  • - Restoring your children back to God Life and Death is in the power of the tongue Proverbs 18:21
    av Kymberly Tahirah Johnson
    181

The purpose of this book is to give you a tool to defect the enemy over your children and in you''re house hold. This is not a tool to make every problem go away; walking with God will always make the devil hate you. Life happens to us all, but with God all things are possible. The bible says that the thief (devil) comes to steal and to kill and destroy, but I (Jesus) came that you may have life and that more abundantly (John 10:10). The devil is always going to be after you and your seed. But Jesus came and defeated the enemy on your behalf and has given you who are His, the authority to apply the living word of the Lord over your children and every situation that you face. It''s time to take back your God given right and war for your children until they are able to war for themselves. Don''t hear what I''m not saying. I not telling you if your children are grown and have a disrespectful spirit, rebellious or not following the rules that you have to allow this behavior to continue in your home. No if it''s time for your son or daughter to move out than do that, you can still pray for your children when they are outside of the home for Gods hand to be on them. This is a tool for you to use if your children reside with you our elsewhere. I pray that this book will bless you and your family as you learn to speak life and not death over your children. Be careful to consistently watch your words before they form out of your mouth. Proverbs 15:28 says, "The heart of the Godly thinks carefully before speaking". Their use to be a saying when I was growing up that said, "Sticks and stone may hurt your bones but words will never hurt you". This statement could be no more father from the truth. The truth is sticks and stones hurt but words have a more damaging and lifelong effect over your psyche. People all over the world have been affected by something some has proclaimed and or misspoken over their lives. These effects can lead to the inability to make sound decisions, low self-esteem, anger management, lack of empathy, and many untreated conditions such as mental illness, drug and alcohol abuse, depression, ineffective coping skills and much more. Words are powerful, just like words have the capability to tear you down, words spoken over your life that encourages and supports, have the capability to uplift you and make you soar to higher heights. Psalm 19:14 says, let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable to your sight, O Lord, my rock and my Redeemer. Let''s get ready to take back our children in Jesus name. It''s your God given right to war for what God has placed in your pathway. To whom much is given, much is required Luke 12:48, It''s time to war and I have news for you The fight is fixed! You WIN... My name is Kymberly Johnson I am a bloodline breaker for my children/family and for whomever I meet. I am a seeker, a seer and hearer of God''s word. My deepest desire is to please my heavenly Father with all my heart. The Lord has blessed me with four amazing kids. Three of whom I have adopted (James, Jquan and Jayla) and one that has been graphed in (Michael). I have been a teacher of children for over 20 years with many degrees. I have always felt the Lord calling me from an incredibly young age. So, I sought the Lord at the age of 5. Jeremiah 29:13 says, ''You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all of your heart". Although I did not utterly understand all of God''s word and his amazing Love for me at the time. I felt His call and at the age of 5 I was filled with the Holy Ghost.

    177

33 miners trapped 2400 feet below the Atacama Desert in Northern Chile for 69 days in 2010 and the hundreds of rescuers working 24 hours each day all believed that it was God''s hand that brought these men to the surface. The details of the rescue and the details of their prayers and praise to God are what this book is about. It was by God''s hand that the rescuers continued drilling until contact was made day 17. It was by God''s hand that a rare rainstorm occurred just a few days before the day 17 contact was made in this the driest desert on earth. This created a flowering desert which gave the rescuers and family members on site hope.It was by God''s hand that the NASA officials on site for the rescue could view the night sky in a place where astronomers come from all over the world due to the clarity of vision in this desolation. The Epilogue of this book details God''s hand in the rescue of 18 miners trapped underground at the Quecreek Mine in Somerset, Pennsylvania in July of 2002.9 of the men were trapped for 3 ┬╜ days. At one point the water raised up to their necks until the massive pumping effort with massive machinery started to reduce the level. It was by God''s hand that one of the drilling companies at Quecreek, sent two men and the drill to Chile to assist the rescue effort there.

