Women have been told for centuries by others who God says they are and the roles they should play in our society. This is a journey outside your Sunday school, one size fits all teaching. This is a journey into the things we have been told are not acceptable to share. This is a journey into the life of a woman who broke societies molds, statistics, and views. This is your journey into what God says about the woman He created. This is your journey into finding H.E.R. I was born and raised in Florida and currently reside there with my family. Writing has been a passion of mine since my elementary school years. As women we get caught up in the society and even the churches view of who we are supposed to look like and be. I wanted a way to tell women that God made them for so much more than appeasing these views and standards.

  • - We Will Serve the Lord...
    av John A Baker
    247

What can happen when you run away from God's calling? This book, "As for Me and My Outhouse, We Will Serve the Lord", takes the reader on an intriguing and sometimes hysterical ministry journey to learn the answer to this question. Filled with miracles and drama, such as being held at gunpoint, fire, and experiencing a host of calamities, the optimism and humor of the characters will have you standing up and cheering for them. Defrauded almost the full value on their new home, see how God developed their faith and patience with His help. Laugh and cry when you learn their reaction at being sold a home that never had a septic tank even when they paid for an inspection before the purchase. Gasp at the near drowning of a baptismal candidate or hold your breath at the split-second decision of possibly having to drive off a cliff. This book will give you fresh eyes at seeing God like you've never seen Him before. John and Le Anne Baker have been married thirty-seven years and have served in the pastoral ministry for more than twenty years in New Hampshire, Kentucky, and Tennessee. They are both seminar presenters having trained audiences in marriage reconciliation, conflict coaching, how to promote yourself in a tough job market, and praying for your partner. John's career path has included stints in radio broadcasting, long-term care administration, foodservice, public relations, hospital chaplaincy, and he was twice elected president of the Kentucky Dietary Managers Association. He is a graduate of Johnson State College in Vermont. His wife Le Anne is a graduate of Murray State University in Kentucky.

People in general seem to not focus on the most important thing in life. we have a tendency to not care about life after death even though we have been urged to seek first the kingdom of God and his Righteousness. I remember as a fourth grader to find the reason for my existence . I could not accept the fact that I had been created and allowed to live and then exist anymore. My second desire was to become a Dentist so I could help people . I accomplished both. I learned how to receive eternal life and how to share this very important information to others while giving God the Gory for all he has done.

  • - Anecdotes and Memories from a Lifetime with Cats
    av Deborah P Hall
    251

The Cats Locked Me in the Well House is a delightful frisk through memories involving cats. Readers will learn how I escaped from the well house and will learn the three Feline Household Commandments (housecats only get three, not ten). Many other questions will be answered. What happens when a cat and a human hunter both claim rights to the same prey? Why did everyone at church one morning think I had a new truck? What really was on top of the grain container in the dark instead of Chiaroscuro? What are the rules of Barn Cat Slalom? Readers will learn about an abused cat who found safety and shelter off the city streets, a cat with a truly Shakespearean personality, a cat who is a scientist, a cat who climbs trees on command, and the ultimate cat. They will meet Cat Lady, the home aide client who had sixteen cats and then died, leaving me her pride. Full of humor with some gentle faith points scattered along the way, this book is a purrfect treat for any lover of cats. Ten percent of my earnings from this book will be donated to Eden Animal Haven in Brighton, Missouri. Deborah P. Hall lives in Missouri on her project farm, surrounded by animals, books, and music. She graduated magna cum laude from Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota, with a degree in English. She is heavily involved in the music program at her church and in a community chorale and volunteers at the library. She has published poems and articles, and this is her third full-length book.

