The subjects are among the most controversial, maligned and misused topics in the Bible. the content is written in a concise, down to earth style for the average person in the pew. At times it is provocative, sometimes even questioning God. This book hopefully answers many of your nagging doubts and inspires you to keep reading and using the Bible, as a source of great serenity and spiritual fulfillment. I am retired from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. I am a Certified Lay Servant in the United Methodist Church.; a position I have held seen 1988. I have done everything from preaching, leading Bible Study to making the coffee and generally just helped out and supported the church in local, district and conference venues. Presently, I am the Recording Secretary for the United Methodist Men of the New York Annual Conference.I have been married to my wife, Theresa, a truly dedicated Christian woman, since 1983 and we have two adult sons. I'm looking forward to getting back to gardening and crossword puzzles.

Every church has a main event where the church gathers to worship. It is possible to create experiences so good that your congregation will hate to miss them. These experiences draw people in, building on biblical truth that results in transformed lives. The Main Event provides a step-by-step guide to creating services that connect deeply with people and result in changed lives. Andy grew up in northern British Columbia, Canada. Andy has 30 years of pastoral experience, serving mostly smaller rural churches, in Alberta and British Columbia. Andy enjoys the hunt of adding to his growing Coke collection. As a solo pastor, Andy has prepared many worship experiences. He has worked hard to make the experience both fun and transformational for everyone involved. His greatest joy is continuing to serve the local church as a transition pastor and coach to pastors and churches (www.elevatecoaching-consulting.com). To hear more from Andy, check out his weekly blog on leadership and church ministry (www.elevatewithandy.ca).

Some things stay frozen in time. Memories. Histories. Even murder. Newly-promoted Florida state police investigator, Veronica Fox, enjoys the challenge of her new job investigating her department's ages-old, unsolved "cold cases," many of which go decades back, with little to no evidence, but a great deal of mystery. When she receives a case call from a woman named Chloe Avery, whose college professor father was murdered thirty-five years earlier, in a case that remains unsolved and is so cold it's practically frozen in ice, Veronica and her partner, Rex Jenkins, are thrown into a wild hunt for evidence to apprehend a prime suspect, as other victims, with eerily similar murders, are found along the search. In author Luke King's fast-paced detective novel, Frozen Justice, readers are taken on a race against time for disappearing clues and deteriorating evidence, always pressing toward the ever-crucial goal of confirming Investigators Fox and Jenkins' suspect suspicions. Their journey must stop a serial killer's nearly four-decade-long spree, putting a vicious criminal behind bars forever. But can they find enough evidence in time to unfreeze the case and bring the victims' justice? Luke King was born New York City. Growing up, he was fascinated with mysteries and detective stories. He has been a United States Marine and a Florida police officer. King currently lives in Florida with his family, who infuse his life with humor and inspiration. Frozen Justice is his first novel.