  • - 183 Devotionals to Plant in 365 Days: Still other seeds fell on fertile soil, and they sprouted, grew, and produced a crop that was thirty, sixty, and even a hundred times as much as had been planted! (Mark 4:8 NLT)
    av Demario L Rollins
    247

In today''s busy world, it is so important to stay grounded in the Word of God. With our busy schedules and hectic lives, we can sometimes reason with ourselves that we don''t have time to do a devotional or read the Bible. But this couldn''t be further from the truth.Destination Heartland: 183 Devotionals to Plant in 365 Days is an inspiring collection of succinct devotionals by author Demario Rollins. Written out of years of experience and his personal relationship with God, Demario has created a devotional that poses scriptures to meditate on each day and challenges readers with applications to put the scriptures into practice. Each entry is brief enough to be done in a few minutes while still allowing readers to devote time to hearing the Word of God and creating the mental and spiritual framework to "do" the scripture during the day and following days, all while underscoring the truth that the entire Bible is God-breathed and inspired.Inspired by his time as a small group leader and seeing the fruit produced by sharing his devotionals with its members, Demario is now bringing the same opportunity to the world, inviting readers to come along on the journey with each devotional able to be reflected on and applied twice in the 365 days. If you are ready for spiritual transformation and want to be a doer, not just a hearer, of the Word, this book is for you! Make this next year your spiritually best yet! Demario Rollins has regularly enjoyed serving in numerous roles of ministry including teacher, jail minister and youth group leader to name a few. He has a doctorate degree in Pharmacy from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University and is a practicing pharmacist. Demario''s inspiration for this book was a deep desire to provide the reader a succinct publication to pursue God through daily devotion. This unique presentation provides a daily "Scripture" and a daily "Application" to be covered twice in one year. Demario and his wife and three children make their home near Little Rock, Arkansas.

  • - The Existential Crisis and the Gospel Message
    av Eric Folds
    257

The book is about the historical proof of the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead based on verifiable ancient history. The book is also about the 150,000 hours of research done on the ancient relic known as the Shroud of Turin, but also how the information studied proves the resurrection based on the science explained by particle physicists. This treatise identifies the cause of the existential crisis in man which leads to despair and the common issues of anxiety, severe depression, insecurity, and fear. This book provides hope for all in an existential crisis through understanding the meaning and purpose for their existence, God''s eternal plan and purpose for individuals, and the in-depth theology of atonement which brings man into a relationship with a loving God. This book is the good news about the Savior of the world and his special love for his elect people. The love was manifested by the sacrifice he made for those foreknown and predestinated by him before the world began. Eric Folds is the Pastor of The Christian Church of God, Inc and the Dean of Christian University and Theological Seminary. He has authored numerous books. • - Hope and TRUTH for Today
    av Nancy Hollywood-Leamer
    301

The engaging concept, "Why Go Anywhere Else?" creates common bonds with readers; plainly answering profound questions. This book reads like a down-to-earth conversation, while confronting the subject of TRUTH without exception or apology. What is truth? In today''s world, the word truth has become ambiguous - embracing new "woke" terms, like "my truth" or "your truth." With an easygoing and relatable style, reflecting on the uncertainty of life itself, leading readers to the only truth that really matters; the TRUTH about where they will spend eternity.Exposing the battle for every soul, the spiritual warfare in the world today, and Satan''s mission to destroy us through deliberate diversion, distraction and deception. Taking a flash tour from the beginning of time to the end of the world; clearly laying out God''s eternal plan, the options of our destiny, and the gravity of the choice that belongs to each of us. Addressing the weighty topics of eternity, death, heaven and hell; yet lifting them up with optimism, and a glorious hope that shines through like a beacon of light. Ultimately, offering to those seeking truth, a compelling case for Jesus, who stunningly claimed to be "The way, the TRUTH and the life." Nancy Hollywood-Leamer, began her journey of faith nearly 40 years ago, on a rocky road of blessings, trials and many tragedies; most recently, the death of her beloved daughter, Nichol. By the grace of God, she''s still walking, and now, with a strong desire to lead others to the place of forgiveness, fresh starts and happy endings. That place is found where her journey began; at the foot of the cross. She offers us hope, as we consider the frailty of life. The hope that can only be found in Jesus Christ - the one who conquered death and lives forever.

