Continuing as a trader and educator in the stock, commodity and bond markets, Wyckoff was curious about the logic behind market action. Through conversations, interviews and research of the successful traders of his time, Wyckoff augmented and documented the methodology he traded and taught. Wyckoff worked with and studied them all, himself, Jesse Livermore, E. H. Harriman, James R. Keene, Otto Kahn, J.P. Morgan, and many other large operators of the day. Wyckoff implemented his methods outlined in this book, in the financial markets, and grew his account to such a magnitude that he eventually owned nine and a half acres and a mansion next door to the General Motors'' Industrialist, Alfred Sloan''s Estate, in Great Neck, New York (Hamptons). As Wyckoff became wealthier, he also became altruistic about the public''s Wall Street experience. He turned his attention and passion to education, teaching, and in publishing exposés such as "Bucket shops and How to Avoid Them", which were run in New York''s The Saturday Evening Post.

The Metamorphosis (German: Die Verwandlung) is a novella by Franz Kafka. It is often cited as one of the seminal works of short fiction of the 20th century and is widely studied in colleges and universities across the western world. The story begins with a traveling salesman, Gregor Samsa, waking to find himself transformed into an insect.Critics have interpreted Kafka's works in the context of a variety of literary schools, such as modernism, magical realism, and so on. The apparent hopelessness and absurdity that seem to permeate his works are considered emblematic of existentialism. Others have tried to locate a Marxist influence in his satirization of bureaucracy in pieces such as In the Penal Colony, The Trial, and The Castle, whereas others point to anarchism as an inspiration for Kafka's anti-bureaucratic viewpoint. Still others have interpreted his works through the lens of Judaism, through Freudianism, or as allegories of a metaphysical quest for God. Themes of alienation and persecution are repeatedly emphasized. Biographers have said that it was common for Kafka to read chapters of the books he was working on to his closest friends, and that those readings usually concentrated on the humorous side of his prose. Milan Kundera refers to the essentially surrealist humour of Kafka as a main predecessor of later artists such as Federico Fellini, Gabriel García Márquez, Carlos Fuentes and Salman Rushdie. For García Márquez, it was as he said the reading of Kafka's The Metamorphosis that showed him "that it was possible to write in a different way."

av Steve Burns & Janna Burns

"Trading is not the path to free money; profits must be earned through homework, discipline, courage, patience, and perseverance in the markets." - Rich Trader In contrast to its precursor, "New Trader, Rich Trader", where New Trader struggled with basic issues such as development of a positive expectancy method, position sizing as well as determining which assets to trade; in this manuscript all those issues have been resolved and so at the book's inception one might imagine New Trader would simply be relating his successes to Rich Trader. As anyone who has successfully transitioned from "New Trader" to "Rich Trader" can attest, this is not the case and our authors brilliantly navigate New Trader's journey from knowing how to trade "in theory" towards flawless implementation of his positive expectancy model despite draw downs, missed opportunities, price shock events, and so on. As in all of Steve's books, I am consistently amazed at how despite his obvious mastery of our business he can recall with intimate detail what it was like to make the full gamut of "New Trader" mistakes. "New Trader, Rich Trader 2" will have New Traders reaching for their highlighters while Rich Traders smile knowingly at distance memories of painful missteps. Wherever you are in the journey from New to Rich Trader, this book is an indispensable tool filled with lots of "Aha" moments. To Steve and Janna, congratulations on a job well done, to all the New Traders reading this, pat yourself on the back for having found an indispensable aid in your journey from novice to pro.Richard L. • av Solomon Northup
    296,-

The story takes place in Yukon Territory, Canada, during the Klondike Gold Rush at the end of the 19th-century, and details a wild wolfdog''s journey to domestication. Much of the novel is written from the view-point of his canine character, enabling London to explore how animals view their world and how they view humans. White Fang examines the violent world of wild animals and the equally violent world of humans. The book also explores complex themes including morality and redemption.Jack London was the most successful writer in America in the early twentieth century. He advocates Socialism and Darwinism in his works. His stories of men and women struggling for survival against the overwhelming power of nature are drawn mostly from his own life. His experiences at sea and during the Klondike gold-rush inspired his best-known works The Sea-Wolf, The Call of the Wild, and White Fang.
