  • - Therefore i Think
    av Ehm Keih
    241

A Paradigm Shift European philosophy took the world by storm in the Enlightenment. Luminaries of the Age of Reason assured the globe they had the brain power to solve mankind's problems. But despite their best efforts - or more accurately, because of them - the world in subsequent centuries found itself progressively falling apart. Nations were disintegrating from within, spiritually adrift and morally bankrupt. The fruit of the Enlightenment seemed to have rotted on the vine. This book is a paradigm shift. It unapologetically critiques the faulty premises of the European intellectualism that gave rise to Western philosophy. It shows how the various systems of thought birthed by this intellectualism corrupted and misled human society on a global scale. Thinkers constructed ever more complex, and sometimes outrightly absurd, abstractions as they struggled to capture The Truth of existence. By the record and evidence of their own ultimate futility, the systems of thought failed to hit the mark. They failed because they abandoned the one approach that would have led people and their nations to great well-being in every sphere of life. The "meaning of life" is not the unknowable mystery European intellectualism enticed the world to believe it was. Students and professors of philosophy and Western civilization will find the insights presented here revelatory. They are powerful reasons for rejecting the grave errors of the past. Individuals and nations can and should rediscover the sure path to societal wellbeing, and begin to step into new realms of personal understanding and fulfilled living. The writer was born in Eastern Africa. Early in his career as a journalist he trained and worked as a sub-editor at the Newcastle Chronicle and Journal newspapers, in North-East England. He was also a Press Fellow at Wolfson College, University of Cambridge, UK. His professional development included stints as Features Editor at the Daily Nation and East African Standard newspapers in Nairobi, Kenya, and later Managing Editor, The Standard, Kenya. He has traveled extensively in Europe, the Far East, Africa and the US. He authored an apologetics handbook, The Trinity: A Scientific Fact, at Amazon Kindle.

  • - El Diseno para la Iglesia
    av Joel Aviles
    257

SEVENTY STEPS UPON MOUNT GRACE is an inspired treatise from an adult mind. In it, the author looks back on a journey that has spanned some momentous decades of his life. From a life lived majorly under the tropical sun of Africa, it all started through a sublime one-man one-wife setting as the author relives his parental history and that of his late siblings that were once his co-travelers. Copiously recounted are the adventure of youth, his early education years and the fond memories of Christ's school - a unique institution of learning founded by missionaries from England. At middle age, higher local and foreign educational pursuits combined with work life to launch him towards a career pathway within the Water Resources engineering sector. There were dark clouds that literally hovered around his 'mountains' and inexplicably tampered with the door to glory. Then came Grace. Its ample dose couldn't be lost on the author. This was the springboard he needed to unwrap the story of a blessed life and his hope to humbly give something back to his community. Victor Adebayo OKE was born in Ikere, Ekiti State, Nigeria in 1950. He studied at Christ's school, Ado Ekiti and The Polytechnic, Ibadan, Nigeria. In 1982 he was at Loughborough University of Technology, England, for the MSc degree in Civil engineering, specializing in Water and Waste Engineering for Developing Countries (WEDC) His career in public service started at the State Water Corporation, Ondo State, Nigeria. He served variously as General Manager and Permanent Secretary in Government Ministries in Ekiti State before his retirement in 2007. He is a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (MNSE), Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) and the American Society of Civil Engineers. (P.E., M.ASCE)

Reminders are essential aids to our safety. They often support us in being present in the moment. We have several ways of reminding ourselves from the use of a timer or our "to-do lists", or alarms. Reminders are essential reinforcements in how we should treat others - kindness nor patience is never overrated - Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares (Heb. 13:2 KJV).The Bible is a book of hope for people of faith in Jesus. It serves as the most prominent and permanent of reminders that we serve an incredibly awesome God who secured personal salvation for us through the sacrificial offering of His Son Jesus when we were enemies of God. Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our LORD Jesus Christ, 6 You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly (Rom. 5:1,6 NIV). Scriptural reminders bolster our faith that we serve a risen Savior who loves us and one day we'll live with Him forever. Some trials can lead to spiritual amnesia but - remember; He is also present in our darkest times.Always remember we are His children: Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, Abba, Father (Gal. 4:6); Always remember we are created by Him for good works: For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them (Eph. 2:10); And always remember we are created in His image: So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them (Gen. 1:27).

