  • - From Victim to Victory
    av Anna Kramer
    277

Mercy! What Was I Thinking? is the life story of a woman who experience abandonment issues, many cultures, religions and frightening abusive relationships. Many unwise decisions are made as a result of a dysfunctional family, and desperate attempts to escape unhealthy situations, especially from a very dangerous man. There are times of humorous events, times of heart rendering losses, sorrows, as well as consequences of decisions that should have (and could have) been avoided. The author would hope that this story would be a help to others who have endured similar trials and tribulations to avoid the same pitfalls. or at least make the necessary, course corrections to come out of situations in the wisest, safest way possible and end being the victim. Victory is finally achieved when there is acknowledgment, yielding and relying on God, "The Great Orchestrator in the sky." It helps to know God's love and how precious you are in his sight. I hope my mess will be a message of hope to all who read this. I was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada. I have been married to my husband thirty-eight years. I have four children and thirteen grandchildren. I live in the mountains of Colorado and love hiking in the beauty of God's creation. My website is a work in progress. I hope to get that operational soon.

  • - Take off the mask, now who are you?
    av Elder Norbert E Lewis
    247

In Genesis 2:16-20 we examined how it all started. Adam and Eve were hiding from God after they disobeyed His commandment. In this book we examine the different mask people wear to conceal the truth about their lives. We not only challenge you to examine yourselves but also do something about the shortfalls you find after examination. Not only do people hide behind a mask but they hide behind their gifts. Gifts come without repentance. You may fall but your gift will still operate. In this book we talk about the Real You and the Other You. We talk about how to allow the Real You to remain in control of your life and how to bind the Other You. We will examine salvation, living saved, but not being delivered. Moses led millions out of Egypt but only a few from the original group that came out of Egypt crossed over into the promise land. Many were saved from Egypt but only a few were delivered into the promise land. I grew up in a small community in Mississippi called Pineville. I attended Pineville Missionary Baptist Church as a youth and received the best Christian foundation in the world. I left the Baptist Church to join Church of God where I was introduced to the Holy Ghost. I soon left the Church of God and joined the Church of God in Christ. Then the Ministry God had given me came into play as I moved through various independent churches. God has given my wife and I Kingdom Ministry, a ministry without walls and without denomination.

  • - Developing Your Identity in Christ
    av Ashley K Stovall
    257

I believe God speaks to us through dreams. These metaphorical images that visit us during sleep are messages of instruction, encouragement, and guidance. God uses dreams to communicate revelation and spiritual lessons like messages that help us become more like His son. Becoming like Christ takes active faith and persistent work, and as we master abiding in Him, we learn more about who we are and who we want to become. Through the interpretation of my dreams, I provide principles on how to cultivate a foundational relationship with Jesus so you can gain an awareness of who you are in Christ and how to live-out your identity when you choose Jesus. Ashley is a native of Halifax County, Virginia and was raised by her mother and sister. She is a certified life coach, mental-health advocate, dream consultant, and aspiring education specialist in school counseling. • - A Short Allegorical Christian Tale Based on the life journey of the author
    av Nora Gonzalez
    177

This little book is a simple and short allegorical tale, a modern-day parable of a little donkey named Dolores. This autobiographical tale depicts the events the author has faced and lived through. From the beginning, Dolores' journey takes her through a lot of twisting paths, turns, and detours. Along the way there are a lot of losses of friends, school, culture, and language as a child. Then as an adult she loses her family after a divorce, work, her savings, and possessions. Through circumstances and lack of understanding by well-meaning adults, Dolores' is not given the opportunity to grieve and cry over each loss. Then Dolores is hit with the hardest loss of all, the death of her child. Dolores' tries to deal with her grief, but she is unaware that the unaddressed grief from previous losses has created emotional baggage in her soul and these bags are the root cause of physical pain. After the death of her daughter, Dolores' is led through more twisting paths and detours until she finally ends up in a "magical" forest where she meets angels who help her deal with all her unaddressed grief. With the help of these angels, Dolores' digs into her bags filled with emotional baggage and is given the chance to look over her life, cry over each loss, and discover treasures hidden deep in her bags. She also discovers that a Good and loving God gave her all the characteristics she needed to face everything in her journey and that her courage and strength, also knitted into her being by her Creator, helped her decision to intentionally develop a strong relationship with Him. This was Dolores' saving grace.

