Imagine if you couldn't see; imagine all the visual wonders that you would miss because your vision was so poor. For some, getting our eyes checked and the right prescription of glasses is affordable and allows us to see these visual wonders of God's creation, but for others, this could be a dream they believe will never come true. Author Holland Kendall writes how God led him to start his own optometry ministry to help the vision needs of those less fortunate in Honduras, Nicaragua and around the world in his new book, The Gift of Sight. While on a mission trip to Honduras, Holland noticed how the vision needs of the local people were underserved, mainly because of the lack of resources to help properly fit the people with the right glasses. Holland soon realized God had called him to make an impact in this area of mission work: first in developing a program for glasses prescriptions and secondly with learning how to operate an optometry ministry that continues to help others see today. As readers read through the pages, they read of lives changed for the better just through the act of being able to see with glasses: a homeless man finding a job and an apartment after getting glasses, a Honduras woman with a -13.0 prescription being able to see clearly again, and even a Buddhist monk becoming a Christian after being blessed with renewed sight. Now when people ask Holland why he does all he can to help others through his ministry, he tells them, "Because this is what Christ said I should do." Their stories in The Gift of Sight show how God can move people to help those around them for the better. As we help others, we not only forget about our own problems but appreciate the blessing that it is to see. I grew up in a Christian family. My father, M. H. Kendall was a college professor and head of the religion department at Mars Hill College (now Mars Hill University), in Mars Hill, N.C. for nearly 40 years. In July, 1999 I decided I would take one mission trip to Honduras working through an organization called "Baptist Medical Dental Mission International". We placed some glasses out on a table and people came by and tried them on at random until something helped them. I immediately knew this was wrong but I did not know what was right. I knew it was the best we could do at the time. I came back from that trip with a God Given passion to do it better. Since 1999 I have gone to Honduras 28 times and Nicaragua 3 times. Each time something was improved. In 2003 we incorporated as "Kendall Optometry Ministry" and we have now had 1700 teams use our equipment taking them to 79 different countries.

After joining a network marketing company Curry went to his first Network Marketing event in Akron Ohio in the fall of 2014. Throughout the day he heard from multiple speakers and trainers who shared information about how to help other people with the services that company offered. The information was so closely aligned with the structure taught by Jesus to the twelve disciples that he walked up to the main speaker and asked, "Jesus was the first network marketer wasn't He?" The speaker looked right at him and said "You figured it out". That one moment changed his life forever. This vision to help Network Marketers understand Christianity and Christians understand Network Marketing has taken over 6 years to get out of his head. We are finally excited to announce this book is available.

  • - Or anyone else who is looking for some great advice.
    av Juanita Kerwin
    250,-

"Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me." I believe that is one of the biggest lies ever perpetuated. Words have extreme power to hurt us. Words a person or persons have spoken over you can easily stay with you a lifetime, if you are not willing to do the work to create the words that describe you. This book is designed to be concise. To provide answers as if you could only afford to go to a counselor once but you were given some straight to the point knowledge and advice. Advice about some basic concepts in human nature, interactions, and the consequences of those. Once you have started the process with this book it is up to you to continue it. I highly, deeply, passionately encourage and pray that this is only the beginning for you. Hi, my name is Juanita Kerwin. I am 53 years old mother, wife, daughter, and sister from Seattle Washington. I have been a classroom teacher, vice principal, homeschooling mother and ran the Children's ministry at my church for a brief time. Over the years I have prayed with and mentored many people and noticed many of the same concerns coming up. How do I know if the people I am interacting with are emotionally safe? How do I deal with them? How do I decide who I am and what words describe me? I have such a passion for helping people understand and love themselves and understand why they make the choices they do, so they can live a more emotionally healthier life. Over the years people have suggested that I write a book and one day with Gods prompting, I decided to do it.

  • - Revealing the Mystery of the Orgin of Evil in the Universe!
av Apostle A S Ranjeet Ophir
    186,-