  • - Or How I Learned to Partner with My Difficult Duck Dog
    av Rick Stecker
    176

The Chronicles of Mikey & Me took shape over 10 years in the life of our first family Labrador. From his first days as a puppy to his final moments, he showed himself to be an alpha-male canine. I had to learn how to work with him and shape him into a suitable hunting partner. Or was it he who shaped me? The seminal stories from that time remain fixed in my memory to this day. To bring them back to life now on these pages, will I hope add to the body of knowledge about working and struggling with the character and nature of a supremely gifted canine -who had a very unique temperament. For the true dog enthusiast, I know you'll get it. For those who want to become so, I hope you will come away with a fresh awareness of what it might take to align with your new companion. Rick Stecker began his writing career as a reporter for a daily newspaper. Then came a stint in U.S. Navy public affairs aboard an aircraft carrier. What followed was 25 years in business and corporate communications at both the national and international levels. Rick then used his experience to build Grounds to Grow, a coaching & consulting business reaching small businesses and entrepreneurs. Today he continues to write books on business and content for the internet, and focus his attention on his faith. He and his wife, Sharon, live in north-central Wisconsin; they have three grown children and one grandchild.

  • av Susan Brotherson
    177

On April 12, 1972, twenty-three-year-old Susan Brotherson found herself in a situation she never thought she would be in. A single mom facing an unexpected pregnancy without the support or funds needed to raise another child, she felt that abortion was her only option. Motivated by fear and shame, she underwent the procedure. She didn't realize, however, how lasting and devastating the effects would be. Redemptive Love by Susan Brotherson is an inspiring book which follows the author's journey of healing and transformation after abortion. Detailing the emotional pain she experienced in the years after, Susan describes how the enemy tried to derail her faith with lies and accusation but that through finding a supportive church and receiving baptism of the Holy Spirit and the gift of tongues, she gained the spiritual strength to overcome and began to seek opportunities to help other women who were dealing with the aftereffects of abortion and prevent others from making the same decision she did. Throughout the book, the overarching theme of how God put Susan's broken pieces back together rings true, with the Lord revealing to her that she had been carrying twins and giving her the opportunity to encounter them in the heavenly realm and name them. Susan's testimony is a powerful one that reminds readers that God is good and faithful to bring healing to every area of our lives and restore our joy when we surrender to Him, and through her words, readers will be encouraged that it's not too late, they aren't beyond saving, and their story isn't over.

  • - How A Reading of Psalm 27 Kept Me Encouraged In Times of Uncertainty
av Sr McDaniel & Dr M Keith
    247

As a person of faith, we believe in the things we cannot see. We believe in God. We believe in eternal life. We believe in the soul of human beings. In the rational world, we believe that one plus one equals two. However, there is something within us that compels us to believe that one plus one also equals three. I believe that unity will one day come from diversity. It is my hope that more of us, will release our blind trust in rules and politics. That we will painfully and faithfully unpack the reality of race, the social construct, that puts one against the other, and begin to see that in the landscape of the US there is really just us. While we all seek to negotiate this short path we call life, may we long to live and love like Jesus, til the war is won. Dr. M. Keith McDaniel Sr. currently serves as the pastor of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Spartanburg, SC. He is an honor graduate of Shaw University where he majored in Religion and Philosophy. His graduate and post graduate studies were completed at Duke Divinity School, and United Theological Seminary receiving a Master of Divinity degree and a Doctor of Ministry degree respectively. Books also written by Dr. McDaniel include; Live Your Kingdom Life Now: A Theological Guide To Living By Choice Not By Chance and If God Be For Us: Pastoral Reflections of Faith and Family Concerning the Black Church.

  • - James 2:22 (NLT) YOU SEE THAT HIS FAITH AND HIS ACTIONS WORKING TOGETHER AND HIS FAITH WAS MADE COMPLETE BY WHAT HE DID.
    av Margarita Garcia Majors
    247

