  • - Remembering the Hope That Jesus's Footprints Bring Amid the Gaps
    av Hailey Brianna
    256,-

Consider Moses the nomad and David the shepherd or perhaps Mary the alabaster seeker and Zacchaeus, the tax-collecting tree climber. Scripture is rich with broken and ordinary people who chose to follow Jesus even in the midst of less than ideal circumstances. The Bible is overflowing with disciples who chose Jesus through the Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays of their lives. When following Jesus there are seasons abundant in victories, but there are also seasons heavy with doubt and despair. An Ordinary Saturday is full of mistakes made and lessons learned by one of God's beloved daughters, all centered on Scripture to show that although we are broken, He makes us whole. Author Hailey Brianna made a lot of wrong turns but always ended up exactly where she needed to be because of God's grace and provision. There will always be moments in our lives when we're asked to wait on God in the desert. The question is, how do we respond when facing the gap between where we are and where we want to be? When all hope seems to wither, we must remember we worship the Giver of Hope, Jesus Christ. An Ordinary Saturday is an inspiring book that reminds readers to choose Jesus always and hold on to the hope God provides. During your walk with God, Sunday always comes, but that does not mean the rest of our days are wasted.

  • - The Recovery of My Brokenness
    av Carmen S Seguinot Matos
    306,-

Have you ever wondered who you are and why you're here? There are many who question who they are in the world, thrown into a whirlwind of confusion without warning. Carmen Seguinot Matos was one of those people who questioned her identity with good reason. We are born. We live our lives based on what is given to us starting from birth through to adulthood. It could be prosperous, good, fair, bad, or horrible. If you think about the great uncertainty that surrounds us when we are born, you must admit there should be a manual to guide newborns into a successful life. Our parents should have a goal for us that will lead to victory. It's a good thing there is such a manual: the Bible, God's infinite Word. The goal all parents should have is for their children to have hearts for Jesus and live victorious lives into adulthood. God uses a variety of different ways to help us become strong, vital servants of Jesus Christ. Instead of shrinking back in the face of the struggles and challenges of this world, let's look up to the Lord and seek His strength, plan, and purpose. Come and let Carmen tell you a little bit about herself; you may have more in common than you would have imagined.

I calmly looked at him with respect, I tried very hard not to show any fear, and replied, "Oh sorry, we were just laughing about something my friend had just said. No harm intended." Instantly the angry young man who was ready to rip me out of the car changed facial expression to almost a smile, and said, "No problem. Have a good day!" My friend Dave turned to me, looking shocked and relieved exclaiming, "How on earth did you get out of that That was amazing!" Learning and practicing to keep calm under pressure has kept me from taking unwise actions or making rash decisions. Little did I know that practicing such peaceful responses would also help provide a platform for developing wisdom. What Readers are Saying about "Wisdom Brings Success" "Dr. Brendan has written one of the best books on wisdom that I have ever read. Whoever pursues righteousness and love finds life, prosperity, and honor. Jesus made us able to reign in life. In Him, we have become the righteousness of God. It is time for Christians to understand their right-standing relationship with the Father. Righteousness is a free gift of God provided by Jesus Christ at Calvary through the grace of God. It simply means being in the right standing with God. This does not refer to your good work or pious look but to God's righteousness. The kingdom of God is a kingdom of righteousness. It simply means being in the right standing with God. This does not refer to your good work or pious look but to God's righteousness. The kingdom of God is a kingdom of righteousness. Romans 14:17 says "For the kingdom of God, is not meat and drink, but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost". It's awesome to be conscious of your righteousness in Christ Jesus, that is God- conscious. Our actions inevitably fall in place as we behold this wonderful truth and continually renew our minds to be transformed with His word. Our true identity in Christ and victorious life are solely dependent on Christ's finished work and waking in the light.

Jonah is one of the better known prophets of the Old Testament, but he is not generally well known for his prayers; he is well known, however, for his disobedience to the calling of God and the resulting three days and nights in the belly of a great fish. It was this judgment and it's impact on Jonah that prompted this book on Jonah's prayers. Prayer is an important part of the Christian life and through his unique circumstances the prayers of Jonah offer us some insight into prayer and it's purpose in a believer's life.

A Third of the Submarines in the Sea Died - Wormwood is a nonfiction book written by Johan Andreas Rautenbach. Johan believes that some of the initial signs of Jesus' return to take us home have passed. In this book, he discusses the three trumpets blown by angels and why he believes the numerous historical events Christell Lindeque mentioned in this book are related to the end of days. The author crafts the historical events in a manner that captures the reader's attention and includes photographs taken during some of the historical events, such as war trenches and a starving child in South Africa. As a South African, I was captivated by the fact that this book was written by a fellow South African, which was one reason I chose to read it. Although war is not my preferred reading material, history is, and the author's writing style was so effective at capturing my interest that I wouldn't mind reading another of his books. This book discusses numerous events, including World War I, World War II, and the Anglo-Boer War, as well as numerous other conflicts, Chernobyl, and pandemics.I appreciate the author's attention to historical events and the fact that he provides just enough information to keep the reader interested while avoiding boredom. The inclusion of photographs for each event enhances the realism of these historical moments for the reader and was essential for establishing their veracity. Particularly enthralling was the section about General Allenby, but I fear revealing too much by being more specific.I give this book 5 out of 5 stars because there was nothing I disliked about it. The inclusion of photographs of the historical events described in the book captivated my interest. I also believe the book has been edited by a professional, as I discovered only a few errors.I recommend this work to Christians who are fascinated by the connection between biblical prophecies and actual historical events. I also recommend this book to all Christians because I found its theory to be intriguing.

Why? A Study of the Book of Habakkuk looks into the many questions humankind has concerning personal events as well as the events happening in the world of the past, present and future. Why? explores the mysterious works of the Lord in comparison to how humankind may see their own circumstances and their own questions about why the Lord does or does not always intervene to correct or judge. It takes a look into the unchanging nature of God and the faith one must have to push through day-to-day life while still questioning all that takes place in the world around us. Why? attempts to lead the reader into a more personal relationship with the Lord while trusting His ways and actions in times of illness, death, or other times of despair.
