  • - Becoming all you were created to be
    av Silva Annemarie Silva
    247

Masterpiece is a collection of life learned experiences that brought me to a place of freedom, joy and peace. Experiences that molded me to walk the path that I was created for. Some of them brought pain, but they also brought a greater understanding of who I was and how God viewed me. Many taught me my value, and how to value the differences that each of us have as well as to accept the paths that each of us walk are different. Some of those lessons are hard to learn, but God as our creator has put you into this life to complete a purpose. God looked upon all he created, and he said it was good. You are His Masterpiece. Accepting and understanding the seasons of our life, can bring great strength to accomplish what you think you are unable to accomplish. To overcome hurts you just cannot let go of and find healing. To bloom before those who thought you offered nothing to this world. To live for the purpose, you were created for. Take a journey with me. You are God's Masterpiece Annemarie Silva is a lover of souls, especially those who are hurting and lost. Serving alongside her husband Sebastian Silva as Co-Pastor of The Open Door Church in Southern California, she has had the opportunity to take the hard seasons of her own life, making them useful to help those who are struggling on their own path. She believes God has a purpose for everyone he created and understands that life can get in the way from many completing that purpose. She loves to plant into the hearts of those God brings into her path. • - The Story of Christianity and Our Salvation
    av Lucido Sebastian Lucido
    181

Before sunset two men would be dead, and another in hiding. Each of them would become famous for the events that fateful Friday. Jesus, Peter and Judas. You think you know the story, but do you know the lesson? In this account of two betrayals, Sebastian Lucido reveals the events and choices that led each man to their very different destinies that week in Jerusalem. While both Peter and Judas considered themselves a faithful friend and a loyal follower of Christ, each man chose a different path that week in Jerusalem. The Rock and The Serpent is an intimate character investigation into the souls of Peter and Judas. After years of following Jesus, what could lead two men to denying Jesus that Passover Night? How is it that two normal, intelligent, seemingly well-intentioned human beings follow the same Teacher - and yet one of them would fail to learn the simplest and most essential lessons of the heart? At the same time, we will look at more pressing and contemporary questions: What essential lessons might we be missing from their stories? Which of these two men is most like us? And which story could have been your story, if you had walked and talked with Jesus two thousand years ago? Two Men. One Decision. What does it mean to follow Christ?

  • - A Virtuous Woman of War
    av Houston Jacqueline Houston
    177

There comes a time in all of our lives when we experience a cry from within. Whether faced with personal, professional, familial, or financial difficulties, the pressure of life can become overwhelming, and we can feel like we have nowhere to turn. Author Jacqueline Houston knows this cry well, and through her experiences, the Lord gave her a newfound hope and purpose in the midst of painful circumstances. A Virtuous Woman of War: A Cry from Within by Jacqueline Houston is an inspiring book which discusses what to do when we find ourselves in a place of desperation and despair in life. Taking an in-depth look at different passages of the Bible, Jacqueline examines how biblical characters responded to the trials and tribulations of life and how the Lord used the pain to help them grow and fulfill His plans for them. Inspired by the author's cry from within as a result of her and her family being treated as insignificant by those closest to them, the book includes questions for readers to engage in self-reflection and challenges readers to face their struggles and actively trust that the Lord is working their situation out for their good, strengthening themselves into the spiritual warrior God wants them to be with prayer, fasting, and reading the Word daily. If you are ready to move from a victim to a victor and overcome what life has thrown at you, this book is for you. Cry out to the Lord and allow Him to transform your pain into something greater than you could ever imagine My name is Jaqueline Houston and I was born in Arkansas and raised in Michigan. Over the span of my youth I lived in Michigan, Arkansas, and Chicago. My mother died from cancer when I was 7 years old and that is when I moved to Detroit, Michigan to be raised by my aunt. When I became an adult I got married and my husband became a Pastor. I was a First Lady for 10 years before I became a Co-Pastor. I enjoy preaching and teaching the word of God, I love spending time with my family, I love to travel, and I love to sing and worship. My family and I have traveled from city to city and I love every moment of it. I was inspired to write this book because I had a cry from within me that yearned for more. I was tired of the things that I was facing in my life and my heart was crying within me for more of God.

  • - Revealing the Gospel of the Kingdom & the Marxist New World Order
    av Charles L Williams
    467

We Shall Reign is a thorough introduction to "the Gospel of the Kingdom" principally through the lens of Traditional Premillennialism. In Part 1 the author explains, first, how God''s elect saints, or "the Israel of God," are related naturally and through adoption by God''s promises to Abraham. He then "paints" the big picture of the Kingdom of God being brought to its fruition when Jesus returns as King reigning on Earth with His saints. In Part 2, the author theorizes how Greek philosophy was the principal agent that changed the biblical Kingdom of God on Earth expectation into a Platonic "Heavenly Ascent" theory that Christians should reject.Williams concludes the book in Part 3 with a concerning overview of the warfare taking place today, and how the looming Marxist New World Order is setting the stage for the devastating reign of Antichrist. We Shall Reign is, therefore, both an urgent call to Christians for action against the coming threat of Antichrist and a word of hope regarding the coming Kingdom of God and the role of Christians as kings and priests in it. This book, while controversial, is guaranteed to get the attention of any thoughtful and serious Christian. Mr. Williams has been a Christian for over 40 years. He is married to his wife, Jean, and they have three adult children and three grandchildren. He obtained his B.S. Public Administration & Business Management degree in 1982 before working in the business world for 23 years. Williams since has worked as a Christian school teacher for more than 12 years and recently obtained his Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) degree in 2020.