What happens to seed when planted in fertile soil? In a natural sense when a farmer plants seed in fertile soil, he expects his crop to yield fruit according to the seed planted. The soil was chosen by the farmer as was the seed. When a farmer plants he expects the seed to germinate and grow and eventually produce fruit. Fruit that could be counted for some hundred, some sixty, and some thirty. God who we can say is the farmer has chosen the soil and called it "good ground" meaning as a believer "I was predestined". "He predestined us to be adapted as His sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with His pleasure and will" Ephesians 1:5 (KJV). Similar It was the pleasure and will of plant seed, in his chosen soil, expecting to yield fruit. So, Jesus chooses the same analogy for those who are called, choosing to plant his "word" on the fertile soil "me" and every other believer. The book will contain how the word of God which is seed has grown and will continue to grow as it bears more fruit. Even as the farmer expects to yield fruit because of his investment "labor" so does Father God expect for every believer to yield him a return, and the return is fruiting some hundred, and some sixty, and some thirty. The Father in Faith expects His children to produce what He hopes for, meaning He expects us to bear fruit. The evidence not seen by His children, however seen by God the Father. Faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen Hebrews 11:1 (KJV). The seed planted in choice soil will produce fruit. This author being "good ground" received the seed, heard the word of God and understood it which bear fruit and brings forth some a hundred, some sixty some thirty Matthew 13: 23 (KJV). The book contains the evidence of seed being planted in good ground. Margaret Majors is a teacher, a wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her ongoing learning is equivalent to the progression of life. Like the life that is in a seed when it is planted in fertile ground and given the necessary sun/son needed for it to grow! Inspired by my heavenly Father to write about the evidence seen from this walk of faith he has for all His children. One of Margaret's main investment of time is enjoying uninterrupted time with Him. Followed by the time with her husband especially on our weekly date night that we have kept with for years, being the proof and evidence of our love affair for 35 years. Margaret has been a teacher of children all her adult life and more recently has earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Educational Studies, Form Grand Canyon University in Phoenix Arizona. Margaret lives with her husband in San Antonio Texas, where they help to facilitate a growing work for the kingdom of God. May be Reached at: mmajors062087@gmail.com

Church Revitalization is not new, nor is it foreign. For as long as Christians have gathered for worship there has been a constant need for renewal. Every church, at some point, will likely stand in need of revitalization. Using the first four chapters of Revelation as a foundation, this book is packed with encouragement, practical advice, and a wealth of experiences which can help churches and church leaders better navigate the difficult and treacherous road toward revitalization. To all those apprehended by God who desire to lead churches toward greater health, to all those who love the local church, and to all those who long to see God move mightily through your church: this book is for you. Scott Brown is husband to Crystal, dad to Zoe and Xander, a pastor, an altruistic kidney donor, a radical follower of Jesus, and a ministry coach. He became a Christian as a teenager and began preaching the gospel soon after, serving in multiple positions of ministry leadership since the age of 17. In "So Far...A Life Lived For Others," you'll read about the story of a young teenager named David. With his ailing parents and three younger siblings needing assistance, he is faced with the difficult decision of becoming their caregiver or of just moving on living his own life. As he embarks on the journey of caregiving, David faces many challenges and struggles along the way bringing him to a point of frustration and discouragement where he wanted to quit. Until one day, David receives help from an old friend which enables him to be encouraged, strengthened and have the renewed faith and love to fulfill the ministry of giving care. My name is David Robles and I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Born into a humble family but rich in knowledge of the family life. One major point my parents taught me was that family members should love one another driven by unselfishness. Whether we embrace this custom with all of its challenges and blessings or choose not to take part in it, we will eventually cross that road. Thus, all of us, at one time or another, are caregivers. That is why I wrote this book titled, So Far...A Lived For Others. It is dedicated with gratitude to God and all the caregivers around the world letting you know that you are not alone.

  • - A 14 Day Devotional about living Valued, Accepted, and Loved!
    av Lanette Jewel
    177

