Phoenix residents Bill and Bev Johnstone inherited a small sawmill in western Washington. Even before they took it over, they were warned to close it down. As they ignored the threat and moved to Littlerock, Washington, the threats worsened, and people lost their lives. The Johnstones and their kids learned a lot about logging and more about how to protect themselves from a large and evil organization that was out to stop all the gyppo loggers. With God's guidance and the help of their family they were able to finally find peace. I have a host of relatives in the logging business in the northwest. I grew up where trees were plentiful. I am now older and those places and things are only memories, but they live in my book.

  • - The Deep things of God
    av Tommy L Jamison
    260,-

Many books and papers have been written on the mysteries of the Bible. Some of the topics cover Bible history, theology, and trivia under the umbrella of a mystery defined by the writer not by God. Other writings cover the mysteries as stated by the apostles Paul and John, but offer only cursory context and explanation. Few if any provide total scriptural context with background, intended audience, and how the mysteries culminate to finality. Peter warned of looking at prophecy in isolation when he stated in 2 Peter 1:20, "This first knowing, that any prophecy of scripture of its own interpretation is not." This book looks at each mystery as defined by the Holy Spirit as, first, being a mystery. Second, each mystery is examined by looking at the Biblical application and timing from beginning to end as the mystery will be made manifest to more than the believer. Finally, the mysteries are discussed in the logical order of their revelation and brought to a conclusion by the last mystery before the eternal state. The last mystery "The mystery of God should be finished" (Revelation 10:7), brings the wisdom of God into full view for the believer who desires to be a good steward of God's word. Tommy Jamison spent more than 35 years in Industry as a licensed engineer, researcher, manufacturing and engineering executive. He holds BS and MS degrees in engineering and applied statistics. He taught experimental design courses at university level and holds patents in metallurgy, metrology, and pressure piping products. He has taught Bible classes primarily in Sunday School for over forty years and currently teaches an adult couples' class. He is the author of three previous books, "What Christians Need to Know about the Quran and Islam", "Values that Divide-Destroy-Degrade" and "Revelation for the Layperson".

  • av Rick Combs
    290,-

It all begins with the tragic murder of a whistleblower who has sought help from a struggling private investigator. As the PI, grief stricken by the death of his client, digs into the case, he becomes overwhelmed by the enormity of the mysterious organization known only as The Group. The playing field broadens as the PI's detective ex-wife, pastor son, and a retired federal agent are thrown into the mix. Will they be able to save the two latest victims, known as Seekers, in this vast conspiracy, before it's too late? The stakes become higher and higher as the hunters become the hunted. Nothing short of divine intervention will ensure a victory. As Rumi once said, "What you seek is seeking you." Rick Combs is an ordained minister, full time security officer, and part time customer service representative who resides in London, KY, with his wife, Berniece, who is a registered nurse. He's been blessed with three wonderful children, two wonderful grandchildren, and, at the time of this bio, another grandchild is on the way. The author makes a cameo appearance, in Chapter 8, as the security guard who slips a cryptic message to Stan and Simon. SEEKERS is his first full length novel to be published.

  • - Faith, Family, and Love will see you through it all!
    av Naomi J Kinney
    290,-

Naomi is the youngest of the nine Kinney children to Robert and Alfreda Kinney, and growing up in the 60s they had a truly idyllic life, living in the small predominantly Black community of Evanston in mid-town Cincinnati, Ohio. King Records was only two blocks from her childhood home, and this was the place her father found solace in singing and occasionally recording in the same historic place as did many great musicians such as James Brown and Bootsy Collins. But her father's troubled situation and the challenges of this era in America caused many constraints for this large Catholic family. However, with the support of family and friends, having developed a strong loving bond among themselves, and by receiving lots of love from their faith community, they survived many difficulties together. This is Naomi's ("the baby's") glimpse into their past and the history of their hometown (Cincinnati, Ohio), highlighting some of their treasured happy memories, the tragedies that occurred among them influenced by the society at the time, and yet how they each found their missions through it all. They are indeed the "Kids of King".