The origin of sin and the presence of evil in this universe is the most intriguing question that will sooner or later be encountered by every student of theology. Since ages, many scholars and theologians have tried to answer this question, but those explanations have only led the students into more confusion and left them with more questions. This book clearly stands apart and above all other books which attempted to solve the mystery of the origin of sin. This book gives you an ultimate answer and explanation regarding the origin and presence of evil in the universe, which is created and ruled by a God who is absolutely good and supremely powerful. Without the fear of any contradiction, it can be said that the seasonal, logical and scriptural explanation to the mystery of the origin of evil can never be found in any other book written in any language anywhere in this world. This book is unique and a must read for every person who wants to know the cause and solution for evil. Apostle Ophir was born from a godly parentage in India in 1959 and was led by his mother to the saving knowledge of Christ at a tender age of six. He was filled with the Holy Spirit when he was ten, and was baptized when turned fifteen. He was called to God's work when he was twenty-one(1980) and resigned his job from the Central Government firm, Electronics Corporation of India Ltd. In 1982, the Lord visited Ophir while he was praying and told him, "You will write eight books of ultimate doctrinal authenticity in your mother tongue and then translate them into English and publish them and fill the whole world with these books. With that, the Reformation I began through Martin Luther will be concluded." Apostle Ophir is a poet, composer, singer, author, apologist, preacher, teacher, Church planter, philanthropist and a warrior of faith and of prayer. You can know more about him and his ministry at his website www.ophirministries.org

  • - (An application focused devotional)
    av Aramis Thorn
    260,-

Greetings Dear Reader, Thank you for investing in one of my non-fiction ventures. I have always thought that there is not enough devotional writing dedicated to applying the things we all know about the Word of God. In this work I attempt to get straight to that. I am in the process of doing it for myself and feel compelled to share it with you. This is the third book in a series of application centered commentaries. The goal is to produce tools that others may use forged out of my own journey with Christ. Feel free to join me in the discussion as we travel home and work out the truth that in Christ, we live, and move, and have our being. Aramis Thorn, writer, began his varied life in the South. After gaining many life experiences, his passion for the written word won out. Having published both researched works and fiction, his writing is as versatile as his life. Father of four children, Mr. Thorn currently resides wherever his laptop is. His main passion in life, which has led him down many paths, is to stand by the door for those who search for the way in and help them on the journey.

Spiritual Survival Beyond 2020 to the Coming Apocalypse The Book of Ruth is rife with prophetic symbolism. Within four short chapters, we find a hidden narrative of end time events. Ruth is the story of the harvest in Bethlehem. As Jesus foretold, the harvest represents the division and judgment of the last days. In the chapters leading up to "Ruth" we read the account of "the Levite's Concubine." Her tragic tale foretells the destruction of Jerusalem in 70-71 A.D. Even as her corpse was divided in 12 pieces and scattered throughout the land, Israel's 12 tribes would be divided and scattered abroad across the earth. As the book of Ruth opens, a widow named Naomi is making a homecoming. Her return to her native homeland echoes the return of the Jewish people to the promised land in 1948. The threshing floor shows the dividing of the wheat and highlights the current fighting and division happening today on the streets of America and the world. In our story, we witness the gentile bride Ruth meet and become betrothed to her redeemer, Boaz. The Marriage of Ruth and Boaz literally enacts the "Marriage Supper of the Lamb" in the book of Revelation. Even as their marital union uncovers the mystery of the Rapture, so also "Unlocking..." reveals hidden details, like "the scarlet thread" or rope of Rahab. It's blessed hope echoes the blood of Jesus, our Passover lamb. Even as that red rope marked those who would be spared, so the Rapture itself will separate the saved believers from those unsaved souls who will be left behind to face the coming judgment. In a bold timeline of events, "Unlocking..." opens biblical prophecies that reveal the Coronavirus, civil unrest, war in the Mideast and a future shaking of storms and earthquakes beyond 2020.

  • - Dennis Johnson from Death to Life

    250,-

Tossed to and fro in a sea of dysfunctional living throughout the years, it has taken almost a lifetime for me to find direction. As a toddler I began learning to deal with the everyday challenges of confusion and abuse. With no one to lead me, I naively followed the obvious broad paths to destruction. Regardless of the challenge in the battles and trials I faced, they shaped my purpose and direction in life. The hardships were not wasted; the pains had purpose. I believed I had a reputation of toughness to uphold which included alcohol and drug abuse. I walked through fire regardless of the fuel. Because of the decisions of my immature, ignorant, and willful self, I should have been maimed for life or even killed. I have been raised from the dead three times. This gradually caused me to realize there was a Power much greater than me with a purpose I would eventually realize. If it had not been for the effectual, fervent prayers of my wife and the body of Christ who relentlessly prayed for me, I might still be a source of grave concern today. Each of my family members, blood and step-, eventually came to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. If God never does another thing for me, I know He has already used my life to bring others to Him. Raymond Dennis Johnson is a 62 year old Georgia boy. He was born in Rockhill, South Carolina and raised in Georgia since he moved here when he was a toddler. He is father to two sons, Denny and Juston. Dennis' hobbies include doing mechanical work on small engines and vehicles. He loves to fish in ponds, creeks or the river. Dennis is married to his grade school sweetheart, Tracy Hubbard Johnson. In 2021, they celebrated 39 years of marriage! Dennis lived his life in and out of trouble with the law, raised in supper clubs, and knew nothing but alcohol. For him, this was a normal way of life. As Dennis grew and begin to raise his own family, he was often hindered by years and years of being ashamed and rejected as well as being an alcoholic at an early age. As you venture through the pages of this book, you will see that today, Dennis is living for and serving his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. This is a true life journey from life to death!!

