Life is for the living and with a lot of curves, and unfortunately some of us Christians fall and crawl through life because of our inability to recognise the Holy Spirit, and the reason why He is here. " I returned, and saw under the sun that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill, but time and chance happened to them all". If we run and walk with Him, we will finish well, because He will pick us up when we fall or when we are tired of running the race set before us; that is why He is our Helper. His desire is that we do not give up, but fight and finish well so that we can receive the crown after crossing the finishing line, after all; we are the medals that Jesus will present before the Father on that day. Only those who endures until the end same will be saved.

We are the survivors of the COVID-19The DNA of the true God healed our bodies by the spoken Word of God. My husband and I married for forty-eight years, and were in a life-and-death situation, fighting for our lives with the COVID-19 disease. This is the true story of how we survived and our relationship with God that we have that saved both of our lives. We both explain our experiences of COVID-19 disease. It was hard to explain to our own children and grandchildren that we were sick with a COVID-19, along with double pneumonia and that we could die. It was hard for us to hear the sound of their cries and hearing them all saying, "God, surely not our mom and dad grandma and grandpa! Are you going to die?" We are pastors also, so telling are our church family over the phone that we are very sick with COVID-19 and how they reacted was difficult. "Imagine-are we going to lose both of our pastor?" Apostle Sara J Price and her husband Pastor Donnie Price say God let us live to tell our true story.

Both small and large churches have continued to experience challenges relating to a declining number of youthful congregants. St. Peter's Episcopal Church is an example of churches facing this challenge. The researcher was interested in examining the role of transformational leadership in preparing youth as future church leaders. The leadership model was considered to be suitable since it has the potential to encourage youth to attend church and to participate in leadership roles. A case study approach was adopted for this project. Seven pastors and seven youth were interviewed. A self-developed interview protocol was used to gather data from the participants. The project further included review of biblical passages and relevant literature concerning the topic of transformational leadership. The results revealed that transformational leadership practices, such as: empowerment, delegation, appreciation, encouragement of creativity, and articulation of clear goals have the potential to encourage more youth to take up church-related roles and to increase their church attendance. So this project is really a work in progress. With this small beginning, it is hoped that other church leaders will be empowered to help in the implementation of this work and engage in more research as we seek to empower our youthful congregants. Rev. Dr. Michael Kiju Paul was born in Kajokeji, South Sudan. His parents were members of the Episcopal Church and his early life was influenced by their faith and that of his maternal grandmother who played a big role in his early upbringing. Michael obtained B.A. in Theology (1995), M. A. in Missiology (1997), M.A. in Theological Studies (2000), M.A. in Pastoral Care & Counseling (2011), and Doctorate, Bethel University, St. Paul, MN, (2020). Michael has served as Pastor in Episcopal Churches in California, Washington, Minnesota, North Dakota, and is currently Rector of St. Thomas Episcopal Church Wharton, Texas.

Is your heart longing for a thrilling, life-awakening adventure with God? One morning I was sitting on my comfy chair, the one where I often meet with God, when during my prayer time a picture came to me. I could see God's hand reaching down from heaven to meet my upstretched one. Then I saw the words, As Taught By My Father. God's message to me was startling, we would write a book together. The result? The book you are holding: a collection of stories from my life, and what God taught me through them. Can you see your life through heaven's perspective? Lost and Found Again, is a book about a brother and sister who in their late teens, in the mid 1800's, run away from their home in Stillwater, Minnesota to escape an abusive father. The two siblings supposedly raised in a Christian family differ in that Morgan the brother has given up on his belief in God even though his sister, Sally remains trusting in her faith having incurred most of the abuse. The story starts in 1849 with the backdrop of the historic goldrush. Their journey West to Arizona and the experiences and hardships that challenge them makes every day an adventure. The cities, riverboats, buildings, events, and society itself referenced in this book are all factual for the time with few liberties taken by the author. Morgan returns to his Christian beliefs, through the miracles and grace that God shows him using the influence of his sister, Sally. The journey back is not easy. It relates to the conflict that many face today. Wes discovered Christ at the age of 16, experiencing the true impact of faith. At 19 after the sudden loss of his father he quit college to become an entrepreneur. His faith became mixed at times, believing in God, but confused over the need for a relationship with Christ until later in life. He was a professional musician, record company executive, stockbroker, investment banker and corporate executive for a number of companies in several fields. Wes and his wife Linda live in Prescott, the Christian capital of Arizona, which provided geographical inspiration for his writing, surrounded by the history of the Old West.

The author has been studying and teaching the Bible for over 40 years. In the space of those years, the availability of Bible study tools has exploded allowing one to learn at levels impracticable a few short years ago. Taking advantage of these tools, the author began comparing several English translations to their respective Greek manuscripts. Finding several deviations, one has recently stood out - the verbs. For example, in my Bible, in several verses, the adjective "dead" is found where the verb "died" ought to be. A verb tells the reader who did the action, the time period in which the action was performed, whether the action is ongoing and whether or not that action has relevance today. The adjective does not convey any of that information. Why did the translators of my Bible not "declare...all the counsel of God"? This book is a result of researching several key verbs - "died" being one of many. I pray that it will edify the reader and bring him into a richer understanding of having "died with Christ". The author is an engineer by trade and resides in San Antonio, TX. He maintains a blog: www.sonsheirs.net which contains numerous articles on various Bible subjects. He can be reached at savedbygracesa@gmail.com. The author also penned "The Preaching of the Cross, When?", which addressed the question: When was the cross revealed to mankind, not just as a fact, but as Good News?