Once someone is saved by God's grace through faith in Jesus Christ, how are they able to make theological decisions about what they believe as a Christian? How can Christians have assurance and security of their salvation, and by what beliefs and principles should they choose to live their lives? The answers to these questions and many more depend on a strong understanding of God's Word and knowledge of the specific theological systems that best represent God's message in the Bible. In his enlightening and informative guide, Salvation and Christian Theology: A Comparison of Protestant Theological Systems, author Jack K. Mayfield gives readers a detailed comparison of the characteristics of a variety of Protestant Christian theological systems, including each system's views on human redemption. First conceptualized during the author's seminary studies as a resourceful handbook for Christians struggling to understand historical church theologians/theology, Mayfield designed this guide with the goal of aiding Christians in choosing the theological system that best matches their beliefs. The text covers numerous theologies, including Calvinism, Lutheranism, Arminian, Wesleyan, and Free Grace systems, and includes useful supplemental tools to aid the readers' study, including a glossary of theological terms, charted breakdowns of various theological systems, and an extensive list of theological concepts found in specific Scriptures, with over 3,400 footnotes to support Mayfield's research. The author's goal is to give Christians a better foundation for finding a theological home for their beliefs, which in turn will influence their Christian mission and lifestyles choices. Jack Kendall Mayfield, BA/MD (Indiana University), MS (Medical College of Wisconsin), MDiv (Western Conservative Baptist/Phoenix Seminary) is a retired scientist, physician and orthopedic surgeon. He was a Captain in the USAF and later was the medical director of NEED International, an evangelistic organization that developed Christian schools and provided Christian education in India and medical education in Vietnam. His evangelistic and medical mission efforts were focused in Da Nang and Hanoi, Vietnam. He also served on short-term medical missions in Ecuador, St. Lucia, Russia, and the Amazon in Brazil. He has been a guest lecturer in Phoenix, Arizona on world religions, bioethics and apologetics at Southwestern College and on bioethics, apologetics and science at Phoenix Seminary. He has also been a guest lecturer on apologetics and science at Grace School of Theology, Houston, Texas. Sure, everyone has a story to tell so let me share my truth. A TRUTH that has opened me up and allowed me to begin to heal. A truth that has made me face my demons, yet a truth that God is allowing me to share so that you too can allow your truth to set you free as mine have. Just what is it about the truth many do not like facing? I've learned that ONLY the truth will set you free no matter how ugly it is. It then not only becomes the truth but the UGLY truth which brings about the freedom we all so rightfully deserve and a conscience-free life. One should never be ashamed about what they've been through. Life has not always dealt us a fair hand. We take what we have been through to help others to get through in life. BE FREE! Emily, a 47-year-old North Carolina native, a survivor, an overcomer, wife, mother, now grandmother of five adorable grandchildren brings to you a very powerful memoir of her own TRUTH. Emily enjoys traveling, writing, singing, dancing, bowling, hiking mountains, and spending time with family. Emily has been inspired to write her second book by seeing and realizing how many people go around on a day-to-day basis hiding behind scars that eventually destroy them if not healed from them. Emily was once that person so writing this book not only has helped her to heal, but her prayer is that it will help others to no longer hide behind their scars, heal, and live within their truth as well.

There is considerable debate related to the Rapture of the Bride of Christ. Will Jesus catch-up His Bride prior to the beginning of the Tribulation, or will the Bride endure the Tribulation and be punished with the world to be purified and tested? God has two purposes for the Tribulation Period: Instruct Israel and the world and punish Israel and the world. In addition, to discussing the Prewrath and Pretrib positions, this book will provide information to answer the main driving question in this book: "How did we get here from there?" One position is rooted in speculation, flawed hermeneutical systems, and results in heresy; the other is founded on two principles of absolute truth that are found in Genesis Chapter 18 and First Timothy 5:8. The reader is encouraged to appeal to the Holy Spirit to reveal which one is the truth and which one is not. Dr. Rickman is a stripper's son and was taught every dysfunctional habit a mother could teach her son. Through God's help, he overcame many obstacles which have been detailed in his book The Stripper's Son. Dr. Rickman takes no credit as he fully knows that God performed the work and deserves the credit. All praise and glory must go to the Lord. Dr. Rickman possesses three degrees from accredited universities, has pastored four churches, and is currently a missionary to Thailand. Dr. Rickman has authored more than 20 books publishing three and has been working as a freelance editor for the Buriram University in Buriram, Thailand. While there are no experts in the field of theology specifically eschatology, Dr. Rickman labored for just under five years to produce this work hoping to expose error and teach truth related to the Pretribulational Rapture of the church.

GG was once a girl! Can you believe it? She climbed trees, beat up boys and even her sister. Teachers wrote on her report card, "behavior needs to improve." The doctor paid her to stop screaming. GG had another name then. Walking to school, she dodged big tumbleweeds, prairie dog holes and deep snow. Her grandmother made a house of grass and dirt. There was no bathroom and no electricity. In the middle of Nebraska, in the middle of the United States, almost 100 years ago, GG was a girl called Caroline Mae.