WORKING WITH THE POWER OF GOD!The Ministry of Healing and Deliverance is based on working with God's supernatural power to perform works beyond human ability. This book describes the cases of seven patients who cheated death by undergoing Deliverance; and three of them had been informed by their doctors that they only had three to six months to live! And Danger Free, as no Radiation is required!Deliverance takes a fraction of the time needed for Surgery.Surgery is expensive - Deliverance is free! The evidence provided in this book demonstrates that the results of the Healing and Deliverance Ministry are instant and - if properly carried out - permanent.Jesus came to set the captives free! Distinctive and notable aspect of the Book- Allowing the Holy Spirit work in us and understanding that without Him, we are unable to conquer our weakness or subdue the flesh. Loyalty in this Journey with Christ is inevitable. As God's children we need to pledge allegiance to God. If I perish, I perish but the will of the Father for my life must be done. The Holy Spirit has taught me that it is almost impossible to receive anything from the Father outside the place of prayer. I was in the middle of prayer when these words were dropped in my spirit- The Mastery of subduing the flesh. I immediately knew it was a book, but I had no idea where to start. But by the grace of God, I picked up my pen and a book and began to write whatever came in my thoughts, miraculously even I was amazed at certain mysteries revealed in the book. Subduing the flesh is something we have to continue to do for the rest of our lives. The only way to master the art of subduing the flesh is by giving the Holy Spirit a chance to express Himself in us. Jesus Christ saw me through this Book. I am from the South South side of Nigeria, Delta state, I was born to a family of Five children and I am the first of them all. I love to read my Bible, inspirational books, listen to sermons from a select few of preachers and I love to watch movies at my spare time. The decadence of morality in the world today and how the world is rejecting the sacrifice of my Savior Jesus Christ inspired me to write the book. My website is www.childoftheking.teachersden.org.

  • - How to Cope with Infertility (and Help Those Who Are Experiencing It)
    av Blair Parke
    186,-

You can't wait to look at the test; you just knew for sure you were pregnant. Clothes seem to fit tighter, your appetite increased, and you can smell anything. But when you read the negative pregnancy test, the reality of your situation sinks in: you are still dealing with infertility. And you are not alone. One in eight couples struggle with starting a family, watching others see their parenting dreams come true as theirs seem to crumble. However, your infertility is not a punishment, but a journey that God has placed you as a couple on to learn and grow from. It is a chance for not only a husband and wife to endure together, but a chance for those around them to aid in that growth. The new book Empty Hands Made Full delves into infertility, from biblical times to present-day, as author Blair Parke discusses a topic many know about but few talk about. Having struggled to start a family with her husband Jeremy, Blair shares with readers their infertility journey to instill important truths about childlessness and how others in the Bible experienced the same dealings with infertility until God answered their prayers. As a secondary part, the book also focuses on helping those closest to couples dealing with infertility, advising ways they can help a couple best during this difficult time. The additional testimonies of four brave women are offered here as well to illustrate how infertility has affected them and ways people reached out to help that demonstrated God's presence in their lives. Infertility is not something anyone wants to experience, but the hope is that Empty Hands Made Full can offer a little encouragement and reminder that God still has plans for your parenting dreams.

Pondering of a Soul by Patricia Walden is an inspiring collection of poetry that addresses different themes of life and details the author seeking the Lord to help her through it all.The author writes with descriptive imagery that draws readers in to the poems. Readers will be able to relate to her words as she describes the ups and downs of life and crying out to the Lord.I was born an Ozark's, country girl, transplanted to the urban environments of St. Louis, Los Angeles, Chicago and New York. God blessed me with the people He brought into my life. He provided opportunities, as well as mentors and those who challenged, tested and encouraged me.As a woman, I quickly learned to approach any situation as a peer and not an underling. I always held to my godly worldview while respecting the other person's right to their own for we will all stand before the throne. My faith is what carries me through this bramble bush of life. In the past 20 years I have known the loss of a father, a brother, a brother, a husband, a sister, a mother, a brother and many others my heart grieves. Life has taken me to my knees. I hold them all dear and within. He gives me hope of being with them again. I have written this book to say, don't place your hope in this world. av REV David A Siczko
    390,-

