Hopefully, this book will help you understand better how to serve our Lord. I am not saying this will all you will need but maybe a starting place. I have read several books that have helped me and maybe this one will help you. The books I have read are listed in this book. The best you can do is to read the Bible repeatedly and this book is not in no way to replace that. Any book you read needs to agree with the Word if it or this one does not meet that then toss it into the trash. Every servant must be prepared to serve, and this is the reason I wrote this. There is no need for us to make the same mistakes that others have made. The biggest mistake I made was thinking I had to do the work hopefully this book will help you understand who does the work and how to allow Him to use you to do His work. Was called to preach at age 36. 40 years later I still pastor a Church. Went to college at Southern Baptist College and Seminary at New Orleans Baptist Seminary. I received a Associate Degree in Theology. I have pastored eight Churches. They have been in Mississippi, Arkansas, Illinois, and Indiana. I have made many friends in Churches and have been married twice. Lost my first wife over ten years ago to a heart attack. Re married to another wonderful woman for the last five years. I have three kids and six grand kids and one great granddaughter. I live in Cherokee Village Arkansas at this time. I Pastor Grace Country Church in Sidney Arkansas. Hopefully this book will help some pastor or Christian in some way.

This book was written at the insistence of my mother-in-law and my sons. I write inspirational poetry and at times I would write about the events that happened in my life. My mother-in-law was my sounding board and after she read something I wrote, she would say to me "Son that was beautiful, have you ever considered publishing any of your poems? You really should." So, I started writing more poetry. In closing, being a black father is a difficult job, but it''s a job I would do all over again. I was able to navigate many different life situations and put them in a positive frame in an effort to help me to not only see the problem but to look also to the best solution possible. If you look at things with a positive prospective and with love, you will be amazed at the good in life that you can do. Dollison, Sr. was born in Muncie, Indiana. He went to Southside High School in Muncie, where he met his wife Phyllis in the 10th grade. They have been together 51 years and have had six children, five of who are now grown. They have fourteen grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.In 1970, David joined the US Navy and served aboard the CVA-19 USS Hancock (also known as The Hacking Hanna). David served his country till 1974, when he was honorably discharged. After his return to civilian life, David attended Laney College in Oakland, CA. He graduated in June 1977 after receiving an AA in General Education, while simultaneously employed at the Alameda Navy Rework Facility. David worked at the naval facility going from a clerk to an aircraft sheet metal journeyman mechanic until the base closed in 1995. David and his wife are retired.

Spotty Leopard''s Birthday Party Picnic Surprise by Michael Kamplain is a charming children''s book written for his granddaughter Perrie that follows the tale of Spotty Leopard and her friends. Michael writes about his love for his granddaughter and how she inspired the story. As an educator, Michael creatively uses different characters each bringing an item to the picnic to go through the alphabet. This provides an exercise that is fun but also helps children learn. Michael Kamplain is a working Pastor, college instructor and marriage and family counselor. He also works as a producer for a faith-based film company. He is a husband and father of two adult sons and has two grandchildren. The oldest grandchild is the inspiration for this book. The Marriage Institution describes marriage as instructed by God in the bible. The book sets out the origination of marriage from the garden of Eden when God made Adam and Eve and blessed them in a matrimony and then HE empowered them, and for that matter mankind, to rule and dominate the earth and multiply. And there was no mention of same sex marriage from the origination. The Marriage Institution goes on to illustrate marriage from different world cultures portraying a beautiful picture of the marriage institution from different ways and styles but all in accordance with biblical perspective. The book goes on to mention how some African marriage cultures were dominated by the European marriage culture due to the introduction of Christianity to Africa and how that led to so much controversy and misunderstanding. Hence the Marriage Institution sets out what went wrong in the African church marriage when it comes to the two cultures, which are the European and the African cultures, and how the errors could be fixed. The Marriage Institution is good for teaching, marriage counselling, can be a study book for couples and even good to read by book lovers and added to collections. Notified by the Holy Spirit in late December, 2019, that this book was to be written, it was begun in early January, 2020, and completed by the end of April, 2020. Nancy Hollywood-Leamer, began her journey of faith nearly 40 years ago, on a rocky road of blessings, trials and many tragedies; most recently, the death of her beloved daughter, Nichol. By the grace of God, she''s still walking, and now, with a strong desire to lead others to the place of forgiveness, fresh starts and happy endings. That place is found where her journey began; at the foot of the cross. She offers us hope, as we consider the frailty of life. The hope that can only be found in Jesus Christ - the one who conquered death and lives forever.