YOU ARE VALUED, ACCEPTED, AND LOVED Most everyone has been through a situation that will change the dynamics of the rest of their lives. How we move forward can either cripple our future or help us find hope and healing which leads to a life of victory. It boils down to choices we make. We can remain in our pity party ask God "why" did this happen to me or we can ask God "what" do you need to do in me now that this has happened? If we ask 'why', we often times take on a victim mentality as where asking 'what' can help us learn to trust that God really can use all things for our good and His glory. The author shares her experience of choosing to trust God in the midst of her sister's murder and how it set her free to live Valued, Accepted, and Loved. She invites you to journey with her these 14 days and find your own hope and healing and proclaim with her "I am V.A.L." LaNette Jewel pastors Val's House Ministries in Corinth, Texas where her passion is to see others living a life full of hope, joy, peace, and a hunger to pursue Christ and their God given destiny. She is co-host of the podcast Life with Me, Myself, and I AM and loves leading others to a closer walk with Christ through weekly meetings, retreats, and conferences. Born into a family of seven children to two semi-literate parents, life was not perpetually smooth, but somewhat cushioned by the perks and safety net of her father's employment in a multinational mining conglomerate. At age 14, her world was thrown into a free-falling spiral arising from the voluntary retrenchment taken by her father, throwing the family of 9 into an unforeseen instability and untold hardships over the next decade. With an unremitting desire for education and a deep faith in God instilled in them by their mother, Asantewaa and her six siblings fought to stay in school, find a suitable place to lay their head at night and food to put on the table. This is the story of Asantewaa's journey from a life of poverty and need in Accra, Ghana all the way to the miracle of a scholarship to pursue a PhD in Canada and her current position at Michigan State University. This is a story of hardship and persistence, of hunger and kindness, of disappointments and triumph, and an unending trust in God. The book sheds light on some Biblical texts and archaeological documents related to successive important events that took place in Mesopotamia (Greek interpretation of ancient Iraq), from the time of creation and until the return of the exiled Jews to their homeland after the fall of Babylonia at the hands of the Persians in 539 B.C. The idea of presenting the two accounts separately in the six chapters, might help to examine and assess whether God is really a God of love, and is able to preserve the dignity of the human race that He created in His image and likeness, and whether the world is stable, prosperous and carrying high moral human values due to the dedication and diligence of these inspired believers to fulfill God's will over the course of 6000 years. On the other hand, to evaluate the contents of archaeological documents extracted from Mesopotamia that reveal the natures, functions, and achievements of the goddess of creation, sky, air, waters, and storms, as well as the accomplishments of gods of Nations, Kings, and heroes of Epics and whether they can be adopted by generations as a constitution for life and inherited cultural civilization. The last chapter introduces some Biblical prophecies that have been literally fulfilled regarding the fall of Assyria and Babylonia, in addition to other prophecies recorded in the book of Revelation that are also supposed to be fulfilled at the end of ages, but not before the collapse of the city of Babylon which was announced by the second Angel in 14:8, nor before the action of the sixth Angel in 16:12, when he (poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up to prepare the way for the kings from the East). The Author is an accredited Iraqi civil engineer, who managed and accomplished numerous building and road projects. He was appointed to complete construction projects in the heart of the archaeological site of the ancient city of Babel in the late 1980's. Being proud of the heritage and civilizations of his country that are recorded in the texts of The Holy Bible, and for those reasons, the idea began to develop into the belief that God devoted him to the diligence to produce this book. Despite the fact that the dates of some artifacts precedes the dates of any written text in The Holy Bible, acknowledging that the amount of documents extracted from the Land of Mesopotamia, which is very modest in relation to the enormous volume of information in the contents of The Holy Bible that does not decrease, increase, or change. As matter of fact, The Holy Bible remains as the main source for the success of the archaeological exploration projects, that's the reason why the title of the book begins with "The Holy Bible". The Author presents various opinions selected from some publications that show the multiplicity of assumptions regarding successive topics related to each other. In the absence of concrete evidences and to reach a single conclusion; the remaining possibility is to adhere to one hypothesis or find a suitable new one that corresponds to the sequence of events that took place in Mesopotamia. For instance: The Creation, The existence of the four rivers branching from Garden of Eden (Genesis 2:10), The reality of the flood which was confirmed by the epic of Gilgamesh, Nimrod is not a sinister but a builder, king blessed of God (Genesis 10:9-10), and Abraham crossed the Euphrates River once, not three or four times! (Joshua 24:3)

At the Welcome Tree was written to help children (and all who read it) to understand three essential life lessons: the importance of helping those in a crisis, the prudence of hospitality, and the beauty that comes from living together in unity. Using animals of the forest to tell the story, the book centers on Mr. Owl who welcomes a variety of animals whose homes were lost in a fire. He invites them to live together in the tree where he lives. At first, the animals are confused since they did not live with those unlike themselves, but with loving encouragement they finally come together, and the tree becomes the most beautiful of all. av Betty Jones Rawlings
    181

