A Testament of Spears

The Numitorum recounts that,
once, there was no time,
no beginning or end,
no separation of the One
and the Other...
that the Great Goddess,
from beyond
the mists of the
Ocean Cosmic,
shattered them, bringing about
this bewildering change
from the way things truly are
to the way they now seem to be,
and in so doing brought Death into the world...Death, which all beings fear, for it is in their Nature.
Long ago, when the One World separated from the Other and was still yet young, the Tuatha possessed four sacred treasures, heirlooms of the endless time before. Now, the whereabouts of one, the spear Gae Bolg, has been discovered, calling out from the depths of ages.
Follow a young man as he as he must uncover the clues of the extinct Fir Bolg race and find within himself the answer to the questions of faith and virtue in action that it demands, as well as learn to harness the power of the Calcinative Quality, the mysterious force found between Form and Nature, truth and illusion, the One and the Other, from which all Magic springs, all to protect his village from the minions of Death personified. Swept up in the plot of treasure seekers after the riches of the fae, he may end up getting the help he so desperately needs, if he can escape the treacherous machinations of the Steward Princes, the ire of the old gods, and the desires of all the other powers that be who seek to claim the Spear of Fate.