The purpose of writing this book, is to encourage readers to not give up on their dreams and aspirations that have been put into their spirit by God, Himself. You are predestined to succeed in your life. But that doesn''t mean that you won''t have some vicissitudes and challenges to contend with. Once the dream or aspiration is in place into your spirit or heart, it''s left of to you to make the effort of bringing it to pass by faith. Remember you have the God of the universe on your side. What are you saying to yourself? Are you looking at the challenges with doubt and fear? Saying to yourself, I''m not worthy of what I see in my future, or I''m not able to accomplish dreams. because of my back ground and where I was raised. Stop speaking defeat, and start speaking. "I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me." You should be able to see by my testimony, that it does not matter how you start out in life. What matters is that God has His Hands on your life, and you are determined to achieve certain goals in your life. You can accomplish all of your goals with the help of God. He will protect you from all dangers and help you with obstacles, when you are a part of His kingdom, having received Jesus Christ as your personal savior. He protected me from, abusive relatives an abusive parent and the war in Vietnam. He protected me from an drug overdose and alcoholism. He gave me the spirit as a child to start speaking over my own life, what things that I would accomplish in my life. Even with all of the challenges that I faced, and all of them are not mentioned in this book. God allowed me to achieve goals in my life. That I know for sure. Start speaking!

The tree in my front yard has green leaves, if a voice is telling me they are blue; the voice is lying to me. The rose bush has pink flowers, if a voice is telling me they are brown; the voice is lying. The lilac has lavender flowers, green leaves, the stems are gray; if I am told anything different; the voice is lying. If I go to God in prayer, and a voice is telling me something contrary to what God''s written Word says; the voice is lying and it isn''t God speaking to me.Even Jesus when His ministry started, being tempted by the devil, had a voice telling Him something contrary to what God''s Word says. In Luke 4:4 Jesus responded to the devil, "No! The Scripture says."Please don''t just listen to any voice. What does scripture say? If it is God''s voice you are hearing, it will have God''s Word as its witness. God doesn''t lie, God will not tell you it is okay to do something contrary to His Word. This is how we know what God is saying, which will be different from what the devil is saying. God''s written Word confirms what we are hearing. The Lessons God Taught a Simple Man, comes from moments like this. I spent time listening to God and aligning it with His Word. Then I followed His direction and put it to pen. This book was written with a desire to share what God has taught me. I wanted you to know that you are not alone. God will speak to you, as He spoke to me.May the love of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christcause you to abound unto every good work. Those that have ears, let them hear. Richard Durdel loves Jesus Christ, the Son of Living God, who is his Lord and Savior with his whole heart. In the 1980''s, Richard went to college but didn''t graduate. He has some education, however, he by no means is a theologian. Richard considers himself to be blue collar, as many of you that read this book may be. The words written down may not always flow fluently but they are the words that God has given him. Richard prays you understand as he has understood.

  • - A 365-Day Poetic Devotional
    av Henry W Gurley
    457

"In You Alone", the book''s title and lead poem, was inspired by Andre Rieu''s violin rendition of "You Raise Me Up". The other poetic endeavors were inspired by God Who has been most generous in handing me the words to my poems. For each poem I offer due praise to Him for His Gift.In 1988 I suffered a heart attack in Anchorage, Alaska while on a job assignment there. That event got my full attention. Disabled by the heart attack, I began writing novels and poetry, reflecting on the many gifts God had shared with me over the years. This attention-getting event has led me to publish three novels and seven books of poetry since that date.Poetry, in my opinion, is to be shared and should a line or two touch someone''s heartstrings, I am delighted. For my effort, God receives the honor and the glory which He so richly deserves. As you read the poems, perhaps in your daily devotionals, I trust that a line or two will touch your heartstrings as you meditate upon God''s Love and His Grace. The 84-year old author resides in Herriman, Utah. He was born in the tiny farm community of Ace, Texas, the ninth and youngest child of a sharecropping family. He graduated at the top of his class in Huntsville, Texas in 1955 and attended Sam Houston State Teachers College and Rice Institute (both now of University level).Other than his love of writing, he is an avid duplicate bridge player, having attained the rank of Ruby Life Master in January 2020.Though he now resides in Utah, he has remained a member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church in Houston, Texas, his home before moving to Utah three years ago.