This book is a powerful way to express about how God is real, the devil is real, Heaven is a real place, and unfortunately hell is as well. God has blessed me with the gift of writing poetry, and my life story is nothing short of a miracle. I am truly grateful that God is all about redemption. I have combined poetry, scripture, and dialog to tell the tale of my addiction and how I got that way. It includes my struggles with prison and the adventure of how I ended up a pastor. With everything that is going on all around the world, our country in chaos, I just want to spread a little faith, hope and love. If you are struggling or know someone that has struggles this book is an incredible read. If you are perfect and your life is the best life ever, this book is an incredible read. The one thing I do know is people love a success story. Changes So many times, so many ways. So many changes, are changing our days. Some happen fast, some happen slow. Some leave us helpless, with no place to go. Others are awesome, and the outcome is great. But the ones needed most, are usually too late. What is crazy about life, and I think you'll agree. The longer we live, the more changes we see. So, this world that we live in, that is changing our lives. All we can do, is change, to survive.

  • - Biblical Precepts: Biblical Precepts
    av John I Ykema
    261

Leadership has a significant impact on all aspects of life. Good leadership is beneficial and poor leadership can bring disaster. This book explores leadership in the Family, the Church, and Society, borne out of an examination of the Biblical teaching on leadership and hands-on leadership experience. - What does the Bible tell us about leadership? - What are the characteristics of good leaders? - What are the benefits of good leaders? - What happens to the followers of incompetent leaders? - How can we train good leaders for the Family, Church, and Society? The Bible is a great source of wisdom on the characteristics of both good and poor leadership. Beginning in the very first chapters, and throughout the entire Bible, the Lord identifies leadership characteristics and the impact on the followers of good and bad leaders. Mr. Ykema served as a leader throughout his life, in his family, in the churches and Christian ministries of which he was a part, and in his professional endeavors. His experience includes 63 years as a registered professional engineer, working in the electrical engineering industry and in related national organizations. He also served on the boards of two churches, a Christian school, and a theological seminary, including many years as chairman of each. Through these experiences and personal study of Scripture, he is well-equipped to address the Biblical precepts regarding leadership.

Spirited Voyager: A Memoire of Motherhood, Mission and Ministry, is a broad-brush account of Rev. Dr. Susan M. Hudson's journey of faith from childhood until the present time. She and her family have traveled the world together in service to Christ's mission of love and grace. Sue's "comfort zone" would make most people uncomfortable, because she thrives in cross-cultural contexts and loves learning languages, though she is not fluent in any of them. She has dabbled in Greek, Hebrew, German, Korean, Urdu, Hindi and Spanish. She enjoys living life "in between" cultures.Sue gives us a taste of those travels as their family grew from two members to five. Her first priority was always her children once they arrived on the scene; however, her husband, David, also encouraged her to keep learning and following God's call upon her life. The pace of their journey was fast. They had to pick up their roots and start over more often than they had hoped, but when God invited them into a new adventure, they always responded, "Yes." The third "Raft" on Sue's journey, "The Raft of Inner Healing," slows the pace and helps Sue put the jigsaw pieces of her life and ministry together.

  • - 20 Nuggets About Speaking God's Word
    av Rozelia Harris
    247

Psalm 107:2 says, "Let the redeemed of the LORD say so." The one the Lord has redeemed should be saying something. We should be speaking in agreement with our Redemption. Psalm 34:12-13 highlights something about the person who wants to be pleased with life and see many good days. It indicates that this person has to speak a certain way. These are just two scriptures that provide information and instruction about our speaking. The Lord approached Abraham and told him how to speak in Genesis 17:5. The Lord did this to produce a certain outcome in Abram's life. Abraham's name was still Abram at the time and the Lord told him to start calling himself Abraham (which meant the father of a multitude). Abraham had to learn to speak a certain way. The Lord has done the same thing for us that He did for Abraham. He has given us information about words and instruction about how we should be speaking so that it produces certain outcomes in our lives. You will learn the following from the 20 Speaking Nuggets in this book: 1) why you should be speaking in agreement with God's Word; 2) things that your words can do; and 3) how Job's words impacted his life. These Speaking Nuggets will start you on the path to SAYING what God says so that you SEE (have and experience) what the Lord desires for your life and His Kingdom. Rozelia Harris is a Mississippi native. She grew up in historic Vicksburg, the city on the high bluff of the east bank of the Mississippi River. After graduating high school she continued her education, earning a Bachelor's Degree and MBA. She enjoys traveling and watching high school and collegiate football and basketball. Rozelia has fond memories of growing up in church and was born again in May of 1994. For several decades she has served in her local church in various capacities including: in the choir; on the Worship Team; in Children's Church; on the Greeting Team; in Pulpit Ministry; and as a part of the Prayer Ministry.

    251

Many people have the idea that to really be used of God you have to be exceptionally gifted or extremely talented. Drawing on well over five decades of ministry, Dr. John Caldwell has had plenty of experience to prove that is not the case. For the most part God uses what the world would consider to be ORDINARY PEOPLE to accomplish His work. John draws on his life and ministry experiences, personal convictions, and pastor's heart to underscore that fact. This book is not autobiographical but instead focuses on a wide variety of incidents and experiences the author has had. He also shares some of his deepest convictions. The chapters represent successes and failures, wins and losses. Some are tragic and some are humorous. Hopefully, as you read, you'll experience both laughter and tears. You probably won't agree with everything John writes, but you will be challenged. John Caldwell has four earned degrees, including a doctorate in ministry. After several years of crusade evangelism, he became the first pastor of Kingsway Christian Church of Avon, Indiana, where for the next thirty-six years he led the congregation from infancy to a thriving megachurch. He has traveled in over 100 countries, working alongside missionaries in at least two dozen of them. He has served as president of both The North American Christian Convention and The International Conference on Missions. He has written several books. Since retirement he has maintained a busy national and international speaking and writing ministry.
