Om Antimicrobial Drug Resistance in Foodborne Pathogens
The rise in drug resistance has become the most serious public health hazard and contributes to human infection, which can lead to new deadly foodborne pathogens. Almost 70% of Gram-negative bacteria, including E. coli and K. pneumoniae are resistant to fluoroquinolones, third-generation cephalosporins, and carbapenemases. Herbal medications have recently demonstrated excellent antibacterial activity against the majority of enteropathogens strains.
