Lucas, a young boy diagnosed with Stickler syndrome, infantile glaucoma, and severe myopia, has faced numerous challenges throughout his life. He has undergone more than thirty eye surgeries and has had hundreds of hospital visits. Lucas is blind in his left eye due to a retinal detachment and can only see out of his right eye, which has had many surgeries. Despite these obstacles, Lucas remains positive, resilient, and passionate about go-karts, tractors, farming and penguins. His journey has inspired his family to write a children's book, attend conferences, set up support groups, and advocate for better eye checks for newborns. Lucas's kind and caring nature and determination are a testament to his strength. He has a bright future ahead, and his family is grateful for the support they have received.

This collection of Poems/Songs were written between 1998 and 2024 with most coming from 2008 onwards when I moved to Christchurch. This was a time in my life when I had to do some really hard yards and had a lot of very difficult times which I would like to personally thank my friends, family and the nurses at the local psychiatric hospitals for getting me through. In 2021 I started to attend my local Church and my life began to change exponentially. Praise God!

This memoir has several subjects from me injuring depression over many years and how God bought me through all that. Its my life story from when I was a young boy being physically fed and spiritually led by learning the Lords prayer and making a commitment to Christ, through Godly influence on my Father and my Mothers side of the family. This book talks about when I was young, my struggles and successes along the journey of life, some of my achievements and low points and how to overcome them. It explains some of the people I met through my life and how God used those people influences to better my life for God. It also has numerous stories and poems that I was later inspired to write that will hopefully inspire and encourage others and make people happy by the words in this book by the grace of God.

Eli must then summon all the strength and courage to stay afloat.

This is a book filled with poetry created from feelings and memories. It in a way is fabricated, the words used that make these feelings seem pretty hide truths of the reality of these things. They make our pain look kind and easy, and our love looks simple and small, but these poems hide truths's can you find them? Some of these poems might hurt your heart or heal your soul, but I wonder if you readers will be able to find yourself in these. I hope these poems reach you the way they reached me as I typed them.
