A General Overview about Rethinking Sustainability Concept

The aim of this book, as a first initiative of an ongoing multi-facet research, is to examine the future of sustainability in a Post-Covid New Normal World. As a matter of fact, sustainability is undergoing significant changes regarding its context that depends on various parameters. The recent pandemic has illustrated that globalization phenomena cuts both ways, especially in the context of Sino-American rivalry which will determine the new world order. In the middle of this chaos, implementing health and education as independent pillars in the sustainability concept is of paramount importance. Furthermore, planting the seeds of sustainability during the post-covid world will call out for an alternative paradigm which is The Blue Economy. This latter depends on the fair and equal distributions of wealths as well as eradicating the current social, economic and ecological issues.