  • av Scott Allan Troske

This is an exceptional piece of literature that begins when he was a small child. He had a good start in life, with a good foundation to grow on, until things became a state of KAOS and turmoil. Struggling to understand what his purpose in life was, his life became a living nightmare. He had no way to understand why he was in a state of abandonment at such a young age, but it was real. He learned to take care of himself and deal with life in a way that would lead him in many directions. Being more street-raised and hardened, he fell into a life of drugs, women, and money. These were now his path to dealing with life and the consequences thereafter. Twists and turns were a new way of life for Scott. He found an escape through music, but it brought him to a heightened state of desire for drugs, women, and money. Stardom was in his grasp, but it was really an apple dangling in front of him. Things in life got harder because of the decisions he made and brought him to a point of becoming an eyesore to the public and legal authorities. The consequences were severe and getting worse; incarceration at many levels was now quickly becoming his lifestyle. He soon found himself with walls that were too high to scale. In Waiting, author Scott Troske writes about his experiences serving time in prison and his journey to Christ, showing how God used him to make a difference behind bars and help bring others to know the Lord.

    av India Faith

As you open the first page of this book you will find that my heart is after God and He is the Supreme Source in my life! This devotional is by no means structural and or formed as what society or the world see book writing to be. This is intentional! The reason for this is because I did not go to God with structure and format. I have always approached our Abba Father from the core of my imperfect heart. Pouring out my need and want of Him. Understanding He is the answer to my life and all things in it. My prayer as you read is for the spirit of the Lord behind the prayer to connect to the spirit of the Lord in you drawing you closer to Him. Understanding He desires the truth of our heart no matter how ugly it maybe at times, and no matter what that truth maybe in each moment. He is the God of the great exchange! He alone; is the fixer of all things. These are some moments and prayers I've released to God over the years of my life. Please note that no two days are the same, and through out the day we are praying for different things at different times depending on the flow of the day; what has been presented to us and the challenges and or victories. If I can encourage you on anything, I encourage you to "Rejoice Evermore, pray with out ceasing, in everything give thanks for this is the Will of God in Christ Jesus" "Quench not the spirit, despise not prophesyings, prove all things, hold fast to that which is good. Abstain from all appearances of evil. And the God of peace sanctify you wholly. May you be kept blameless. India Faith She is a single mother of three who has a passion to follow Christ at all cost. Whose surrender is to the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. She is one who knows it is through God's grace, mercy, love, and salvation she has won. Won every challenge, every lie, every enemy, and every lie she has believed about herself. India Faith lives by the rule of her employer is her job, but life in Christ is her career. Where passion is the heart follows, and her passion is Christ! In Jesus name amen. Website: Snlsentity.com

Everyone wants to be loved. From TV shows to songs on the radio to the latest celebrity news of who's dating who, finding true love is always on our minds. As Christians, however, we sometimes struggle in the search for a love that honors God. How do we find the person the Lord has for us, and how will we know when we've found them? Behold the Man! by Viola J. Horton discusses what Christians should consider when seeking God-ordained relationships but ultimately focuses on the One True Love we must seek first and foremost-the Lord. Using the story of the Samaritan woman at the well whose life was transformed when she met Jesus, Viola shows how finding our meaning and purpose in the Lord is the only way to quench the longing and desire in our hearts. And with the Lord's timing and direction, we will meet the person He has for us and will be ready for that new adventure. After all, who knows better about love than the One who is love? This book is a must-read for single Christians who are looking for the right partner for godly marriages. Based on true stories from the Word of God, personal observations, and real-life experiences, Behold the Man! contains biblical wisdom and insightful commentary that will be very valuable to those who desire to be equally yoked. Stop wasting time, good years, and energy pursuing relationships that the Lord does not have for you. Before you can make a love connection, you must make the God connection. It's time to turn to the only One who can fill the void of loneliness inside you. And once He transforms you, your life will never be the same. Hi, I'm Pastor/Prophetess Viola J. Yet, to unravel the benefits for each day, we need a daily manual that we can read and apply, and this is where the Grace Daily Devotional comes in. The Grace Daily Devotional serves as an operational manual for us each day. The wisdom and instructions contained in this devotional are the out-breathing of the Holy Ghost. They are the answers to prayers. Each devotional is inundated with the power of the Holy Ghost to heal the sick, dissolve doubts, and to set you on course for a victorious day. However, to maximize its benefits, you must read it, declare out loud the faith-filled confessions, and walk in the light of wisdom that it delivers.