God deals with us as individuals, which is a blessing. Each of us have a personal journey erected and designed by the hand of the almighty. However, his LOVE is universal, and encompasses everyone. Whether a believer or non-believer, positive or negative we all are benefactors of his LOVE. This book was written by him. It is not meant to be philosophical, religious, or psychological. He wanted basic clear communication to his readers. It is concise detail, which hopefully will compel the readers to reflect on their receiving of and submission to God's LOVE. I experienced a metamorphosis when I dared to accept that truth, he spoke to me that I had not LOVED my family, friends, and human beings with his LOVE. Yes, it was a shocker at first, but when I submitted to his governing his LOVE inside of me, and relinquished ownership of my heart and Love, I felt better spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically. The result was a better me. The amazing part is I was not aware of my prior state until he revealed it to me. Therefore, I implore you as you read this book ask God to show you yourself through his eyes.

  • - My Grandfather's Life, 1891-1948, Based on True Events
    av John Michael Dusek
    251

After years of hearing stories about my grandfather's disappearance, I began doing research into his life. Recently retired, I had the time, and there was nothing more important than possibly finding out what remained a mystery for over eight decades. It ended up being a very fascinating adventure, uncovering facts and tying together all the loose ends that unfolded before my eyes. I talked to folks in distant places, wrote to absolute strangers about my quest, and was amazed at the responses I received. Thrust into the lives of those who lived before my time, I developed visions of how it must have been to survive in what most people now refer to as "the past" or "back in the day." My findings became too precious to just file away somewhere without sharing them with my siblings, so I began to develop a story based on factual data. Then, one day it became even more intriguing when a young boy entered my life spiritually and inspired me to put forth more than the novel about my grandfather. It's all contained in this book that I'm happy to call "JINDRICH, The Baker." Growing up in a large family in Independence, Ohio, the author had a strong Catholic upbringing with values that still remain deep-seated. His graphic arts background spurred his creativity, and many years in sales gave him treasured knowledge of working with people. He and his wife of 54 years raised three sons in Southwest Florida, and they now reside in Northern Georgia. John attends St. Brendan Catholic Church and is his wife's right hand in leading the Garden Ministry there. He enjoys home improvement projects, playing tennis with his special needs son, Jimmy, and walking with his wife along the greenway close to their home.

How many times have you told someone who was having a particularly hard time, "God is with you?" Or how many times has someone chided you with, "Don't worry. God is with you?" For me personally, I have heard others use these words so much and I can honestly say I have advised others of this very same thing. There is absolutely nothing wrong with encouraging someone with these four words, but I have I sensed that I needed to do a self-check and be honest about how much do I really believe these words and/or do I act like "God is with me," when the road gets rough and the going gets even tougher? When I recalled instances of giving words of comfort to someone in their time of need, I discovered that yes, these words hold true for me, when I am going through. Thus, I found myself wanting to mean what I say and say what I mean with confidence and assurance so I embarked on a journey of discovering what God's Word says with regard to the Lord being with His people all the time which led to the writing of this book. As with so many other popular sayings and/or clichés in the church, "God is with you," may be to some, an old cliché. This book will help to strengthen your belief that indeed, "God is with you," always. Reading this book will remind you that it is not just an old cliché. You will know without a doubt and be more convinced than ever that God is with you: - So you don't have to feel alone or abandoned. - When you find yourself in a scary or frightening situation. - In the disappointing moments. - When your heart is broken. - To keep you from falling. Dr. Sandra M. Power, a servant of the Lord Most High is proud to be a soldier in God's Army. Contending for the faith, she has a deep and abiding love for those who thirst after righteousness. • - Growth Happens in Unexpected Places
    av Rebecca M Jacob
    247

Although divorce blindsided me and changed me forever, No Ordinary Days is about much more than that. It's about seeing God's hand in our busy and often chaotic lives. It's about hearing His voice. It's about glimpses into His grace amidst the most ordinary things - from a laundry room in Germany to a bouncing truck headed for Baja to a suddenly unmarried life in Spain. The stories are real, not always pretty, but honest. Through them I seek to show how we can be deceived about who we are and what we believe. We are often not as good as we had thought or as holy as we had hoped, but when we open our hearts, God opens our eyes to who He is and moves to heal and help. He shows up when least expected in the most ordinary moment and makes it remarkable. He touches you, frees you, and uses people you never imagined along the way. That's what this book is about: there are no ordinary days. Rebecca Jacob grew up in Mexico City but has lived in Spain for over forty years. She pastors a church in the heart of Madrid and frequently speaks at women's retreats, youth camps, and leadership conferences. Whether in front of a crowd or speaking one-on-one over coffee, Rebecca has the ability to teach spiritual truths with a sense of humor, joy, and anecdotes in abundance. Her happiest moments are when she is surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and Tessa, her Portuguese podengo.