When Marney set out to find God, she got totally lost. Her lusty desires, other people's philosophies and deceptive spiritual pitfalls led her into a pattern of dangerous traps. Whether it was meditation, drugs, feminism, or Hinduism, it all resulted in the same sort of thing: false self-worship. Still, her broken heart yearned for truth and love. Fortunately, Truth and Love was also pursuing her passionately. In one explosive moment, Marney met Jesus. Read how that powerful encounter rapidly gained her freedom, purpose, peace and a wonderful hunky husband. I caution you not to read the end first. Let the surprise sacrifice there really surprise you. Marney's tale may seem extreme and unlikely. But, please don't judge her! You just might recognize a strangely familiar rabbit trail out of your own amazing story in this quirky journey. Marsha Blackford first encountered Jesus while working in an abortion clinic. Much like the stiff-necked Hebrew people in the wilderness, she had a direct word from God. And turned to idols. She knew that abortion was murder and quit. She knew that Jesus loved her and forgave her. But she stubbornly ignored Him for 30 years. That crazy decision got her involved with the Hare Krishna movement. After 25 years in that cult, 13 of which she ran the society's newspaper, the author met a man of God. He led her into Christ's Kingdom once and for all and they married happily. She is now widowed, volunteers at a Christian crisis pregnancy center, and prays for you.

  • - God Wants An Intimate Relationship
    av Dr Barbara A Richmond
    691

"If you love Me, you will keep My commandments."(John 14:15)Jesus commands us always to pray and have constant fellowship with the Father. It is through Prayer that we bask in His glory. Prayer also releases the power of God. It is a powerful vessel, and throughout history, many things have been wrought through prayer. Yet, prayerlessness has broken our fellowship with God.Sometimes, some of us grudge prayer because there is no sweet fellowship with God due to our prayers being an act of duty as a form of Christian discipline. If our hearts and minds are barren in prayer, then we are not praying effectively; thus, we will not bear fruit. However, we should have an earnest desire to fellowship with God and not just pray because of needs but have a consuming desire to spend time with the lover of our soul. We should love the Lord with our whole body, mind, and soul. Prayer is the most earnest way we exemplify our love to God. During prayer, we are most conscious of God''s presence, and this is the time that we can give all of our being to Him. Prayer is intimate fellowship with God and seeing it as such can bring value to our prayers. This Book Is Written by the leading of the Holy Spirit. Every chapter is a wonderful blend of Biblical Principles on Prayer and personal testimonies of the effects of prayer and prayerlessness. So, I pray that through this book, I can be the means to lift you up from a lower state of grace to a higher atmosphere so that you can become to esteem and love prayer more than you did before reading this book. Prayer is a blessed thing. We need to pray more. For God''s Word tells us that we ought to pray without ceasing. As for -myself, as Luke stated in Acts 20:24, "I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself," my only desire is that "I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God." It was only through prayer that I never lost my faith, my joy, or my praise.

The human spirit in its purest form is extremely powerful. It is strong, determined and very resilient. The very thought of collecting powerful experiences about overcoming a challenging phase in the individual lives of a select few people was always on my mind. There could not have been a better opportunity ever to write about this topic than the current times and season we find ourselves in. The Book 'Navigating Difficult Times' is a collection of 11 stories highlighting a very difficult phase in the life of an individual and how the individual used all resources from within to navigate it and come out safely and victorious. The stories in this book also highlight how the main characters endured various demanding emotions, like grief, rejection, abandonment, and guilt, to name a few, but eventually came out stronger, wiser, and more capable out of their adversity. These characters do not wear capes and masks, but symbolize and radiate strength, self-belief, perseverance, and above all courage showing ardent evidence that adversities develop our character along with resilience, compassion, and understanding. The message is clear. It's how we choose to react to these periods in our lives and how we decide to let them mold and shape us, that truly creates a story to tell. It is all about being Bigger on the Inside. In the last chapter of the book, professionals in the field of psychology share their views helping us further through some great advice on how to navigate difficult times. This book is good read primarily aimed to encourage and inspire others helping them in their battles of life. Storms of any kind after all do not last forever. The question of how an individual is saved is paramount to salvation. Is a person saved by the "blood of Christ" or by Jesus'' vicarious propitiatory sacrifice? The answer to this question is decided by what a person believes Scripture means by being redeemed "with the precious blood of Christ (1 Pet 1:18-19." Does this statement mean that a person is redeemed literally by the physical blood shed or does the statement figuratively refer to Christ''s vicarious propitiatory death? There is no more important question than how an individual is redeemed. The questions before us are these,1. To be saved is it necessary to believe and accept by faith the changing of our blood into the divine, innocent, and incorruptible blood of Christ?2. Does the teaching that Jesus had divine blood instead of human blood deny the orthodox doctrine of the Person of Christ as stated by the Council of Chalcedon in 432 AD?3. Does Scripture, properly understood and interpreted, teach it is the vicarious, propitious death of Christ that saves man, and not the physical blood of Christ? Plantation: A settlement in a new country or region, Merriam-Webster.Ten years after those on the Mayflower started Plymouth Plantation, John Winthrop aboard the Arbella to Massachusetts delivered these words to those onboard in a sermon now known as "A Model of Christian Charity" "The Lord will be our God, and delight to dwell among us...when He shall make us a praise and glory that men shall say of succeeding plantations, ''may the Lord make it like that of New England.'' For we must consider that we shall be as a city upon a hill. The eyes of all people are upon us." One hundred forty years later, the "shot heard round the world" was fired in Massachusetts, thus beginning America''s independence. America was always intended to be God''s planting. This book outlines how America began, how we have departed from that vision and how we can regain it if we want to "pursue our happiness" and restore hope to future generations.