This book is a book of HOPE. It is for the one that may think only bad things happen to them. This book is for the one who is looking for HOPE in the rough times. It is also for those with "good lives." And those who struggle. This book is for you. This is a book about the ups and downs of my life and how I made it through it all. For the most part Keeping a positive attitude was the reason I was able to cope. I mean keeping the main three words in your mind; I can, I will, I am. Put these words in front of anything you're trying to do. Ex: I will beat this cancer. We've all had great times in our lives and rough times. During the rough times I added God to my positive words. I've experienced enough downs that it kept bringing me closer to God through his word. I would read verses in the Bible that helped me through whatever tragedy I was dealing with. The only. This is a book of Hope. I would look at pictures of my children and grandchildren to remind me to continue going. I would go to California to visit my grandchildren and went to the beach a lot. I would watch and stare at the waves rolling in and out. Some waves were huge and lasted long and others were shorter and crumbled quickly. The waves would remind me of my life. Sometimes my life was up and stable for a long time. These were the good times. The next time short and messy or crumbly which reminded me of the rough times. Although it may seem like everything around me was bad, it wasn't. I would like you to know by keeping a positive attitude and never giving up you can survive anything. Remember every day you wake up it is a chance to Ride the Waves of God. Joyce Creighton is a senior Christian woman who grew up in the Midwest state of Illinois. Joyce enjoys helping others that need help to do things like cooking, going to store, etc. She has two beautiful children and two beautiful grandchildren. This allows Joyce to get to California quite a bit because that is where they live. Joyce enjoys helping people and particularly seniors; by cooking for them, taking them to the store or doctor appointments. Her heart is helping seniors. Joyce's hobbies include bible study, doing puzzles of all kinds to keep my mind fresh. Joyce enjoyed writing this book.

Life is a string of everyday memories, collected and strung together like a necklace of fine pearls. From Sunrise to Sunset, we make memories that are stored in the intricate corners of the beautiful minds which God gave us. When we take those remnants of thoughts and connect them with carefully selected scriptures, it builds new spiritual memories not easily forgotten. Inside the inspiring pages of her twenty-one day devotional and journal, "MAKE A MEMORY EVERY DAY" Volume 1: God's Word Changes Your Life, author Jerilyn Pallesi Von Flue pulls you in, as a reader, with her own favorite "fine pearl" memories, combining them with powerful passages of Scripture, all to make a lasting impression on your minds. In addition, these entries encourage you as a reader to make your own new memories from this devotional. Each daily devotional also includes a "Take Time to Pray" and "Challenge" section to better initiate you in your journey to become more personally in tune with God, cultivate a stronger relationship with Him, and flex your "memory muscles" by taking the challenge to memorize the daily scriptures, then journal your own thoughts for further meditation. Jerilyn created this book from God's spiritual seeds that were planted in her life as a small child, and now harvested as an adult. Sharing memories from the heart in this book might seem a difficult task, but God can and will do for you, the same thing He has done for her. If talking to you personally, she would tell you it takes your trust and obedience, love, faith, courage and being intentional to follow him......