What would you do if your life as you knew it changed overnight? Suddenly you went from being the poster child of perfect health to living a medical nightmare day after day for years. Would you hold steady in your faith? Or would you begin to question God's plan? My fight through Acute Myeloid Leukemia was not easy, there were days when my faith was tested more than I ever imagined it could be. I was blessed to have a loving family by my side throughout my entire journey. I discovered that my unexpected battle with cancer and the aftermath has shaped me into the mother, wife, and daughter I am today. A person that I could have only dreamed of becoming. I value each and every smile from my children, try to spread compassion and love around like sprinkles. Treat each and every day as a genuine gift from God. I experienced what it felt like to be at death's doorstep. It was extremely lonely and scary. No amount of money or power could change my predicament. I remember lying in my hospital bed at night praying to God with all my might. "God if I make it through this nightmare, I promise to love and cherish every second with my children. I will be patient and kind. I will cherish every breath I get to take on Earth." Well, I tried. I have come to realize I am far from being a perfect mom, wife, daughter and Christian. To this day I still make mistakes and say things I wish hadn't. I continue to fight and strive to be the very best version of me I can possibly be. I am sharing my story of overcoming horrible odds with the hopes of passing on encouragement, faith and love for our Almighty God. It was my Faith and God's Will that brought me through these past four years. I hope my story encourages you to never give up when you are faced with a personal battle. Whether it be a disease or illness, divorce, or layoff it is faith in God, laughter, and baking that will see you through. When you keep God at the top of your daily to do list, and you care for others, you will g Tracy Kearcher lives with her husband, daughter, son and dog Dexter, her one year old rescue in Ellington, Connecticut. • - "Celebrating 75 Years of Ministry"
    av Dr Edward Williamson
    167

This story is about a small denomination, the Evangelical Methodist Church (EMC), founded in 1946 at a prayer meeting in Memphis, TN. Dr. Hamblen, who had left the Methodist Church (presently the United Methodist Church), was asked to form a new holiness denomination. His prayer was, ''Lord, if this movement is of you, let it grow; if not, let it die". Dr. Hamblen''s prayer is still facing the denomination after 75 years of victories and challenges.Methodism in America is a laity denomination. The church began as Methodist laypersons immigrated to America. The first Societies in America included active participation by people of African and European descent. The EMC attempted to combine the Methodist Episcopal Book of Discipline with Baptist congregational elements. The theology was correct, but the organizational structure of a congregational-connectional is the nemesis. This book traces the EMC story with an honest view of the ''sin in the camp'' and the victories of mission expansion. The prophetic thread calls the EMC General Church to repentance and renewal, echoing in our ears the voice of Dr. Hamblen, ''let the movement live or let it die'' according to God''s plan. A native of Parkersburg, West Virginia, Dr. Edward Williamson knew he was called toministry when he was only a teenager. He followed that vision to Teen Challenge, aministry to drug addicts in New York City. Dr. Williamson is married to Gilda Day andaccomplished educator and artist. Gilda introduced Bibles for Myanmar, nutritiontraining and rice for the people. Gilda and Ed are serving as missionaries with OneMission Society. Ed serves as Vice President at large and Church MultiplicationFacilitator for Myanmar and Gilda serves with Dynamic Women Ministries for Myanmar.

  • - "Reflections on the 20th Anniversary of 9/11"
av Chaplain (Colonel) (Ret ) J Jenkins
    281

This book describes the experiences of an Army chaplain who officiated at the first two Memorial Services conducted in the Pentagon after 9/11, and his support to the survivors. On this 20th anniversary year of 9/11, this book seeks to honor and remember those who died on that day, while also honoring and remembering the fallen heroes from all of America's wars. This book is a call for America: to never forget the over a million fellow Americans who died for their country; and to encourage today's overworked "all volunteer" military. Stories are included from Chaplain Jenkins service in Iraq, on the staff of General Martin Dempsey, and from his tenure as the Rear Detachment chaplain for the 82nd Airborne Division. With the 82nd, Chaplain Jenkins officiated at over one hundred services for fallen paratroopers. The book traces the struggles, and eventual breakthroughs, of native Americans, Afro Americans, Japanese and Chinese minorities in relationship to military service. Against major barriers, heroic service and sacrifice are seen from these groups. Various vignettes of military heroes, from the 19th century until the present, are described, as a reminder for America to be grateful for the sacrifices of her military. BIO Chaplain (Colonel) (Ret.) Joel Jenkins and his wife, Donna, reside in Charlottesville, VA. Joel retired from Fort Bragg, NC in 2011, with 27 years of service. His service included active duty, along with National Guard and Army Reserves service. He also pastored churches in NC and Virginia. Highlights of his military career include officiating at the first Memorial Services in the Pentagon following 9/11. He served a year in Iraq on the staff of General Martin Dempsey as the Command Chaplain for MNSTC-I. His final position was the Rear Detachment chaplain for the 82nd Airborne Division.

