I dedicate this booklet to all those who love the Canadian outdoors, who appreciate our forests, our wildlife and the flora and fauna that rely on trees, marshlands and water for food and shelter. My hope is that this booklet will encourage readers to do more to help preserve what remains of our wilderness, watersheds, animals and birds. All of these appear to be dwindling as a result of widespread de-forestation and housing developments.

Want to change the world? This book shares stories and practical ways that as Christians we can help to reduce human suffering in many developing nations. It admonishes all of us, as children of God, to reduce the suffering of others, empower the poor, and take innovative actions to improve society by applying our faith and brains as well as financial resources. God anointed his Son with the Holy Spirit and power, and Jesus "went around doing good" (Acts 10:38), and we should follow his example. He didn't merely suggest that we serve the world's have-nots; He commanded us to do so. Utilizing the best and most impactful solutions that exist, in this book I draw on the labors-of-love carried out by many U.S. Christians to offer the world's poor not merely a handout, but an empowering hand-up. The book inspires readers with amazing stories of washing the feet of lepers in India, aiding earthquake victims in Haiti, using microloans to help the Native American poor as Jesus would do, and laboring to assist survivors in rebuilding after the horrific Asian tsunami crisis, plus much more.

I have known Shirley for many years, as I was her pastor for while serving in the United Methodist Church. Shirley brings forth not only beauty through the photos, but her use of the Holy Scriptures to open to the reader the true understandings of Pentecost and the Resurrection of Jesus.I highly recommend all her devotionals; they will draw you closer to God through the Word. They will open you to the beauty of creation by the Creator of the Universe.- Rev. Patti Molik United Methodist Elder of Upper New York Annual ConferenceShirley's wonderful compilation of prayer, Scripture, photography, and devotional reflections, contained in "His Eye Is On the Sparrow," provided me with a greater respect of the interdependence between humanity and creation and the way in which God's presence sustains and maintains the fragile balance between the two. This inspiring devotional highlights insightful lessons to each of us through the life of various birds God has gifted to this world. I know I will look at birds differently from now on.- Rev. Penny Brink Elder, Upper New York Annual Conference United Methodist ChurchI am often asked to write an endorsement or a forward for a new book, but this time, I begin this endorsement with a "feeling of excitement." I absolutely loved the idea of linking nature to a devotional. Nature has always been inspiring to me, and I often talk to God as I walk through the beauty of God's creation around me. How can you possibly see the beauty and wonder of our planet and our universe without being inspired by the God who made it?So, when I looked at even the very idea of this manuscript I was inspired. I read the book and then I sat down to write this. I first took a walk through the wonder and beauty of God's creation around me. As always, I can not walk through the trees or along a creek or stream without being inspired. Therefore, as I write these words I am inspired not only by this book, but my last encounter with nature. As I read the pages, I met an author who through the beauty of her writings has linked nature and Divine inspiration and truly inspired me. Just to think about nature and talking to God brings inspiration to my whole being. So, with anticipation and great emotion, I endorse FAITH for an UPSIDE-DOWN WORLD by Shirley D. Andrews. As I looked at the beautiful pictures I saw nature, but I also felt the hand of God. As I read the words of this manuscript, I knew that this author would introduce me to God, because like the artist inside me, I would feel and experience God by what I was about to read, and I did. Thank you, Shirley for introducing me again to the God who spoke nature into existence. You must experience this book and see the God who not only has his eye on the sparrow, but made the sparrow. Shirley, you will truly inspire the world.- Dr. Thomas F. Reid

He covers the Biblical accounts of Lucifer's long life before Genesis. His unique look into Genesis One, is only, he claims, not widely-accepted because hardly anyone has seen it. He doesn't avoid controversies, but takes them head-on in great detail. He asks questions Young Earth Creationists, GapTheory proponents and Progressive Creationists (Day-Agers) haven't seen before! He believes once all of the facts are seen, many will agree: "Genesis One is a local creation."

Have you ever wondered how people knew they were called into ministry? Matthew 28:19-20 New King James Version (NKJV) "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." That may seem strange for someone that has never been introduced to ministry work and may leave a lot of questions unanswered.

GOD IS SUPREME, so far above us, that He must humble Himself to look upon the things that are in the earth, which may be understandable, however, He must also humble Himself before He can even behold the things that are in heaven! Our ultimate end goal is to be able to live in heaven for all of eternity, with the Father and with the Son! This hope of our desired eternal home is the place of our final rest in eternal comfort, joy and peace in His presence for our resurrected and glorified spiritual bodies! The God we worship is far greater than any of us can possibly even imagine! We sing the song "How great thou art," however, the word "great," or "awesome," or any other word, is very much inadequate and far beneath our being able to describe the glory of God, because His glory is inconceivable to the human mind!God is above all, -- far above all! Before all,-- far before all! Encompassing all and possessing all, of everything! God is omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, all encompassing, all knowing, all powerful and answers all our concerns! He is transcendent, in that He is un-created, has always existed, is eternal and is far above His creation, He is the epitome of all perfection, righteousness, purity, holiness, peace and joy! God is all in all! There is none other like Him, nor will there ever be!The love of God is simply God's nature!! If we would desire to have fellowship with God, we must do so within the parameters of the nature of God, being "partakers of the Divine Nature," which is the expression of God's pure love, which relationship has been promised to us!Jesus Christ went through the exact same things we are going through, on this earth, yet He, through the power of the Holy Spirit, overcame the world and being made perfect, "as a man," He was fully qualified to die for each one of us, taking our sins upon Himself, paying for those sins, with His blood, fulfilling the law that says "sin must die!" He endured the terrible suffering of the cruel physical pain of the cross and the horrible agony of one being temporarily, spiritually separated from God the Father, when He took our sins upon Himself, for God cannot look upon sin! Christ, unselfishly took all of that horrific terror and pain of our sin, upon Himself, all because of His deep love for each one of us!Christ, our High Priest, is the ultimate and supreme example for us to live our lives by! However, we, within the confines of our earthly minds, are not fully able to attain to His perfection! However, through the blood of Jesus Christ, "if" we have the "boldness" to enter in to the "Holiest," we may then fully be able to be partakers of God's Holy Spirit, which will and does lead us into our being able to be conformed to Christ's image! This personal presence with God, can be attained by our being silent before God, waiting on Him, in humble prayer!Do you have the "faith" and the "boldness" to enter into God's presence?