"Now when they saw the boldness and unfettered eloquence of Peter and John and perceived that they were unlearned and untrained in the schools (common men with no educational advantages), they marveled; and they recognized that they had been with Jesus," (Acts 4:13). Upon a close study of the verse above, and countless others like it found in the Bible, you can clearly see that the Bible is full of what author Doug Johnson likes to call the "Barnyard Gospel." In Scripture, Jesus taught with and used very simple examples and parables, often using such things as rocks, trees, rivers, fields, seeds, in addition to all sorts of animals -- from sheep, lambs, wolves, snakes, birds, and even donkeys - to speak about God's kingdom. If God used a donkey to send us a message, then He can certainly use us to speak through too! In his profound memoir, GOD'S in the People Changing Business, author and pastor Doug Johnson gives readers his special brand of colloquial and spiritual experiences. Johnson provides a conversational, layman's biblical analysis and commentary, supported by the lessons learned from his own life's story as a self-proclaimed, hardworking "redneck." In these enlightening and light-hearted pages, the author also gives readers ample evidence (along with a good dose of old-fashioned country wit and humor!) of the truth behind his powerful theme that "God is in the people-changing business." Formerly living a "non-spiritual" life, and not having attended church for his first thirty-seven years, God planted a seed in Johnson's heart, harvesting him as a pastor into a changed life for Christ. The stories found inside will encourage, inspire, and help show readers that what God has done in the author's life, He can do for everyone. For He truly is the ultimate General Manager in the people-changing business.

The Steward of speech is "the" book, like no other, that will lead the readers into a "recovery of speech." Most do not realize that the enemy has you bound by your very own words. You have been speaking words that are pleasing to him, he has corrupted your speech. He knows he can blame you, after all that would be your "testimony." You must realize that your words are powerful, creative, and restorative. You have been given the divine gift of speech in the image of your creator. He framed the entire universe with words. If you only knew the damage you have caused yourself, your loved ones, and others by your words you would turn it around. This book will reveal to you how to recover your divine gift. It did it for me, and it will do it for you. Wendell Wayne Gilkey is an author of Christian books having to do with the breaking of generational curses, words of wisdom, prophetic dreams, and a special prayer workbook/reference manual with prayers, many of which were given by the Holy Spirit to edify and protect the saints. He resides in Fredericksburg, Texas. He has two wonderful children. A son residing in Las Vegas, Nevada, and a daughter residing in Bountiful, Utah. He has ten beautiful grandchildren and two great grandchildren which he greatly cherishes. Wendell is a minister, author, and teacher having the gift of simplifying concepts and reaching people through the written word.

James 5: 16 says, 'The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." So, why is it Christians do not pray? Is it because they do not know the right words to say or they do not have enough time? Is it because they feel their prayers are not answered? Powerful Prayers, New Testament Edition is a tool to help put all these excuses to rest. Walk with us through the Bible reading prayers that will help you maneuver through some of the experiences you may have faced in life. Prayer is personal and powerful. When prayer is presented, it will be answered. God has guaranteed it. The power is not in the words. The power is in the One to whom we pray. As believers we should pray without ceasing. Unfortunately, prayer has become the stepchild of the Christian faith when it should be the foundation. As believers, we must understand how critical the daily discipline of prayer is to living a saved, satisfied and secure life. Teron V. Gaddis, founder of Praying for our Pastors Fellowship, is the current pastor of Greater Bethel Church in Oklahoma City, OK. Pastor G has been preaching for 39 years and pastoring one church for 30 years. He is married to Janice for thirty-six years and they have 5 children and 12 grandchildren. He also mentors young preachers helping them develop their love for the Word of God. Jesus said, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God." He also taught us to pray, "Give us this day our daily bread." Oftentimes bread is available to us and in our possession, but we can't decide what to eat. Bible reading can sometimes be like that. Our appetites constantly change, and we need and enjoy variety in our spiritual diet. In I'm Trying to Help Somebody, Rodrick A. Smith wants to provide a balanced diet of daily spiritual nourishment. These daily devotions serve as a source of encouragement, inspiration, warning, and rebuke; that's the variety. They are expositional, practical, and portable. One devotional is written from each chapter of John's gospel through the book of Revelation. Prayerfully read and be helped. I'm Trying to Help Somebody is an inspiring read for Bible enthusiasts on every level. To have these carefully written notes is valuable to the shelves of every Christian's library. This book is written to bring people into the reality that there is a God, who created them, who loves them, and who has a Divine Purpose and Plan for their lives. It brings Biblical truths to people in practical ways so they can apply them to their lives. This book will help to set people free from Satan's lies and deceptions. When the truth of God's Word gets into their minds and hearts, the lies will be destroyed. God's Word is Truth. God is the Author of Truth. There is no truth outside of God. This book will relate many miracles, signs and wonders that occurred during my mission trips. It will show Christians that they have the authority of Jesus Christ and the Power of Holy Spirit to stand against the devils, demons, and Satan himself. Through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, we can fight the good fight of faith and have the Victory, in Jesus Name. Amen! About the Author Jesus became my Savior in 1984 and my Lord in 1996. God sent me on two mission trips with Marilyn Hickey Ministries to China and to Africa. Then He called me to go to Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Venezuela, and Columbia to do crusades, preach in churches, seminars, conferences, camp meetings, and on radio and TV in Kenya and on local TV. Miracles, signs, and wonders followed me, as I preached the Word of God. Salvations, deliverances, and healings happened, all the time, as Holy Spirit moved in me and through me to touch and change people's lives.