One of the saddest things to me is to see people give their hearts to the Lord and then walk away from Him because they don't have the knowledge and understanding of His love for everything in their lives." - Kris Harrell "Kris Harrell's book is a firsthand account of the redeeming power of the Savior that works all things together for good! Warriors are molded in the flames of adversity. Just spend five minutes in prayer with Kris and you will realize the power and depth that comes from overcoming with purpose. Thank you Kris for this book and your faithfulness to the living God." - Tony Pellegrino "Kris' book is so awesome, such a great testimony of how God can turn horrible experiences into good. I also love that she shares how God gave her revelation understanding on having a great loving relationship with Him. I learned a lot and grew deeper in the Lord reading her book and plan to buy many to hand out. Very powerful." - Jackie Rogers, Discipleship Ministry California "Study all the scriptures in this book and let her teachings and her story fulfill her mission in your life and then pass it on so you can help others heal and grow into the beautiful person God has planned for them to be." - Dr. Larry Keefauver, Publishing, Writing, Editing, Teaching, Consulting, Your Ministry Counseling Services Kris lives on the beautiful west coast with her husband Doug and wiggly dog Daisy. She loves spending time with her grandkids Leila and Aden, family and friends. She loves reading the Bible and other books and praying. She also loves volunteering to help the needy by mentoring people for decades that are coming out of bad situations. She also loves gardening, painting, the outdoors and traveling.

This book gives us conclusive proof, of the SOUND of the sacred name of God. No more guessing, speculating, conjecture, or assumptions, just facts. You may be surprised to find out that his name has been hidden in plain sight. Once we've found the SOUND of his name, we've actually found his name, because a name is a SOUND and then we can share the SOUND/name with others. Some things are hidden in simplicity. Hallelujah My name is Arnold Bowen, I'm a country boy from Conyers, GA. About 45 years ago I was on my way to Atlanta to get a shot of dope when God had mercy on me. I now preach and teach his word without fear or favor of man. I do not take any money, nor will I make any money off this book. Have you ever wondered about your spiritual destiny and purpose in this life? Jesus the Giver, the Gifts and the Gifted: Spiritual Gifts That Prepare You for Eternity discusses the answers to these questions with examples in the Word of God. The Bible urges us to understand spiritual gifts and not be ignorant of them. This book is a scriptural study about the spiritual equipping gifts that Jesus bestowed upon humanity. Paul reveals these spiritual gifts are people anointed to be apostles, prophets, pastors, evangelists, and teachers in his letter to the Ephesian church. These equipping gifts are called to prepare and equip the Body of Christ to enter eternity with God. Join Valerie on this journey to unlock the knowledge of the spiritual gifts freely given to us by Jesus Christ. Discover that Jesus has given His anointing, power, authority, wisdom, and love to the spiritual equipping gifts so that they would fulfill His commission to prepare you for eternity with Him. What are you waiting for? This book is one part of a three-part series on spiritual gifts. Valerie began ministry as a children's pastor serving the least of these for 18 years. She and her husband, Doug, served as church elders for 22 years. She served as a school of ministry director for six years and assisted God's ministers as an administrative pastor for eight years. Just as a kernel of corn is broken by a root- the radicle- so it can be nourished and multiplied, we too are designed to live broken and continually dependent on Jesus. In this collection of devotional thoughts, Curtis Stevens richly shares from his life experiences what it looks like to walk with purpose, hope and joy when we "get to" be in relationship with Jesus.

Through this collection of poems I am attempting to tell a story of life. This story is about my deep seated faith, and the reverence I have for God and his marvelous creation. In this book I am trying to underscore the virtues of redemption, hope, love, growth, truth and friendship. In my genuine effort to capture the humanity of my story, I felt compelled to address the fallibility of man so, sensitive issues like rejection, helplessness, brokenness, lying, hate and injustice had to be highlighted. This book seeks to remind us that, even with all the negativity, and the challenges of humanity, we can still see and feel the emblematic touch of God all around us. There are victories in the waiting so, we cannot lose hope. Hope safeguards one's life against despair and centers it on the endless possibilities of God. My life is a story well worth the living, because I have been blessed beyond measure. I was born in Jamaica, but I have spent the greater part of my living in southern Florida. I have been married to the same wonderful woman for thirty three years. Our lives have been sweetly enriched by our two lovely daughters and one exceptionally adorable grand daughter. I really enjoy putting my thoughts on paper, either in poems or songs. I am so inspired by the natural beauty I see all around me. I also carry a heavy burden for those who are victims of hate and injustice, advocating on their behalf will probably be the endeavor that guides my writing career.
