A Matter of Time

With an expert eye for detail and strong intuition, professional investigator Glenn Matter is quickly drawn into a complex and ever-expanding mystery surrounding the violent death of a wealthy local. Matter finds himself in a tangled web of mystery and deception when he agrees to help out a friend sought by the police as a material witness in what initially appears to be a simple case of suicide. As Matter wades into the investigation, it becomes clear that this was no suicide, but a calculated murder. The pieces of the puzzle begin to come together in his mind as he uncovers new clues and follows leads down unexpected paths. As he delves further into the case, his suspicions are confirmed, but he soon finds himself at odds with the local police for whom any determination of death other than suicide is a non-starter. Amidst the chaos of the investigation, Matter also finds himself drawn to Kat, a woman he comes to dearly love, but presents her own mystery with her shrouded enigmatic life. With each new discovery, the pieces of the puzzle began to fall into place, revealing a dark and twisted plot that would challenge Matter's investigative skills and put his life in danger at the hands of an inept sniper. This is the first Glenn Matter mystery by Robin Hohweiler and represents his first venture into fiction writing.
