Gracie and her brothers, Gavin and Jordan, live in a cabin located on the edge of the enchanted Dufflebury Forest in the kingdom of Amohalko. He seems to be a wizard who transforms her into a princess, creates a castle for her to live in, and gives her an entire kingdom. In her new identity as Princess Feathertree, she becomes a friend to those who struggle with bullies, worry, pride, and unforgiveness.
