"e;Once we cross this mountain, you will be free!"e;In the fall of 1963, these words stirred seventeen-year-old Elizabeth's heart as she and her guide approached the densely wooded slopes of the Alps. For so long, she dreamed of escaping the clutches of communism in Eastern Europe and fleeing to the West to pursue her dreams, but now her heart pounded with fear. Had she made the right choice? Would they make it across the border without the guards spotting them?Little did Elizabeth know this grueling trek over the mountains was only the beginning of a nightmare she would battle for years to come...or that true freedom, peace, joy, and healing would come from the most surprising, tender places.

It's All About Calvin: The Lost Pup is based on a true story about one beagle's journey as he gets lost from his human and other beagles from a pack in the middle of the summer in a hot and humid St. Louis suburb. The little thirteen inches blue tick beagle is rescued and taken to an animal shelter, where the workers name him Calvin and give him care. Calvin gets spayed and is ready for adoption, when a family of three and their black-coated retriever visit and choose him to join their family. People often say, "e;Think outside the box."e; Have you ever felt boxed in by life's circumstances or labels given by well-meaning, but horrendous people who could care less about you or your well-being or sanity? If your life were a collection of boxes you kept hidden away in your closet, what would that look like? Which one would you choose to take down today and open, setting the course for your thoughts, actions, and how you treat yourself and others? Who and what do you allow to define yourself, other than God? Filled with scripture and hilarious, heart-wrenching experiences from my own life, I'd like to encourage you to step into God's truth of who you are and toss aside the lies of the enemy. You will journey with me through years of being a military spouse, teen motherhood, depression and anxiety, raising a very angry son, and allowing other people to tell me who I am and what my life should be like, based purely on their opinions and stereotypes. The thing is, I have been through so much, and the enemy has lied repeatedly to me, and it is time to stand up, toss those boxes aside and allow God to speak into our lives and minds, renewing our minds through his word, and defining us with his truth. After all, He is the only one that has the pleasure and the right to do so.

I was introduced to a new employee; her name was Nena. I told her I liked her name and that it sounded like a song, "e;Nena the Whale."e; Luckily, she didn't take offense. I couldn't get the thought out of my head, so that evening I sat down and wrote a song, which led to a video and eventually this book. After teaching Sunday school for many years, I realized that telling stories or making up videos to show the children was the best way to capture their attention. I'd found a way to reach them beyond just going through the lesson! I was always told to stick to the curriculum, but my way was more exciting to them and got the message out in a way they could relate to and retain! I've always been an "e;out of the box"e; kind of guy and my way was working!Nena the Whale is a story that I hope can open the minds of children to understanding who Jesus is. I'm confident that this book can change lives and open their minds to a new way of learning.

Prayer is an essential part of our daily walk in Christianity. Whether you are a new Christian, or a seasoned veteran, having a prayer guide is very helpful. After reading through these wonderful prayers that Nickie has prepared in this book, I am personally going to add some to my daily routine. We don't always know what to say or how to pray. Allowing the Holy Spirit to lead us in our prayer life is always the best. Romans 8:26 tells us the Holy Spirit intercedes when we don't have the words to speak. I look forward to seeing how God uses this book to enrich the prayer life of those who use it. What a blessing this collection of prayers truly is. The world's great Christian religion has sorely misrepresented God's direct Word to all humanity. In just twenty-two succinct chapters of the Holy Bible, God Himself puts forth a peace treaty that settles all matters of Judeo-Christian theology and doctrine. God has given us His very theology and doctrine. Straight from God to each of us. From start to finish. In exacting order, having no breaks or holes in its logical flow. God Himself is our guide and teacher. Let God spare you the ignorance, the guesswork, the frustration, the heartache, the despair, the arguments and confrontations that come with every other source of theology and doctrine. Let God Himself reveal the famously promised "e;all truth"e; of Holy Writ, directly and personally to you. It's the best news you will ever read.

