Om Betrayal
It was a cold winter night in a secluded cypress wood cabin where I sat alone in the dark. Earlier that day, I had been approached by the church's leadership that I had pastored for 24 years and was told to hand in my keys and clear out my things, and it was made clear what the consequences would be if I refused. I was ousted. I felt the ultimate betrayal!
My argument to God was that I had been there longer than any other in leadership. And that I didn't deserve how I was being treated. As God and I had our moment, He said to me, "Are you finished?"
"Yes, Sir," I replied.
"Let me ask you a question," said God. "Where is Dwain? Where is the eighteen-year-old I called to preach?"
I had become what had been done to me! I am here to tell you that God's love, grace, mercy, and forgiveness covered me like a warm blanket of His glory, and God began to heal me of the ultimate betrayal.
He can do the same for you!