"Life is largely a matter of expectation." Roman poet Horace (Quintus Horatius Flaccus), who coined the phrase "Carpe diem" or "Seize the day," seems to suggest that from the moment we rise each morning to the moment we lay down to sleep, we are filled with expectation. Yet, others would disagree asserting that it is best to live without expectations in order to avoid painful disappointment. I submit to you that we can neither live without expectation or disappointment. So, that leaves us with the need to learn to manage our expectations and minimize disappointment. That''s what this book aims to do. At the completion of your reading, you should understand the essence of expectation; the levels of expectation; with whom you should place your expectations; and when to stick your neck out in expectation. Further, if at the outset of your reading you subscribed to life with "no expectations," perhaps at your completion you will be free to more safely expect again. Stan Rayford has over 20 years of experience as pastor of Restoration Fellowship Tabernacle of Detroit and as a licensed professional counselor. He has earned an MA in Theological Studies and a second MA in Pastoral Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary. He holds a BA in Journalism from the University of South Carolina.

  • - Allowing the dark times of life to bring forth your purpose
    av H G Franklin
    247

Darkness is defined as the partialor total absence of light.Darkness can be the ever-present feelingof being sad and without hopeSo why does God allow it?Perceptions of darkness have always been negative. So how can one perceive that embracing the darkness would be positive? H.G. Franklin is a prime example of using this approach in his life. Franklin gives a synopsis of a time of darkness during his life. He explains how he felt that God should have delivered him from this darkness - after all, he had been faithful, and he had a relationship with God. Why would God allow bad times, sad times, and all things negative (DARKNESS) to invade your life? H.G. Franklin gives personal testimony of how he found freedom through his embrace. He uses real-life examples and parallels his "darkness" to those who experienced darkness in the Bible, such as Joseph and Job. This book is encouraging and easy to read. However, it will challenge your present definition and perception of darkness. The author gives a refreshing account of how God took him through this process. Continue to read and allow this book to help you see the light that can be found in darkness. H.G. Franklin II is a native of Kansas City, MO. He is a loving fiancé, father and son, which he credits for his determination and perseverance. Having grown up in the church and sitting under the leadership of some great men of God, his passion for ministry was birthed early in life. He admits that he made choices in life that lead to various life lessons, some of which might have made others crumble. H.G. decided to Embrace those dark places in his life and allow them to become part of his purpose.

