade. It was a tough time for people to stand up to their government but he felt it was important and so did many people. Those actions changed the direction of our country. "Maybe something like this" the author suggests, "is needed again today". After some bad relationships, he hit the road for 2 1/2 years without an address to call his own. He spent two fairy tale winters in Mexico and Guatemala where he explored caves, found untouched ceynotes, met many characters as well as great friends, and all the while, he compiled stories. It was then that he began journaling and has never stopped nearly 30 years later and neither have the stories. He had the most vivid dream of his life, which magically, eventually led him to his lovely bride. They have now shared the past quarter of a century together including kids, and grandkids. It's all there along with the lessons and confessions.