Love Is the Answer! We need to remember our children are watching what we are doing. They are going to base their future relationships on how we handle ours. Mothers and fathers, we need to love each other first and fill our homes with that love so it surrounds our children and makes them feel safe and secure in that love. Our family members are the ones who will give us the grades on our life's report card. It is how they "grade" us that is important. We do not want to fail when it comes to our family relationships. Our job as parents is to make life explainable to them by example so they can function the right way when they are grown and have their own families and children. That means you need to do things with the proper life rules. Love is the answer. When you learn to love your family as God intended, you will make things run smoothly for everyone around you. My goal is for this book to give you the tools to help you achieve this in your family.

  • - Building Intimate Friendships One Brick at a Time
    av Anthony E Gael

Trust. Humility. Faithfulness. Belief in someone's potential. These are the four essential bricks crucial to growing intimate friendships with people. But there can be more - much more! If we can use these four building bricks in growing intimate friendships with one another, shouldn't we use the same building blocks to grow an intimate friendship with God? This is a question author Tony Gael has asked for many years. Since becoming a Christian at the age of six and with all of the years of spiritually traveling, not to mention the amount of spiritual wrestling, Tony has come to the inescapable belief that yes, we can, and yes, we should. But how? Tony is a self-described Christian adventurer and explorer. He has experienced traversing the high and mighty mountain peaks (oh boy!) and walked through the low and sandy deserts (oh no!). But a Christian needn't experience these things alone. God has not made life in such a way as to go it alone. He has made us experience life through friendships with one another (cool) and with Him (awesome!). So, grab some bricks, some mortar, and a trowel, and let's start building together. Tony is a graduate of Emmaus Bible College and Denver Seminary. He expresses his love for God in poetry, his blog (Trippin with Tony) and in a public speaking ministry, 1U Ministries. He is a grandfather, loves babies (his favorite church ministry, other than teaching, is hanging out in the baby nursery) and Iowa Hawkeye wrestling (the wrestling is more like an addiction).

Deer Stand Revelations is a collection of revelations that God has given me through life events, outdoor excursions and hunting and fishing adventures. Having always had a love for the outdoors, I have spent most of my life working, playing, hunting, fishing, hiking and just spending time outside. That love turned into a passion for God's creation at the moment of my salvation. God began to speak to me when I was in a deer stand or when I was standing beside a body of water with a fishing pole in my hand. God showed me purpose in His creation and taught me lessons through successes and failures afield. Through a gentle whisper in the wind or a beautiful note from a songbird, He gave me hope. In an errant shot or misplaced arrow, He taught me humility. In an amazing sunrise, He sent me back to my childhood and gave meaning to the good and bad things that I have lived and seen. God didn't give me all of this revelation to keep to myself. He called me to share it with the world. Deer Stand Revelations is my answer to that call. My name is Marty Ray Perkins. I was born on July 21, 1961 in Roxboro N.C. I grew up on a small, family owned, tobacco farm. I have always enjoyed hunting, fishing and outdoor adventures. I love to look for Native American artifacts. I am a songwriter and enjoy singing and playing the guitar. Spending time with my family, especially my grandchildren, in the outdoors is my favorite pastime. I teach Sunday School and I am an ordained deacon at my church. Writing Deer Stand Revelations is an answer to God's calling.

Many Christians have felt the guilt of anxiety and depression because those struggles have been perceived as moral failure or lack of faith. BREATHE is a book that brings Biblical understanding to how anxiety and depression develop offering practical tools to overcome negative emotions. Praying more or reading your Bible often won't necessarily change your emotions. BREATHE unlocks God's Truth about mental health and when applied will help successfully extricate you from anxiety, depression, anger, bitterness, fear and a host of negative emotions. You have the power to change! Join me in this healing journey applying these tested principles that bring lasting and meaningful transformation. Tim has 45 years of Lead Pastor experience. Now retired from full-time ministry, Tim teaches weekly at Torrey Pines Church in La Jolla California.