The purpose of writing this book, is to encourage readers to not give up on their dreams and aspirations that have been put into their spirit by God, Himself. You are predestined to succeed in your life. But that doesn''t mean that you won''t have some vicissitudes and challenges to contend with. Once the dream or aspiration is in place into your spirit or heart, it''s left of to you to make the effort of bringing it to pass by faith. Remember you have the God of the universe on your side. What are you saying to yourself? Are you looking at the challenges with doubt and fear? Saying to yourself, I''m not worthy of what I see in my future, or I''m not able to accomplish dreams. because of my back ground and where I was raised. Stop speaking defeat, and start speaking. "I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me." You should be able to see by my testimony, that it does not matter how you start out in life. What matters is that God has His Hands on your life, and you are determined to achieve certain goals in your life. You can accomplish all of your goals with the help of God. He will protect you from all dangers and help you with obstacles, when you are a part of His kingdom, having received Jesus Christ as your personal savior. He protected me from, abusive relatives an abusive parent and the war in Vietnam. He protected me from an drug overdose and alcoholism. He gave me the spirit as a child to start speaking over my own life, what things that I would accomplish in my life. Even with all of the challenges that I faced, and all of them are not mentioned in this book. God allowed me to achieve goals in my life. That I know for sure. Start speaking!

The tree in my front yard has green leaves, if a voice is telling me they are blue; the voice is lying to me. The rose bush has pink flowers, if a voice is telling me they are brown; the voice is lying. The lilac has lavender flowers, green leaves, the stems are gray; if I am told anything different; the voice is lying.If I go to God in prayer, and a voice is telling me something contrary to what God''s written Word says; the voice is lying and it isn''t God speaking to me.Even Jesus when His ministry started, being tempted by the devil, had a voice telling Him something contrary to what God''s Word says. In Luke 4:4 Jesus responded to the devil, "No! The Scripture says."Please don''t just listen to any voice. What does scripture say? If it is God''s voice you are hearing, it will have God''s Word as its witness. God doesn''t lie, God will not tell you it is okay to do something contrary to His Word. This is how we know what God is saying, which will be different from what the devil is saying. God''s written Word confirms what we are hearing.The Lessons God Taught a Simple Man, comes from moments like this. I spent time listening to God and aligning it with His Word. Then I followed His direction and put it to pen. This book was written with a desire to share what God has taught me. I wanted you to know that you are not alone. Richard Durdel loves Jesus Christ, the Son of Living God, who is his Lord and Savior with his whole heart. In the 1980''s, Richard went to college but didn''t graduate. He has some education, however, he by no means is a theologian. Richard considers himself to be blue collar, as many of you that read this book may be. The words written down may not always flow fluently but they are the words that God has given him. Richard prays you understand as he has understood.

"In You Alone", the book''s title and lead poem, was inspired by Andre Rieu''s violin rendition of "You Raise Me Up". The other poetic endeavors were inspired by God Who has been most generous in handing me the words to my poems. For each poem I offer due praise to Him for His Gift.In 1988 I suffered a heart attack in Anchorage, Alaska while on a job assignment there. That event got my full attention. Disabled by the heart attack, I began writing novels and poetry, reflecting on the many gifts God had shared with me over the years. The 84-year old author resides in Herriman, Utah. He was born in the tiny farm community of Ace, Texas, the ninth and youngest child of a sharecropping family. He graduated at the top of his class in Huntsville, Texas in 1955 and attended Sam Houston State Teachers College and Rice Institute (both now of University level).Other than his love of writing, he is an avid duplicate bridge player, having attained the rank of Ruby Life Master in January 2020.Though he now resides in Utah, he has remained a member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church in Houston, Texas, his home before moving to Utah three years ago.

"Life is largely a matter of expectation." Roman poet Horace (Quintus Horatius Flaccus), who coined the phrase "Carpe diem" or "Seize the day," seems to suggest that from the moment we rise each morning to the moment we lay down to sleep, we are filled with expectation. I started off in church in the children''s choir. I then been became an usher, later a missionary in the church after I graduated from High School. I played the drums for the church and then I started prophesying to individuals while I was a teenager. I moved to Virginia for 15 years, Later I moved to North Carolina where I reside with my husband Bobby and where I started preaching the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. We have 5 children, Tony, Abel, Heather, LaJoyce, Malcolm and a godson Andrew.I started preaching in 1995. I starting pastoring in 2005. Today I pastor a church, work a full time job and love on our 11 grandchildren. I am a shouting, preaching, loving, teaching and prophesying servant of the Lord.