I wrote this book to share with you the life of my dear late father, Rev. Alexander I. Siczko and all those wonderful people together who helped to make the ministry of Good Shepherd Bible Church possible. My father was an old-fashioned pastor who lived for basically three things in his life. He loved the Lord. He loved his family and he loved God's people. He would get up in a rainstorm in the middle of the night to go and pray for the sick, because he cared for them. He had opportunities in his younger days to be successful in business, but he loved the Lord more, reasoning that he had only one life and it was better spent ministering to the needs of a suffering sin wounded world needing Christ. I am in the ministry today because my Dad and Mom were the same persons at church and at home. They taught me the love of Christ by living for Him in our home and in public. This book tries to depict an honest portrayal of the spiritual victories and trials of a pioneer Pastor.

I came from nowhere with no particular talents or gifts. Then, the Holy Spirit touched me. Now there is nothing I cannot do through our Lord Jesus Christ! He gives me gifts daily to do what Abba asks me to do, along with miracles and wonders, He provides when needed. We all go through tests and trials, but if we endure, trust, seek, and obey, He is always faithful. The journeys we are on are designed by Him to give us wisdom and grow our faith. He teaches us discernment and how to apply our gifts in every situation. Through the faith and trust we have in Jesus, He fulfills each prayer we ask of Him.The doubt diminishes and the miracles and wonders increase with our trust, obedience and seeking. Because HE is ever faithful. This book tells of my prayers to Abba beginning with giving me the faith to believe Jesus is my salvation, to the faith of knowing the Father loves me enough to teach me unconditional love (which is an ongoing lesson). Knowing I can do nothing, absolutely nothing, without the Father. This is the story the Father gave me. I know there is not another like it in all this world because each of us is very different and very special. All glory to You, Father. It was approximately fifty long years of corruption, destruction, and ignorance before I let the Holy Spirit come into my life. Now my friends and family call me a Jesus Freak-defined in the Urban Dictionary as someone who displays an unusual or embarrassing amount of enthusiasm for Jesus. I am generally a quiet introvert-but let the Spirit in me take over and there is no shutting me up. Giving our Lord all the glory!

Grateful for Grace is a collection of anecdotes and reflections, shared by the author to encourage and inspire the caregiver. It serves as a reminder that the endeavor of caregiving is not a solo act, but rather a selfless act of love, requiring an intentional dependency on God. In all things, one must hasten to seek God's guidance and direction for wisdom throughout the journey. Donna Olivia, a native Floridian, is a retired teacher with over 35 years of experience in education, having taught dance, gifted education, and reading. She feels that working with children, by teaching through the arts, is her calling from God. Olivia resides in Georgia with her husband, Theodore, son Joseph, and mother, Ms. Grace.

A Walk with God will show you that you can have "A Brighter Tomorrow," as we have "A Moment of Joy" here and there along the way. The words of the poems contained within these pages display a walk with God through years of growth. They begin with an acknowledgement that Jesus is truly a man who was "Fishing for the Wasted Few". If you feel you are one of the "wasted few," this collection will ease your heart and show you that walking with God daily can be done. If you feel God is searching for you or "fishing" for you; or you are looking for God in your daily life, be ready to jump onto Jesus' hook. He loves you, he will put a smile on your face and give you contentment. As you turn to pray, and as some of these poems talk about, God will be there with you, quieting the distant flapping of outside distractions and guiding in words he longs to hear from you. "A voice said listen to me, my dear child and learn and grow in knowledge..." God loves you as His dear child and wants you to listen to him and grow in the knowledge that he is always walking with you. He is your Savior. He is loving and guiding you whether you have a "Sad Face" or are on your knees. A Walk with God is not a "how to get to God" book. It is a book of poems written from the heart. And that heart has stayed closely filled with God's love throughout the 40-plus years of poems that God has given the author throughout many, many different phases of his life Perhaps they will speak to you as well and help you have a richer, fuller walk with God. James Walkup has lived in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife and family for 45 years. He is an accomplished artist having graduated with Honors from the San Francisco Art Institute. In addition to his BFA, James has received a Certificate in Computer Electronics and during his final job as a Senior Quality Technician, wrote numerous instructions for the other technicians. One of James' dreams has always been to express his faith in God through his art work. Writing poetry is one way he has been able to do this, expressing his love for God throughout the 43 years he has walked with God.
