As you open the first page of this book you will find that my heart is after God and He is the Supreme Source in my life! Having always had a love for the outdoors, I have spent most of my life working, playing, hunting, fishing, hiking and just spending time outside. That love turned into a passion for God's creation at the moment of my salvation. God began to speak to me when I was in a deer stand or when I was standing beside a body of water with a fishing pole in my hand. God showed me purpose in His creation and taught me lessons through successes and failures afield. Through a gentle whisper in the wind or a beautiful note from a songbird, He gave me hope. In an errant shot or misplaced arrow, He taught me humility. In an amazing sunrise, He sent me back to my childhood and gave meaning to the good and bad things that I have lived and seen. They must "ENDURE" hardship as a Good Soldier of Christ. They are "ENGAGED" in spiritual warfare-the battle between good and evil, light and darkness. They must not be "ENTANGLED" with the affairs of this world. If they do, the one who enlisted them will not be pleased. A good soldier bears impeccable testimony like Apostle Paul, who said in 2 Timothy 4:7, "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith."