So often when we study the Word of God, or as we call it, the Bible, we continue to revisit those familiar passages, drama, and portrayals that we have become accustomed to over the years. While it is good to repeat them it also subjects us to taking them for granted. When I introduce a new believer to the Bible, I suggest the believer begins to read the Gospel of John first and they read it for seven times. The first time they read it just as it is without stopping to digest the words or meanings. However, each time they repeat the reading they take time to better understand what they have read more so than the previous time until they are now beginning to see the whole picture of the book with the flow of the coming life, living life and giving life of Jesus Christ as the Son of God. They then can better understand who He was, who He is and who He will remain to be. His coming, His living, His death, His resurrection and His ever being our advocate and presiding Savior for all of eternity. Work has a bigger purpose for Christians than just earning money or meeting the temporal needs of people. There is a connection between what we do and what God wants done in the world. There is a misconception that Christians sometimes have that working in "full-time ministry" (as a pastor, missionary, or church worker, etc.) is the only way to make their work lives count in serving God. Yet, God uses us in different work roles to meet needs, acting as an extension of His provision for His creation. With this knowledge that our working lives are our ministry no matter what our vocation, readers can begin to look for opportunities to be used by God and receive a rejuvenation in purpose and calling. The Value of Work in the Eyes of God focuses on the theology of work and the connection between work and faith, discussing how the Lord uses our working lives as our ministry. The book covers a deep analysis of several areas: review of literature dealing with "theology of work," historical views and attitudes toward work, scriptural data related to work, and practical ways to incorporate faith with work. DOUGLAS E. WOOLLEY earned four university degrees in the areas of Computer Science and Theology. He currently works for JPMorgan Chase & Co. as a Software Engineer, after having worked for Verizon for many years as a Systems Engineer. Since early 2018, he serves as the International Secretary for the Full Gospel Business Men''s Fellowship International (FGBMFI). As a senior in high school, Doug placed among the top in the USA in mathematics, computer programming, and science. He is an international speaker, teacher, and author. West presents a life-changing preponderance of evidence for the historicity of the Bible. He provides a compelling examination of the evidence for the truth of the Bible and Christianity, including archeological findings, documented historical literature, fulfilled prophecies, and statistical probabilities. This book was written out of my heart''s desire to understand the why and wherefore of the common practices of Christianity. Although this book is written for the new believer, it is also a refresher for the person who has forgotten the reasons why we do...what we do.Many of the characteristics of the Church are not addressed as to its origin.Thereby, the New Believers often are missing out on the essential knowledge of why we need for such actions. In overlooking these precepts, we thereby miss the enabling power and meaning of trademarks of the belief system. But it is important that we all understand the need for the concepts in the Word. Why do we baptize? Why do we take communion? This book explores the possibilities of Christian terms and how that they relate to the believer of Jesus Christ. Also, there are testimonies that will remind you of the love of Jesus Christ. These testimonies are taken from a people who, just like you, found that God met them in their lives. It is my hope that this will be a tool that leads the reader into possibilities which await the children of a Mighty God. Author Penny Kirksey lives in Tupelo, MS. as a wife, mother and grandmother. Having served in many areas of the church over the last forty years, Penny ministers primarily as a Prophetic Intercessor. It was her curiosity of the expected traditions of the church that caused her to spend time researching the purposes of the terms and foundations of the Christian belief system.

Dear parents, I wrote this book to share my knowledge to you and children thirteen years old and older to help them navigate through life. In fact, this book will benefit parents and children from generation to generation. I just want to make sure that they don't make the same mistake as we did as parents. We need to tell them the truth and set a good example by doing what is right. We need to teach them the word of God. We need to take great care of them by loving, appreciating, respecting and supporting them. We need to teach them what life is about. So, our kids can achieve a better life. Children, if you read this book and you follow at least twenty five percent of the book. You probably will achieve a better life for you and your future family. I just want you to know that, the easy way doesn't mean it is the right way. The world is yours and no one can take it from you as long as you do things right. You need to understand that nothing is impossible in life unless you make it that way. Try your best to do things the right way and remember every choice has a consequence, good or bad. Parents and children, I suggest you read all this book and try to follow as much as you can to achieve a better life. Thank you My name is Hubert Severe. I'm Haitian. I have been here for twenty years. I worked in laundry facilities as a manager in Florida for over 15 years and now, I'm working as a delivery service in New York. My favorite hobby is watching cartoons. I love doing housework like cooking, laundry etc. I love sharing with others. I'm a family guy.