  • - A Little Boy's First Thirty Days in Eternity
    av Ruth Robbins
    270,-

The book is designed to show some of the wonders that are in heaven waiting for us through the Father's love. Ruth Robbins grew up the oldest of eight children in Wisconsin. She has always had a love of books, especially the Bible. When she was offered the opportunity to pursue a doctorate in First Century Faith, she completed it in one year. Ruth's hobbies include music, painting, and making beaded jewelry. These were not enough. They didn't seem to reach many people. The Gospel must be preached by whatever means. Books often help. In 2012 her dad died, and during the month after his death, a working title came to mind for a first draft of her book, Young Jaden's Adventures in Heaven, which is her first novel. Ruth currently lives where she grew up, with two family members, and near other family members, in Wisconsin.

  • - A prophecy to the modern church
    av Larry Dorcik
    186,-

This book takes the reader on a whirlwind tour through biblical and world history in an attempt to discover the foundations and primary characters involved in the most incredible deception ever perpetrated on mankind. The challenge of collecting all the clues cloaked in the mists of time and properly relating them to our modern times makes for an exciting and enlightening journey. The faithful reader may be challenged by the cataclysmic conclusion. Although I am a native Florida "cracker", my genetics originated in LA (lower Alabama). After a deep spiritual experience in my teen years, I was called to serve in the Kingdom of God. That service included deaconship, worship leader and church elder in two churches in the greater Orlando area. I am married to my wonderful wife of 58 years, Alice. We have three children and six grandchildren. I enjoy gardening, fishing and hunting. Current events demanded I somehow share truth, light and hope with my fellow man as the world spirals, seemingly, out of control. Since I have never written anything more than a 500-page school report, I believe the Holy Spirit has inspired and empowered me to write this timely piece.

Have you ever felt a deep yearning on the inside, gently tugging at your heart? It feels like something is missing. Come, take another look with me at the shepherd's psalm in "The Heart of My Shepherd." See how the Lord gently leads, protects and genuinely loves you. Only He can fulfill that yearning, just like a shepherd cares for his sheep. The Lord is loving and a gentlemen and will not force Himself into our lives. • - Essential keys for the most abundant, Christian life.
    av Jason J Camacho
    260,-

Many believers aren't living an abundant, Christian life because they don't understand their purpose, position or process. These three key ideas are absolutely essential if you want to experience the fullest life possible. Once you understand these basic, yet powerful teachings in Scripture, everything can change for your life. This book explores the theme of "fruit" throughout the Bible in order to help lead you into the most fruitful life possible. God wants to increase your fruitfulness, but it will take some work. Let's get to it. Jason J. Camacho is a preacher and teacher of God's word who seeks to move people towards Jesus. California-raised, but Florida-based, his highest ambition is to teach, train and transform God's people through the power of Scripture. This book was written in response to a spiritual need that Jason recognized throughout his several years of ministry. Too many believers lack the foundational knowledge to effectively live the Christian life well. His desire was to create a resource that would equip new believers with the basic knowledge that many lack. For more information on his ministry, visit abovereproachministry.com

Sometimes in life it seems like you are going through situations all alone and no one will ever understand. I want you to know that you are never alone, no matter the circumstances. God never leaves His children, nor does He forsake them. The pages of this book depict the journey that I have traveled from my childhood to this present day. On my journey there have been some ups and downs; some rough roads, hills, and valleys, some breakups, and some loss. But God has brought me through it all, and He continues to walk with me. I pray that this book will be a blessing to anyone who turns the pages. I, Felecia Powell was born in Houston, Tx in 1965. I am a widow and mother of three children. I married at the early age of sixteen and divorced five years later. Between 1990-1192, I was homeless. The grace of God kept me and protected me. In 1993 I moved to a small town in Texas called Jewett, where I now reside. During my life, from childhood to this present day, God has gifted me with the ability to write and sing. I began writing poetry at an early age. Now, I have put together just a few poems, songs, talks and plays to share with the world.