HEAVEN ON EARTH My great-grandson asked me to write him a story. The Holy Spirit complied. Together we wrote Three Brother Pups. The Lord told me that He is honoring my daughter with this book. The Creator of the universe is honoring my child. The Holy Spirit downloaded this book. In 1975, He told me, "e;The only way to save the world is to save the children."e; As you read Three Brother Pups, may you be blessed. God's anointing is on this work. The beautiful illustrations by the Trilogy team help adults understand the shenanigans of the pups as their child reads to them. It is a lesson in love for all the children in the world.

Rome ruled Judah in the first century, but neither party wanted the other. The book is action-packed and takes place in ancient Judah as well as in the Colosseum of downtown Rome. Along the way, they both evade and experience traumatic events as they seek out an opportunity to get their family back. They meet changers of history as they, themselves, become part of Hebrew history books.

Kim is a seasoned Christian and baby boomer. She grew up in a 300-year-old town, surrounded by history and nature, as she also lived on the backside of the Adirondack Mountain range! She naturally discovered the hobbies of the outdoors, such as fishing, hiking, skiing, and simply enjoying anything that has to do with nature. It became the obvious connection to God, which followed her into her adult life.It took years until retirement that during therapy swimming in her backyard pool, she connected the spiritual dots involving water. Her spiritual perspective took a radical turn, as discussions with God opened her eyes with her heart.Because the church has not taught enough about these personal experiences, she felt a compulsion to share these testimonies in her writings. The stories pertaining to water are only a few of the incidents with The Holy Spirits' involvement in Kim's life. She has already written a children's story involving a true to life deer story, also in her backyard, and God spoke to her during a difficult time when dealing with being handicapped. It is written from a child's perspective. The book is on the back burner for now.

Gems of Holy Spirit wisdom that reminds us of the ever-present life-enhancing and unconditional love of the Father. The love of the heavenly Father for His children that Jesus often expounded on is shown explicitly in the varying Spirit-revealed messages given. The author hopes that those who read them will feel assured of their true identity, an inheritor of the Father's Kingdom. His love more than compensates for any incorrect or lack of fathering in our individual lives. In our short, chaotic life here on earth, one can easily lose sight of that truth. Eternity is a long time in comparison. Jesus said heaven and earth shall pass away, but His word shall not pass away. Saint Paul related his experience of going to the Third Heaven and telling how no eye has seen, nor has ear heard of, the wonderful things God has in store for those who believe. My nitty-gritty opinion is that the rubber can't hit the road any closer than that.

At the age of eighty, I realized I had a lot more to say! What I had to say came out in poetic form. My first poetic musing was an appreciative refusal that may bring a tear to the eye. My other poems will make you laugh, smile, reminisce, ponder, appreciate life, and meditate on the beauty, grace, and mysteries of God. I enjoyed writing my poetic musings and found the experience to be therapeutic. I want my readers to reflect on their lives and experience the same.

What would God do through you if you really trusted Him with everything? It was not unusual for Bill to see miracles of healing, but when they brought in a man by the hand because he was blind, Bill felt a bit intimidated. He prayed for everyone else first. Then finally, there was no one else in line, so Bill prayed for the blind man. As Bill was praying, the man's eyes suddenly sparkled with life. What would God do through you if you really trusted him with everything? In 1963, William and Janice Finke saw a need in Mexico for missionaries and wholeheartedly plunged into a life sustained by faith alone. The book I'll Say Yes, authored by Holly Lura, recounts their amazing passion to share that faith. With no financial backing and a baby on the way, the Finkes learned to expect God's provision for their every need, from simple meals and clothes to airplanes and plane fuel. A walk of faith is not easy, but always an adventure, and a sense of humor always makes the rough road more pleasant. Not content to live a quiet life, William and Janice experienced supernatural healings, witnessed miracle after miracle, shared Christ with thousands in Mexico, and trained leaders around the world all with a simple response to God's call, I'll say yes.