  • - Twenty-Five Biblical Encounters That Provide Insight for Personal Encounters in the 21st Century.
    av Sue Z McGray
    261

We all experience thousands of encounters during our lifetime. These encounters come in all forms. Some of the people we meet are for a reason, some a season and others for a lifetime. Some encounters are unexpected while others are planned. Consider the encounters you have had that changed your life''s direction. The Bible has many stories of encounters that impacted the lives of those involved but also for millions of people throughout the ages. David had encounters with Goliath, King Saul, and Bathsheba, each of which revealed a different view of his character and the state of his relationship with God. Life Changing Encounters and Divine Appointments explores twenty-five biblical encounters and discusses applications for 21st Century Christians and the people they interact with each day. As you read these stories, I encourage you to be more thoughtful in your encounters. Each has the potential to be life altering for both you and the ones you encounter. God uses the Holy Spirit to orchestrate encounters and divine appointments. Sue did a masterful job in capturing encounters throughout the Bible. As I read her book, it reminded me of the many impactful encounters I have had in my life. One of those amazing encounters was the day I met Sue. Her book has also opened my eyes to pay attention to the encounters I now have each day. I hope you will allow this book to touch your heart, think of your own personal encounters and open your eyes to be aware of how God works in your life with encounters.-Diane BurtonThe Masterpiece Coach, Author, Speaker Sue Z. It''s so good to know we have a God that loves unconditionally. He is full of compassion and merciful. Life can be very challenging and hard to deal with especially for the believers of Jesus Christ. We will experience some sufferings and persecutions in a world that have so relentlessly chosen to walk contrary to the ways of God. Remember we serve a forgiving God who died for our sins so that we can be reconcile back to our original spiritual state with Him for eternity. No matter what we go though in life God is always there to help us in it and get through it. He is always concern about His creation conditions. For He hath said, "I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." (Hebrews 13:5)"I love the LORD, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications." (Psalm 116:1) Arlene Mitchell loves to encourage, help to equip and challenge people to grow in their spiritual walk with the Lord. Her prayers are that her brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus will be all that God desire for them to be in Him. She loves making homemade chocolate candy, setting the dining table with beautiful flowers, bike riding, enjoys a sunny day on the boardwalk near the water, spending time with her prayer partners and helping the sick and those that are in need.

He has wanted me my whole life: he used an ocean to snatch me, he used a fire to suffocate me, he used a boss to crush my soul, he used a friend to kill me and yet here I stand, my life begging the question, am I cursed. I know what it is to be a coward like Peter, a murderer like Paul and a question mark like Nicodemus. What will it take for me to be His? I am a 52 year old African American disabled grandmother of 7 and a mother of 7 children from Burlington, new jersey but raised in dale City Virginia. I am an ex-Navy wife and graduate from Grand Canyon University. I am a chaplain with the international fellowship of Chaplains and A volunteer with the Billy graham evangelistic team chatline. I am a newly converted catholic who is a member of a fransican church as well as a member of a Potter House Church. I enjoy writing, painting, music, gardening and sewing. i was inspired to write this book through my father and my mother who fed me stories of our history throughout my life and encouraged me to share the tale when I was old and mature enough. My grandmother would remind me that no one can know your story unless you leave home and live it. I have lived it and then some.

In "Looking Up! An Invitation to Compare Life Experience with Eternal Truth" I blend contemporary thought with Biblical script and universal messages captured in flowing verse. I address racial relations in a personal way in the poem, "Same Difference." Personal testimonies invite the readers to identify with myself and others in life''s journey. I include old movies, TV shows and adages that open the door of understanding, to compassion and hope for our future.