God is calling you to become His servant to change the destiny of the world. This book will show you how. There is a Man - Who knows what you're feeling. There is a Prince - Who offers His Peace. There is a King - Who came as a Servant to this world. There's a Life and a Love that cannot cease. There is a NAME! Jesus is LORD! "Those who wish to serve will be inspired by visions so right and beautiful. Those who are serving now will sense the gentle guidance to do it right and well. Those who have served and find themselves depleted and exhausted, will find understanding, restorative friends guiding them back to the joy of delighting in, and serving the One who fulfilled all righteousness." Hyunmee Lee, Pianist, Mother, Music Minister, many of whose recordings and PDFs are attached in Appendix 1 "The Heart of A Servant encapsulates the very best of David and Ellen's life's teaching. This volume, however, is more than a mere compendium of ideas. With the aid of Gary Parrett's catechetical hymns and musical accompaniments, the reader will discover many of the insights found in these pages modulated into worship! This book is a primer on how sound theology can and should lead to doxology. It is a tour de force of spiritual theology and Christian practice." Chris Chun, Professor of Church History and Director of Jonathan Edwards Center at Gateway Seminary near Los Angeles, California David and Ellen Ross have more than sixty years of missionary experience. Their multi-cultural ministry includes teaching and writing, mentoring long-term missionaries, and working for reconciliation between North and South Korea for the sake of world evangelization. They have three children and seven grandchildren. Gary and Holly Parrett have ministered together for many years, often with the gift of music. Gary has written hundreds of hymns and songs and has co-authored several books and a hymnal. They have one adult daughter, Alisa, who has prepared the YouTube links for the songs in this book.

This Book is written to give you confidence in God's promises, and help you understand what kind of stock the LORD bought. You do not belong to yourself. You were given away by your elder brother-Adam. He'd given his authority and inheritance away to Satan by being disobedient to God, without even knowing it. Therefore, while in the genealogy of mankind, you need to know if you still belong to Satan; or, if you've heard the voice of the Good Shepherd and came back to Him. This is written to provide encouragement and practical wisdom to help you discover if you are-His stock. He is Lord of the Harvest! His stock is a New Believer in Christ. Hopefully, reading this will give you assurance, and help you get to know that some of His stock strolled away and became lost as they were tempted, due to the lust of their eyes, lust of their flesh, and the pride of life. Fortunately, the Lord helped Joyce come to know-while reading the Bible and meditating on His Word, that He was always there for her. She found out that she's His stock and He's her Good Shepherd. Inside this book His promises are made known, and the Kingdom of God is revealed. I'm praying that you will be qualified to be in God's presence and bow down before His throne. Are you qualified to enter His presence? Please return God's investment in you-through Christ; and see how He will open His windows of blessings for you, while walking by faith in His Word. This will help you discover your path to victory and where you will spend eternity. God paid "The Right Price" to save you.