  • - Addressing Everyday Challenges from a Biblical Perspective
    av Raul N Wallace
    247

In his book, Milk for Babes, Strong Meat for Grown-Ups, Raul N. Wallace highlights a plurality of life's ups and downs and carefully examines them from a Biblical perspective. He invites readers to take, drink, and eat to their heart's content of the Word of God that is shared within its pages. Readers will find very little commentary on Scriptures presented on account of the author's belief that what God's Word has to say about life's challenges far outweighs whatever minuscule input he has to contribute. Regardless of where readers fall along the spectrum of spiritual growth and maturity, they will sense an invisible presence of someone letting them know they are not alone. If readers are babes in Christ, they will find spiritual milk. If they are mature believers, they will find spiritual meat. "Through a unique book of spiritual teaching and biblical insight, the author shares truth from God's Word that will inspire and motivate believers to grow in their spiritual lives, whether they are new believers or seasoned followers of the faith. With excellent wisdom, encouragement for daily life, and revelatory advice, Milk for Babes, Strong Meat for Grown-Ups is a powerful collection of practical and spiritual steps for Christians to grow in their relationship with God." Editor, Salem Author Services "I truly enjoyed reading Milk for Babes, Strong Meat for Grown-Ups. I love the way it flows as an everyday conversation. The Scriptures substantiate each topic. I love the repetition method of "Have a drink or take a bite" and "Pause-Listen-Reflect." It allows readers to identify whether to drink milk or eat meat, and possibly see where they are in their Christian walk. I also enjoyed the old adages incorporated with the slangs of the day." Dot "follows" her experiences, feelings, observations through the past (like following the "dots"), searching for why her mother never loved her. A former teacher, mother of four, active volunteer, she remembers personal, sometimes sad times, highlighting people from her past who inspired, guided, and comforted her. And, she tells of others she has "reached out to" in their life-adventures. "Dorothy Killackey has a BA Degree in Psychology from Barnard College, Columbia University and was awarded two professional Masters' Degrees: "Childhood Education" and "Adult Education" from Western Connecticut University, (both Cum Laude). "Dorothy was born in Pittsburgh, PA. and educated at college in New York City. Her hobbies are baking, crocheting, and piano-playing. She has donated dozens of her home-crocheted "lap robes" for comforting seniors, and "baby blankets" for the needy, and has spent more than twenty years accompanying at the piano the "dancer/singer" group from "The Putnam County Office for the Aging" as they entertained at local nursing homes. Her psychologist daughter inspired her to write more "personal stories" than she had been writing and so she wrote this book "Follow the 'Dot'". Since turning 90, she has taught four short-story classes to the public, encouraging others to express their thoughts and feelings. Her website: Killackeydot@comcast.net.

Claire's World is a story about a young woman who feels her life has become repetitious with no real meaning. When a young farm hand enters her life, she finds herself torn between what she knows is right and what her heart wants. It shows how hard life was on the farm in the late 1800's and how making just cents a day could keep a family fed and taxes paid. When families worked together all benefited, and how forgiveness can free lives and mend hearts. I was born in a small town in Pennsylvania, where I live today. I am in my fifties and have Four beautiful daughters, and four wonderful sons-n-laws and a supporting man in my life. I'm a Chef, and I love to cook and bake. I have been a foster mother and a home health aide, all of which I have loved doing. I like talking with people, singing in church and writing. Although I did not start writing short stories and books until I was forty. My favorite time is when my grandchildren come to visit for, they make me smile watching them in all they do. My oldest granddaughter Elizabeth Hostetler drew the inside pictures for this book, I am so proud of all of them. Although there have been heart aches in life, I truly feel that I have been blessed.

God will give you Beauty for Ashes! Everyone has a story. However, I would like to share with you of how Jesus Christ transformed my life from a lifestyle of hopelessness, despair, and defeat to a lifestyle of hope, faith and victory in Christ. I was traveling down a destructive path, searching for love, peace, rest, contentment, satisfaction, and fulfillment in all of the wrong relationships and things. Then one day, I met the Lover of my soul, and He restored my soul. I found out that I was trying to fill a void in my heart and soul that only God could fulfill. "In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God; He heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears" (Psalm 18:6). God gave me "beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness" (Isaiah 61:3a). Vernell graduated from the Baltimore School of the Bible June 5, 2006.