Part personal experience, part history with humor, part Christian teachings, and a narrative of two heavenly visits. This book is written to fill the reader with hope, joy, a little humor, and much encouragement. The starting narrative is a three-year-old showing her faith and trust in God. You find her walking and growing in God's Word and staying the course God planned for her long life on earth. These stories will fill the reader with a better understanding of God's voice and that God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit (one God) is willing and able to communicate with His people in many ways. Such as (1) speaking to you in an audible voice when no one else in the room hears Him speaking. (2) He speaks through dreams and visions. (3) He uses the power of the Holy Spirit speaking through His anointed messengers with tongues and interpretation. (4) His magnificent creation of heaven and earth bears witness, and He speaks through His written Scriptures: reading your Bible. God can send an angel dressed as an everyday person with a message, and you are unaware that an angel is visiting you. Yes, God speaks to people today, and we can be in constant communication with Him. Our job is to listen and have faith: God calls us to be available and faithful. A sinner saved by grace is how Betty describes herself. She met Jesus at the age of three. Her first church responsibility was as a church organist and youth choir director. After receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit in 1979, she realized her place in the body was that of the "unidentified minstrel" (2 Kings 3:15). She plays her instrument and the Holy Spirit ministers. God also gifted Betty as a teacher of golden nuggets from His Word. She is licensed and ordained through Kingsway Fellowship of Des Moines, Iowa. Betty has been associated locally with Fisherman's Net Ministries for twenty-five years under the leadership of Rev. Annetta Durst.

Until Death Do Us Part, is a road map or a glimpse of a covenant marriage through widowhood. It was inspired after pondering over the countless number of sermons and teachings we heard about marriages and how very few painted a picture of a covenant marriage through widowhood. Through a powerful book of spiritual teaching, the authors share inspiring, motivational wisdom and guidance about God's will for marriage. With personal experiences, beneficial testimonies, and Christ-centered knowledge, Until Death Do Us Part provides readers with a biblical look at God's plan for marriage. Eugene Jr. and Evangelist Ina M. Jones, a Christian couple married for 27 years, met in 1990 and later married on September 25, 1993 at Apostolic Church of God, Chicago, Illinois. Eugene and Ina have traveled this road steadfastly with the sustaining power of God. They are trusting God to help them finish this marriage strong until death do them part. They enjoy working side by side with other couples who are on this journey with them. They are grateful to be living epistles in the eyes of their amazing sons, Emmanuel and Joshua, bonus daughter-in-love, Aaliyah and their doting grandchildren Armani and Novah. We are these sisters, and we are survivors. Better than that, we are thriving, thanks to the love and redemption of Jesus! There is nothing God cannot do. We are living proof of that. No part of either of us wanted to write this story to face the pain all over again and to open wounds that we have pushed down. But the Holy Spirit would not let it go. American Christians often hear stories of religious persecution in other countries. Bibles considered contraband, witnessing a crime punishable by imprisonment-being a Christian in some parts of the world is a dangerous undertaking. But what if it were like this in the United States as well? Considering the rise of evil in America, could this be our future? One Family Under God: The Final Revival by Ken Nellis is a compelling novel that describes a near-future dystopian America where Christianity is no longer welcome. In this world, the Johnson family has been chosen by God to usher in the final revival in history, with a four-year-old family member becoming an unwitting hero in the chain of events. Inspired by the progression of sin in the United States today and the slow digression of Christian involvement in all aspects of society, Ken uses biblical concepts of the End Times along with current events to craft the Johnson family's journey, as they are obedient to God's will through the daily hardships and rising peril. Full of twists and turns as well as edge-of-your-seat moments, One Family Under God: The Final Revival provides a troubling look at a fictional world that may become non-fiction in the not-so-distant future. Follow the Johnson family as they do their part in spreading the Gospel to all the nations of the world, despite the pushback from government authorities, rising anti-Christian sentiments, and daily dangers. If you are looking for a gripping adventure, this book is for you. You won't want to put it down! Ken Nellis is a professionally trained researcher and author of the new novel, One Family Under God: The Final Revival. He is keenly aware of the intersection of end times prophecy and the present political landscape. Ken hopes to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to each reader. Brought up in the great white north of Minnesota, Ken is an avid baseball fan and even tried out for the Minnesota Twins at one point. He pines for the snow and cold days of yesteryear. He is a widower and currently lives in the warmer St. Louis area with two daughters and a grandson.