A Proven Criminal Justice Model Direct and powerful prisoner testimonies by successful graduates of College Education Behind Bars (CEBB) breathe undeniable life into this remarkable story about the power of hope and the possibility of redemption. Confronted with an overcrowded jail overflowing with hopeless brothers and sisters, Dr. Aland Mizell conceived of CEBB as a light to shine into darkness. Making that light a reality required to seek out and create effective partnerships with government officials, criminal justice agencies, and forward-thinking university administrators. CEBB's academic courses and mandatory recovery program offer prisoners a realistic hope for transforming themselves into productive members of their families and communities, heightening success at reentry and lowering the chance of recidivism. The author calls for replication of this academic and rehabilitative initiative across the Philippines and the passage of a a Second Chance Act. "College Education Behind Bars is a symbol of hope in the era of mass incarceration. Through this innovative higher education program, Dr. Aland Mizell offers purpose to PDL, preparing them for release and demonstrating that education that should be available even to those behind bars - it's a gateway for second chances especially for those desiring a better future." I believe that all our accomplishments in life are a result of God's direction. If we allow The Lord to lead us we can never fail. I was born into an environment where alcohol was dominant. Having lived in one room shacks on migrant farms and not knowing if you would survive the situation you were in. Our biological parents would leave us sometimes for weeks. We were in three foster homes before the state of Michigan decided that we had suffered enough and took us from them. We were all three adopted by William and Ora Murdock. I was in my twenties, when I was introduced to Christ. I have been married to the love of life for 48 years to Pastor Charles M Willis. Before we had taken the steps to take our marriage vows the Lord let me know that He had a purpose for Charles, That was preaching the gospel to lost souls. Being a pastor's wife was not one of my goals. I had made a commitment to marry Charles, before I knew his calling. There is such a blessing in allowing Christ to lead in all the decisions we make in life. We have two daughters Crystal and Sharone and four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The Lord has been the center of our lives.

Nothing ever catches God off guard or frightens Him. In Psalms King David stated "Behold if I make my bed in hell, thou art there" Psalm 139:8. After reading this book, I hope you are able to conclude with me in saying, our situations may never always turn out just how we want them to but they will certainly be for the good of those who love the Lord and are called according to His purpose. Knowing that One so omnipotent and all wise orders our every step brings about a peace that is unfathomable in a troubled world. Take time to see His hand at work in your lives every day and let it bring a smile to your face when you think, "Who could it be but God?" Denese Richards has compiled stories of her life in Jamaica, West Indies, where she was born and bred, and in England, where she is currently a citizen. In this book, her first, she shares experiences of ups and downs, highs and lows of life; she never fails to accredit their miraculous outcome to that of only divine interventions. Denese is a firm believer in God's ability to come through for those who trust in Him, even when things seem impossible.

Stewardship is usually associated with money. Yet a steward is someone who cares for or manages the affairs of someone else. We are called to manage God's creation. An executor has a source document - a will or trust from the departed person to carry out their wishes. As God's stewards, our source document is the Bible - our Farmer's Almanac to use as we plant the seeds of conversion, till and fertilize the soil of our hearts and those of our parishioners so that we fulfill God's promise of salvation to the world. We will be His gardener, farmer and caretaker - depending on the size of our parish's garden or field. Stewardship is both "hard" and "heart" work. By sharing my own stewardship journey, I've tried to take the "hard" part of stewardship out of the equation, by revealing to you the "heart" plans and tools used at my parish. Since age 14, Michael has had a passion for writing. His first book, In Search of My Orange-Colored Sky, was a collection of poetry written during high school and college. The real literary calling came in early 2020 as God revealed to him in a dream his next book. Six months later and 20-years after his first book, A Stewardship Journey, was written. Born in Germany, Mike is the second of three generations who have served in the U.S. Air Force. Mike graduated from Robinson High School in Tampa, Florida; Troy State University; and the University of the Philippines. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus for 30+ years, serving in various leadership positions, as well as being an usher, parish council member, and a stewardship director. Mike, his wife, Edna, and their two daughters, Kristina and Michala, reside in Corona, California, and are parishioners of St. Matthew's Catholic Church. Mike loves to cook; enjoys gardening and landscaping.
